Why Perry? “It’s that feeling you get when you suddenly realize that the smartest, funniest, coolest girl you know also happens to the best looking and a pretty good skateboarder too,” Joe Levy, Maxim editor in chief, explained to ABC News. “All of a sudden, your crush goes supernova, and this is Katy’s supernova moment.”

Perry, who just released her new single, “California Gurls,” made the list alongside Sports Illustrated cover model Brooklyn Decker (#2), “Avatar” actress Zoe Saldana (#3), “Gossip Girl” star Blake Lively (#4) and “Jonah Hex” leading lady Megan Fox (#5).

“[Megan is] a sex symbol for the ages,” Levy said. “Megan’s sultry looks hit every red-blooded guy right in the gut.”

But it seems that the other ladies don’t have Perry’s unique appeal, Levy said. “[She's] a triple — no, quadruple — kind of hot,” Levy told Us Weekly.

Perry isn’t the only pop star on this year’s list: Taylor Swift (#31), Christina Aguilera (#38), Britney Spears (#54) and Nicole Scherzinger (#24) also made the cut.

A number of Hollywood’s hottest actresses also made the cut this year. Last year’s #1, Olivia Wilde, fell to #20 this year. She’s joined by Angelina Jolie at #38, Emma Roberts at #78 and “The Hills” star Kristin Cavallari at #76.

Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth are definitely heating up! After taking in Deacon’s soccer game in LA on Saturday, the happy couple joined an a-list crowd at the wedding of  Colin Hanks and Samantha Bryant.  Sources say the two lovebirds couldn’t keep their hands off each other!

Sitting next to Alyssa Milano and her husband and a few rows behind Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson, “they seemed totally in love and were holding hands for most of the ceremony,” a source tells UsMagazine.com. “Jim had his arm around Reese’s back, and she rested her head on his shoulder. Reese was listening to every word that was said and she would laugh at the funny parts and then turn to Jim.”

At the end of the ceremony, “Jim pulled her in close and kissed her on the lips and cheek and then gave her a long hug,” adds the onlooker. “Watching other people say their vows really brought out the love in them. They were very sweet and affectionate.”

As they exited, “they held hands and said ‘hi’ to people,” the source tells Us. “Then they walked over to the pool area for cocktails.”

What’s up next for Reese? Next up – she plays a softball player in the  romantic comedy How Do You Know, starring Jack Nicholson, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson. In 2011 she will be releasing This Means War, Water for Elephants (YAY!) and Pharm Girl. After that – she’s one busy girl. She has TWELVE movies tentatively lined up after that!!

“All The Lovers” marks Kylie’s first new single in two years!

The track, taken from Minogue’s upcoming album Aphrodite, will premiere on UK radio stations on May 14, followed by a release in the U.S.

Kylie has been dating Andres Velencoso Segura since they met while filming an advert for her fragrance in 2008.

He told Spanish Vanity Fair magazine: ‘It started off as a fling with Kylie. It turned into love and now each of us supports the other. We complement each other really well.

‘I’ve found a woman who loves me and I love her. Happy, that’s how I feel!’

But despite their happy relationship, Kylie recently admitted she is no rush to get married, and may never walk down the aisle.

She told Elle magazine: ‘Maybe it’s a path I’ll never go down. All I know is you can do worse than expect the unexpected.

‘I’m in a very happy, romantic place. I thought those days were gone but I’m just doing what I feel.’
