Mischa Barton was said to be devastated after hearing about a recent Twitter post from ex-boyfriend Brandon Davis that made cruel comments about her weight. (Read the nasty tweets here)

But now, Brandon tells In Touch exclusively that not only did he not make the taunts, he doesn’t even have a Twitter account! “I would never say anything nasty about Mischa, especially about her weight,” the oil heir tells In Touch.

“I am pissed that someone stole my identity and started Twittering things.”

Even his friend Michele Gargani knows he doesn’t do the whole Internet thing: “He has no clue what Twitter is, so it is obviously a fake account.”

One insider reports that Mischa has been offered $100,000 to publicly lose weight with Jenny Craig, although the company denies that claim.

Besides, says the insider, “Mischa’s not that fat and is working out with a trainer to get her body back to what it was before.”

Jessica Simpson has a message to those who think she wore concealer or blush on April’s Marie Claire cover: “I absolutely was not wearing makeup,” she told UsMagazine.com Monday at a Good Housekeeping bash in NYC. “Look at the cover — you can tell! My nose has been broken a couple of times. If you look at a retouched cover of me and you look at the Marie Claire cover, you can see there’s a big difference.”

Why no makeup?

“I really wanted to show women that I’m just a normal person,” she said. “I take the pictures. I don’t know what the magazine is going to do with it after that. I don’t know what the photographer is going to do with it after that, so it was important for me to make sure that they absolutely did not retouch. I just wanted people to see how I really am.”

She also told Us she was wearing a wig in those infamous photos she posed on Twitter Monday.

“I was just having fun,” she told Us of wearing a 60s-inspired pixie cut wig.

Though her mother Tina told Us her daughter would never chop off her hair, Jessica told Us: “Never say never! Maybe, but not right now!”

She also filled Us in on her love life, echoing previous remarks that she’d like to date a doctor or a chef.

“I’m just looking for a normal man!” she told Us. “Just somebody that’s normal! That’s it!”

When a rep for actress Abbie Cornish told UsMagazine.com in February that she had broken up with Ryan Phillippe, at least one person was surprised: Ryan Phillippe.

“I have a new rule: not to date anyone who has a publicist,” Phillippe quipped during a Monday radio interview on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio sho.

The actor explained that he and Cornish had privately ended their four-year romance face-to-face — but no one had warned him of an impending public statement claiming Cornish had dumped him.

“Who announces a breakup? I don’t understand that! There’s no need for that.”

Phillippe added, “I’ve been dumped on in the press for relationship stuff since Reese [Witherspoon] and i divorced.” Phillippe and Cornish began dating in 2006, around the same time as his split with Witherspoon after seven years of marriage.

“I’m tired of getting s*** on,” Phillippe, 35, told Stern. “I don’t feel like I deserve it. Things happen! How many people have you broken up with over your life?”

The actor and Witherspoon now share joint custody of their daughter Ava, 10, and son Deacon, 6 — and, he said, “it’s gotten to a place where we’re great friends and great co-parents.” Such great friends, in fact, that they console each other after breakups.

“After I had my breakup, she called, and after she did, I called.” Witherspoon, 34, called it quits with Jake Gyllenhaal in early December after nearly three years together.

Phillippe didn’t have much to say about Witherspoon’s new beau, Jim Toth. “I trust her to make the right decisions around our children,” he said simply “I hope she feels the same way.”

He points out that his kids don’t get too invested in their parents’ dating lives. “If the kids care about mom dad, and if that’s consistent and they feel protected that way, they don’t they don’t really care so much about who the parent is dating. They just don’t.”

To Howard Stern’s chagrin, Phillippe also reveals that he and his ex-wife have not had “ex sex.” “That hasn’t happened,” he told the shock jock.

Since the Cornish split, he said he’s “enjoying the single-ish” life, although he calls himself a “serial monogamist..Either a girl is worth spending all of my time with or none of my time.” He shoots down rumors that he’s hooked up with Victoria’s Secret model Selita Ebanks, Lindsay Lohan or Jessica Simpson. “I’ve never met Jessica Simpson!”

Get ready to see a lot more Heidi Montag on the big screen.

“I’m writing a movie right now. It’s very action packed,” the bikini-clad reality star, 23, told UsMagazine.com Sunday at the opening of the Liquid Pool Lounge at Las Vegas’ Aria Resort & Casino.

“It’s Bourne-meets-Barbie,” adds Montag, referring to Matt Damon’s action flicks. Montag would would “of course” play the starring role.

“I would love to be an action star,” continues Montag, who recently Twittered she wants to to be the “blonde Tomb Raider.”

She claims to have the experience.

“I’ve trained knife fighting and guns for over two years with one of the founding members of Saw, [who] was [in] the original Delta Force. So I’ve been shooting and practicing the whole real-life action figure for years,” she said. “So I’m very excited to have action roles.”

Montag recently filmed a cameo in Just Go With It alongside Jennifer Aniston. Whose acting career would she rather emulate: Aniston’s or the more action-packed Angelina Jolie’s?

“Actually, I want a combination of both,” says Montag, who was flanked by six bodyguards at the event.

In the meantime, don’t expect her to appear on Dancing With the Stars any time soon. When asked if she’d compete, she told Us, “I would love to host.”
