Gwyneth Paltrow worked hard for her buff Iron Man 2 body.
Her trainer put her on a super strict workout plan for the action flick (out May 7), Paltrow, 37, told UsMagazine.com at the Hollywood premiere Wednesday night.
“My trainer, Tracy Anderson, basically, like, pummeled me into submission and made me do all kinds of crazy things. She really changed my body for this movie, Paltrow — who gained 10 pounds of muscle for the role — said of her workouts, which included high-intensity dance aerobics.
She’s since scaled back her gym routine.
“If I’m home with my kids, I still like to do it [workout] every day, but I don’t go as crazy. I will do cardio one day and legs another day,” she told Us.
Paltrow is looking forward to a laid back summer with her husband Chris Martin and kids Apple, 6, and Moses, 4. “I just want to hang out with my kids and my hubby,” she said.
Even though she calls her children “a lot of work,” she said on an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show to air Thursday, “I would love to have another child at some point. I feel very, very lucky that I have two healthy nice ones.”
Moses and Apple “sometimes” have screaming temper tantrums, she admitted.
“They’re kids and they have to do what they have to do. You just have to wear earplugs sometimes…” she joked.

Go ahead: call Nick Cannon “Mr. Carey” — he doesn’t mind.
“It doesn’t bother me at all,” Mariah Carey’s husband told UsMagazine.com at Monday’s NBC/Bravo Summer Press Day in L.A.
Cannon isn’t offended by jokes about being married to the superstar singer — arguably more famous than he. “I love [the jokes], I welcome it. It’s fun…You take it with a grain of salt,” he told Us.
The star added that he knew what he was signing up for when he surprisingly wed Carey after a whirlwind romance in spring 2008. “She is, to me, the most famous woman in the world. I knew [my life] was going to change, and I was up for it. Considering everything, I was like, ‘hey, it doesn’t matter.”
As previously reported, Canon, 29, and Carey, 40, will once again renew their wedding vows this weekend (their second wedding anniversary is Friday). “This time it will be more traditional,” he told Us. “The last two weddings we had were kind of island-driven and off in remote places. This time we’re going to do it home.”
The couple plan on throwing a similar shindig each and every year, he says. “I have to do it every single year…if you were married to Mariah Carey, you’d want to marry her every year too! I just have to keep doing it to make sure it’s real.”
As for the latest baby rumor (debunked by Carey’s rep over the weekend), he quipped, “I might just have to hurry up and do it so the rumors can go away…her schedule is starting to calm down, you never know. In the next year or two the rumors might come true.”
And despite the “diva” label that follows his wife around, he says she’s a happy homemaker. “She is a great cook,” he raved. “And she is also a neat freak, so she likes to clean.”

Although in stable condition, Bret Michaels is now at a risk for seizures as he recovers from last week’s brain hemorrhage, new test results show. A new statement released Tuesday afternoon by the singer’s rep explains that Michaels, 47, suffers from a side effect called hyponatremia — a lack of sodium in the body, which leads to seizures.
The doctors call the discovery a “minor setback” and are “hopeful that Bret will gradually improve as the blood surrounding the brain dissolves and is reabsorbed into his system, which can be a very painful recovery and take several weeks to months,” the rep explains.
Still under 24-hour care at in the ICU of an undisclosed facility, the Poison frontman is “in positive spirits” and “responding well to tests and treatments,” the rep says. “His condition could have been fatal.”
The medical staff tending to Michaels still has not determined what caused the bleeding — though some continue to wonder whether it could be Michaels’ June 2009 injury at the Tony awards (when a prop piece struck him to the ground).
Also complicating his recovery: Michaels had an emergency appendectomy earlier this month, and also suffers from Type 1 diabetes.
The medical staff plans to release more specific information about Michaels’ condition next Monday.
Earlier Tuesday, Michaels’ father Wally Sychak told Extra about speaking on the phone with his ailing son. The Rock of Love star “sounded a little slow, but fine,” Sychak said.
“He understood what he was saying and knew me. Everything seemed good that way…They say he’s moving his arms and hands,” he said. “The best as they could expect at this time.”
