Tiger Woods has reportedly been seen reading Buddhist prayers off his BlackBerry throughout the week, connecting with his “spiritual” side as he prepared for today’s tee off at The Masters. While the reception he received so far at the golf tournament has been very welcoming, there are still some Tiger skeptics out there who delivered a strong message over Augusta National Golf Club today.

A plane flew over Augusta National Golf Club as Tiger teed off during the first round of the 2010 Masters Tournament today in Georgia.

“Tiger: Did You Mean Bootyism?” read a note trailing behind a small plane circling above the golf course as Tiger took his first swing.

His supporters on land gave him a grand ovation and the freshly-shaved golf pro seemed to be unaware of the circling critique above.

Tiger kicked off the tournament with a 300-yard drive and has been playing a “solid” game so far, despite any heckling.

You could almost hear America’s collective sigh of relief — or was that a sigh of frustration?

Wednesday’s results show was the most dramatic so far this season on American Idol. After Ryan Seacrest announced that lovable Michael Lynche received the lowest number of votes on Lennon-McCartney night and would face elimination, he sang for his life, reprising his performance of “This Woman’s Work” for the judges. Lucky for Big Mike he delivered (watch a clip), and the panel unanimously voted to bring him back next week, using up their one chance this season to save a contestant.

Now, a debate is raging on People.com about whether using the only judges’ save was a good idea or not. Check out these comments:

Miley Cyrus is so in love with co-star Liam Hemsworth that she’s planning to marry him — even though she’s only known him 10 months!

“She’s convinced she’ll spend the rest of her life with him,” says a source about the teenager’s surprising determination to get married this year. “She’s talking about a wedding as soon as she turns 18. She’s even asked her mom if she can wear her wedding dress.”

“He is awesome,” Miley gushed about her 20-year-old beau during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live. “We hang out almost every day. He’s almost become like my best friend.”

In fact, she’s so serious about Liam that she even flew out to Australia to meet his family and Liam’s met the Cyrus clan too!

“The whole family are great,” he tells OK!. “They’re really good people.”

Gerard Butler has a new lady friend: French TV journalist Laurie Cholewa, who interviewed the actor earlier this month as he was promoting The Bounty Hunter in Paris.

Although Butler was snapped grabbing costar Jennifer Aniston’s rear end during a photo call in Paris, he returned to the City of Lights a few days later to spend time with the single Paris native, 29. The couple was spotted admiring the art at the Louvre museum and dining together at two upscale eateries.

“They had some light salads and a bit of wine,” a waiter who served them at Cafe Marly tells UsMagazine.com. “There was a warmth and intimacy between them which suggested that they were getting on very well. They’re a very cute couple!”

A source at Cholewa’s TV station Direct 8 tells Us that the pair “had a great time together and are keeping in touch via telephone and email. There’s a real connection there…she thinks the relationship might be going somewhere, but we’ll have to wait and see.”

When contacted directly by Us, Cholewa laughed about her famous new beau. “He’s a great guy, but you’ll have to ask him about this,” she told Us. Does she want a serious relationship with Butler, 40? “He’s a bit far away!” Cholewa said.

The Cholewa source tells Us that the rising TV star is “smart and not at all star struck.” Still, she thinks Butler is “absolutely fantastic and looks as though she wants to talk about him all the time.”

Adds another Direct 8 colleague: “She’s ambitious…she never stops working, so hasn’t had a great deal of time for romance recently. She’s extremely sexy though — Gerard is a very lucky boy.”

Demi Moore isn’t against getting work done on her face, per se — she just hasn’t had any yet, she says.

The 47-year-old actress once again acknowledges — and debunks — long-standing rumors that she’s had extensive plastic surgery.

“I have had something done but it’s not on my face,” she clarifies in the May issue of British Elle magazine (as reported in the Daily Mail and Huffington Post)

“You know what? Maybe one day I’ll go under the knife,” she retorts. “It just irritates me that people are constantly saying how much I’ve spent on plastic surgery.”

The wife of Ashton Kutcher and mother of three kids with ex Bruce Willis sighs, “I wish there was a little bit less curiosity and fascination with how I look, whether it’s good or bad…I only hope it’s serving some sort of purpose…It feels like schoolyard name-calling a lot of the time. It hurts.”

Yet Moore also admits that she once “had an extreme obsession with my body. I made it a measure of my own value. I tried to dominate it, which I did, and I changed it multiple times over.”

But she adds philosophically: “Does being thin resolve anything? No. The irony is that when I abandoned that desire to dominate my body, it actually became the body that I always wanted. But it only happened when I stopped trying to control it. At the end of the day, this kind of obsession is pointless and meaningless.”

The star also looks back on the iconic 1991 Vanity Fair cover in which she posed nude while 7 months pregnant with daughter Scout LaRue. “I was brave. I was so brave,” she boasts. “I had no sense of the impact that it would have. I just wanted to push the boundaries.”

On Wednesday, Moore confirmed via Twitter that she will play Miley Cyrus’ mom in a remake of the French film LOL, which stars shooting in July.

Forget Tony Dovolani’s brave face and chirpy public support of Dancing with the Stars partner Kate Gosselin.

Behind the scenes, “he can’t wait to get rid of her, even if it means losing early,” a show insider says in the new issue of Us Weekly, out now.

Last week’s fiery clip of the the duo struggling to rehearse and get along (Dovolani threatened to quit) is only the tip of the iceberg, multiple sources say.

According to one, the “argumentative” reality mom, 35, snapped at Dovolani, 36, during a particularly frustrating practice at her Pennsylvania home: “I’m the reason anyone knows your name,” she spat, “so give me a break!”

Gosselin has even commanded that Dovolani enter her house through the basement door, rather than the front entrance. “She says it’s quicker, but she’s just showing him she’s the boss,” a Gosselin source says.

“They hate each other,” a DWTS insider says. “Backstage, she will back him into a wall to talk, and he won’t listen or look at her.”

Dovolani hasn’t kept quiet about the friction, either. The dancer “complains to producers about how impossible she is. He doesn’t want to be around her unless he has to,” a source recounts.

Adds another, “Not only is Kate the worst dancer, but she’s nasty. It’s an ongoing joke how Tony got the short end of the stick when he was assigned to Kate.”

It’s official: Rihanna and Los Angeles Dodger Matt Kemp are an item.

“Umm, he’s my boyfriend,” the pop singer told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM show, following several months of speculation about a romantic connection.

But don’t look for an engagement announcement anytime soon. “It’s new, and it’s fun, and it’s nothing too serious, you know,” Rihanna, 22, said of their relationship. “I don’t want anything that’s going to take up so much of my energy and time right now in a bad way. I just want to have fun, and that’s what it’s about.”

For now, the Barbados native is focusing on her Last Girl On Earth North American tour, which also features Ke$ha and kicks off in Seattle on July 2. For the show, which Rihanna describes as a “whole roller coaster” with “five chapters,” she’s been taking lessons from blink-182 drummer Travis Barker.

“It’s so difficult,” she said. “It’s a lot of coordination. I thought I [had coordination] until I started playing drums. [But Barker] makes it really clear to understand.”

Rihanna shared another to-do on her already-packed schedule: planning Katy Perry’s bachelorette party.

“She put that on me last week,” she said. “Now I have to come up with something cool, ‘cuz she’s getting married in India, so I’m like, okay now what do I do to match that for a bachelorette party?”
