This commercial is weird! Nike released a new ad featuring golf star Tiger Woods who returns to the game after weeks of bad press following news he cheated many times on his beautiful wife, Elin.
In the black-and-white ad, the camera zooms in as a sullen-looking Woods listens to the voice of his late father ask poignant questions.
“I want to find out what your thinking was,” Earl Woods says. “I want to find out what your feelings are. Did you learn anything?”
Despite their recent separation, Kate Winslet and Sam Mendes continue doing the school run together in New York City. The couple have been showing a united front all week, with both parents taking Mia and Joe to school.
Superstar singer Rihanna joined Ryan in studio Thursday and revealed detailed of her much talked about romance with Dodger outfielder Matt Kemp. She also told us that she is indeed planning bff Katy Perry’s bachelorette party prior to the wedding, which she revealed will take place in India.
On Matt Kemp rumors:
“Ummm…he’s my boyfriend. It’s new and it’s fun and it’s nothing too serious. I don’t want anything that’s going to take up so much of my energy and time right now in a bad way. I just want to have fun and that’s what it’s about.”
On planning Katy Perry’s bachelorette party:
“She put that on me last week. Now I have to come up with something cool because she’s getting married in India, so I’m like ‘ok, now what do I do to match that for a bachelorette party’”.
“I’m not going to lie: There are times I play mind tricks on myself, like that the french fries are poison. With desserts, I’ll let myself have just one bite, but I’ll look like a freak when I’m eating it, like when I did Duncan Hines commercials as a kid, just savoring every morsel.”
On criticism from gossipmongers:
“It has hurt me in the past when people say things like how ‘fugly’ I am or how horrible I look. I’ve had to learn not to give it such a high priority in life…. Look, when you’re trying to juggle all of this in your life, sometimes you’re not going to look perfect. I don’t have time to get a facial every couple of days.”
On having high expectations:
“For my album, I wanted to arrive at the MTV Awards in a British buggy on hydraulics. It didn’t quite work out that way, but, yes, I have all these big, huge dreams.”
On her relationship style:
“I’m a relationship girl, a romantic. When I was younger, I used to be the cheater. I’m not talking about going all the way—I wasn’t doing that in high school! But I’d have boyfriends, and then spring break would come around and I’d be a little bit naughty.”
George Lucas celebrates the 30th anniversary of his landmark sequel by opening his vault of rare and never-before-seen photos for an upcoming book, and this week’s issue has the exclusive excerpt. Star Wars hit theaters on May 25, 1977, and it was unlike anything anyone had ever seen. However, when most Star Wars aficionados go back to watch their favorite installment from the franchise it is not the original film, but its follow-up, The Emperor Strikes Back, that fans gravitate towards. EW explains why The Empire Strikes Back remains the ultimate Star Wars film.
The book also has great quotes from the cast and crew such as:
Mark Hamill: “Actually, Harrison and I never fought in either picture. It was Carrie and I who had the screaming matches from time to tie, though afterward neither of us could remember what they were about”
Carrie Fisher: “Eric Idle had returned from Tunisia, where Monty Python were shooting Life of Brian [1979]. And he brought over what I believe he called ‘Tunisian Table-Cleaner,’ which was a beverage. Well, Harrison came over and the Rolling Stones came over, and I think we stayed up most of the night. So when we arrived at Cloud City, we were very happy.”
