The new issue of Us Weekly reports that Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz are locked in a bitter battle over Alex Rodriguez. (On May 2, Diaz was spotted leaving A-Rod’s $30,000-a-month penthouse with overnight bags; Hudson dated the Yankees slugger from May to December of last year.)

An insider believes Diaz is bedding Rodriguez as a form of retaliation after Hudson hooked up with Justin Timberlake in January 2007 — just two days after the couple of four years split.

“Kate thinks it’s payback, pure and simple,” the insider says. And Hudson’s not 100 percent wrong. Says a Diaz pal, “Cameron was actually in a serious long-term relationship with Justin. She thinks it’s a joke Kate would be mad. Kate is only upset because she hates being single.”

In an effort to hold on to Rodriguez, one source even contends that Hudson (who has a son, Ryder, 6, with ex-hubby Chris Robinson) got breast implants postsplit to appeal to the Yankee’s preference for “busty women.”

The MTV fans have spoken! Voting their favorite motion pictures into the stratosphere for the “2010 MTV Movie Awards,” film fans everywhere have made “The Hangover,” “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and “Avatar” this year’s top nominated films. Fans can expect to see another cinematic fight to the finish as these three juggernauts battle some heavy competition from each other and from the two mega-movies nipping at their nominated heels: “The Proposal” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.” Winner voting for the “2010 MTV Movie Awards” in 12 returning and brand-new categories begins today, Wednesday, May 12 at 12pm ET/9am PT at MovieAwards.MTV.com and closes Saturday, June 5. Aziz Ansari hosts the “2010 MTV Movie Awards” LIVE on Sunday, June 6 at 9pm ET/8pm C from the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, CA.

Making this year’s show another battle of the super-fans, the hit comedy “The Hangover” leads with six nominations; the blockbusters “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” and “Avatar,” are neck-in-neck with five nods each; and audience favorites “The Proposal” and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” are each up for four awards. “Team Edward” and “Team Jacob” — make room for “Team Na’vi” as “The Twilight Saga” prepares to defend its popcorn statue legacy against “Avatar” in the “BEST MOVIE,” “BEST KISS” and “BEST FEMALE PERFORMANCE” categories. Showing that fan loyalty of “The Twilight Saga” knows no limits, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner will go up against each other in the “GLOBAL SUPERSTAR” category and the men of “New Moon” will face-off against “Harry Potter” superstar Daniel Radcliffe for the “BEST MALE PERFORMANCE” award.

Rachel Uchitel first made headlines for her affair with Tiger Woods. But before Woods, there was actor David Boreanaz. The couple allegedly had an affair while he was still married, and Radar Online has exclusively obtained never-before-seen Blackberry messages between Boreanaz and Uchitel. In the messages, Uchitel is obviously angry with Boreanaz for not spending enough time with her. “I need you here so we can be together,” she allegedly wrote.

Boreanaz tells her, “This is not a good time.”

Uchitel erupts in anger and writes, “I can’t do this anymore … Just go,” as the messages continue to rage on. 
Uchitel: “Just (bleeping) go and be with her.”

Boreanaz: “Why do u act like such a (bleeping) child!!! She is my wife.”

Uchitel: “Oh, please!! … You’re such a liar. You’re never leaving. You’ve wasted my time and I’m once again alone.” She adds: “I can’t (bleeping) be alone anymore. I’ve been alone my entire life.”

Boreanaz: “What the HELL are you talking about. We spend more than enough time together.”

Earlier this month, Boreanaz told PEOPLE that he was unfaithful to his wife of 9 years, Jaime Bergman. “Our marriage has been tainted with my infidelities. I just want to be open and honest. I was irresponsible,” he revealed.

Brody Jenner thinks his former best friend Spencer Pratt has gone off the deep end.

“I actually think he’s kind of lost it a little bit,” Jenner, 26, said on the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning radio show Wednesday.

The new issue of Us Weekly reports Pratt, 26, has major rage issues. On the May 11 episode of The Hills, he had a violent outburst after Heidi’s sister Holly confronted him about a crude remark he made about their mother being “just a vagina.”

Said Jenner, “Lately, it’s hard for me — even as someone who used to be best friends with him — to see what’s real and what’s not as far as he goes… I see he wants attention.”

Jenner also said Pratt “got all crazy with those crystals,” on which Us Weekly has reported the Pratts have spent $400,000.

Us Weekly also reports that the couple are in “panic mode” about losing their source of income because neither has taped since Mid-April. (Spencer was suspended from the MTV hit after threatening to kill a producer; Heidi’s role was reduced after she objected to a faux-divorce story line.)

A source tells Us Weekly show creator Adam DiVello “said he doesn’t think Heidi and Spencer will come back for the series finale.”

Naomi Watts has been chosen to play screen icon Marilyn Monroe in a new biopic.

The King Kong star will tackle the lead role in Blonde, an adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ imaginary Marilyn Monroe memoir which will be directed by Andrew Dominik, the moviemaker behind The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.

The $20 million production will begin filming in January 2011, and Dominik is delighted to have found his Monroe.

He tells ScreenDaily.com, “Why is Marilyn Monroe the great female icon of the 20th Century? For men she is an object of sexual desire that is desperately in need of rescue. For women, she embodies all the injustices visited upon the feminine, a sister, a Cinderella, consigned to live among the ashes. I want to tell the story of Norma Jeane as a central figure in a fairytale; an orphan child lost in the woods of Hollywood, being consumed by that great icon of the twentieth century.”

Monroe, born Norma Jeane Mortenson, died in 1962 at the age of 36 following a drug overdose.
