Sources on the set of The Hills fear that Heidi Pratt is developing a dangerous addiction to painkillers — months after her recovery from plastic surgery.

“She’s a shell of her former self,” a show insider tells the new issue of Us Weekly, on stands today. (A rep for the reality star, 23, tells Us, “This is completely ridiculous.”)

Indeed, Heidi and her husband, Spencer, have developed increasingly weird behavior. While their 2008 elopement to Mexico was done with a knowing wink, they’re recently “crossed over to this bizarre place,” the source says.

Case in point: Heidi only agreed to get 10 plastic surgery procedures in one day last November “because she knew it would be a huge story,” an insider says. (Laments pal Jason Wahler to Us, “I knew her when she was normal.”)

“They are addicted to the fame,” the source says. “As The Hills winds down and people start to care less, they are desperate to get back that high.”

Pals say they’ve always had a thirst for fame — especially Spencer, who declared shortly after The Hills premiered in 2006, “I’m going to date those girls and blow that show up.” (Before pursuing Heidi, he also went after Audrina Patridge.)

Says a source who knew Heidi then, “She was spellbound. If it weren’t for him, she’d be a mom in the suburbs.”

Hard rocker Slash and clean-cut teenage sensation Justin Bieber together in a strip club?

Slash thought it was a good idea, but apparently this would mean breaking the Canadian teenybopper’s curfew.

The two music stars arrived in Sydney on the weekend and 16-year-old Bieber said he’d like to catch up with the 44-year-old guitar legend over dinner.

“I told him, I said maybe me and the misses will take you to a strip bar,” Slash told reporters in Melbourne.

“But that didn’t happen ’cause his minder told me that he’s got a curfew and he’s with his mum.”

Slash is in Australia to launch the new MTV Classic channel.

His visit also coincides with the release of his first solo album, self-titled Slash, which features some of the industry’s most famous voices.

Over at Grey’s Anatomy, which recently saw original cast member Katherine Heigl exit, the key cast members, including Ellen Pompeo and Patrick Dempsey also have deals through next season. Sources say that at least Dempsey may not want to continue on the show beyond that.

Of course, as an ensemble medical drama, Grey’s Anatomy may reinvent itself and continue with new central characters the way ER did through a series of cast departures. Desperate Housewives and Grey’s Anatomy, both of which launched during the 2004-05 season, are down in the ratings by double digits this season but continue to be ABC’s top scripted series along with departing Lost, also from the 2004-05 freshman class.

The singer and Dukes of Hazzard star regularly flosses and uses mouthwash to keep her breath fresh – but she refuses to brush daily with toothpaste.

Appearing on Wednesday’s Ellen show, Simpson says, “My teeth are so white and I don’t like them to feel too slippery, but I do use Listerine and I do floss everyday. But, I don’t brush them everyday.”

And even then, she’s reluctant to use a toothbrush: “I’ll use a shirt or something. I know it’s gross but I always have fresh breath.”
