Nick Jonas and Selena Gomez have called off their romance … again. Though the Disney stars never confirmed they’d tried another round of their on-again, off-again relationship, a source tells PEOPLE: “They were an item, but they are no longer together.”
“It’s evident to everyone that they will always have a super strong connection,” says the source, who also notes the kids are both too busy to work on their relationship. Jonas has been filming his show (‘Jonas’) for the Disney Channel and is preparing to tour with his brothers; Gomez is gearing up to film a movie this summer.
The split happened three weeks ago, E! News reports. It’s possible that Gomez has already moved on — the ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ star has been seen around town with 19-year-old Cameron Quiseng, bass player in the new boy band Allstar Weekend.
On March 23, Quiseng joined Gomez, Taylor Swift and ‘Glee’ star Cory Monteith for what seemed to be a double date. Gomez posted a Twitter pic of herself and Quiseng after a March 16 bowling date, with the caption: “I won.”
Jake Pavelka has been donning some classy duds for his stint on Dancing With the Stars and he admits to OK! that his former frumpy fashion sense has gotta go!
The Bachelor star got dissed recently when photos surfaced of Jake wearing a turtleneck shirt and dad jeans.
“That blue turtleneck — I wore it one day for four hours and I had several different pictures taken in it,” he laughed. “I have burned that shirt. I no longer own it. It’s a pile of ashes.”
When reminded by OK! that the ripped jeans raised eyebrows, too, Jake said, “Did they get me on the jeans, too? Well, then, the jeans are gone! Let’s see what the lawnmower does to them.”

Splitting from her longtime partner, Tim Robbins, three months ago has left Susan Sarandon with some mixed – but hopeful – feelings.
“I did a movie a long time ago where I had to fly in a glider,” the Oscar-winner, 63, tells Entertainment Weekly in its new issue. “You get towed up in the air by a plane, and it’s loud and annoying. And at some point you pull the cord and you’re suddenly floating, and in your mind it makes absolutely no sense. But it’s exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. That’s where I am now.”
But Sarandon, who called it quits with Robbins in December, hasn’t let that fear change her outlook on courtship – or love.
“It’s a long time to not be dating and then go back into it,” she says, while also remaining tight-lipped about a rumored romance with Jonathan Bricklin, 31, a partner in her New York ping-pong club, SPiN.
“I certainly love the idea of being in love, and I love the idea of companionship,” she adds. “Whatever happens next in terms of romance and partners, I don’t know.”
The actress, who told People in March that the secret to staying young was being happy, seems to have found another mantra to live by.
“I think the point is just keep moving,” she tells EW, “and to just say yes to life.”
