Jennifer Aniston has amassed a fortune appearing in front of the camera but now she’s going to try her hand at directing.

After making a string of rather forgettable romantic comedies, Jen has decided to step behind the camera and make her directorial debut.

“I have a project in development I’m going to direct,” Jen told U.K.’s The Sun. “After you get enough movies under your belt you sit back and go, ‘What’s next?’ It’s getting to a time where creatively I want to turn in a different direction.”

Brad Pitt’s ex-wife has a small bit of experience calling the shots — she co-directed a short film, Room 10, in 2006.

Directing a flick isn’t Jen’s only new project. In addition to filming Just Go With It — which features Heidi Montag’s movie debut! — she’s getting ready to hawk her own perfume, Lolavie. The scent will first be released in the UK this June and Jen promises it will smell “sexy and clean… floral, but not too flowery.” The photo above is from Lovalie’s ad campaign.

A judge sentenced Michael Douglas’ son on drug charges to five years in prison Tuesday, calling it his “last chance to make it.”

U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman announced the sentence after hearing 31-year-old Cameron Douglas apologize with his father in court, admitting that he had squandered a lot of opportunities to turn his life around.

Early in a sentencing hearing that stretched more than an hour, the judge said he was not confident that Douglas would turn his back on drugs after pleading guilty in January to charges that he dealt large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine.

He noted that he had read at least 37 letters from family, friends and supporters who “believe he has finally bottomed out in terms of his addiction and may be ready to turn his life around.”

Berman, though, said: “In my estimation, that will be a very difficult chore. I think this case and this sentencing may well be his last chance to make it.”

The sixth season of “Mad Men” may be its last.

The creator of the highly successful AMC series says he will not take the show beyond its sixth year.

Matt Weiner, who is also the series’ writer, made the announcement without fanfare at the National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas.

In response to a question about how he kept producing great content year after year, Weiner said he did not see that process continuing past a sixth season.

The show is currently filming its fourth season after winning the 2009 Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series.

“Mad Men” follows a prestigious ad agency in New York at the beginning of the 1960s. It stars Jon Hamm as Don Draper.
