Gisele Bündchen: My Son Benjamin Is the ‘Biggest Miracle’

Gisele Bündchen is proudly showing off pictures of her 3-month-old son Benjamin on her official Web site – and the supermodel is just as open about how he’s changed her life.

“Giving birth was the most intense and life-changing experience,” Bündchen, 29, writes. “I am blessed to have been able to have a home birth surrounded by love, where I was able to feel safe. It was a powerful experience. I never felt so vulnerable but so strong at the same time.”

“I was so present to witness the biggest miracle in my life happen before my very own eyes,” her post continues. “To give life to another being – what a gift!”

When baby Benjamin, the supermodel’s first son with husband Tom Brady, was placed in her arms, “I looked into his precious eyes and felt an overwhelming, unconditional love,” she writes. “I felt a huge sense of accomplishment . . . I never felt so complete and empowered in my life.”

Bündchen also credits her mother, Vania, for being such a positive role model. “I grew up witnessing my mother always trying her best at doing all she could for the 6 of us girls. My mom devoted her entire life to her family and did it with such grace,” she writes. “She is my hero. She is the reason why I believe that a woman is the core of a family.”

Continues the supermodel: “I can only hope to be for my kids what she will and always be for us – our rock.”

Jessica Simpson: I Can Still Trust People

Despite John Mayer’s recent kiss-and-tell revelations about their sex life, Jessica Simpson says she remains, deep down, a trusting person.

“I’m not as guarded as you would think. I should probably be more guarded. I trust a lot of people, actually,” the actress and singer, 29, told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday morning.

Not that she’s over feeling disappointed in Mayer, who later apologized. “That’s truly how I felt and still feel,” she said. “Somebody that you have cared about for a long time, you just hope they can keep the intimate things intimate.”

On a lighter note, Simpson – whose new VH1 show, The Price of Beauty, premieres March 15 – introduced her new single, “Who We Are,” and spoke warmly of Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who worked on it with her. There has been speculation that the two are in a budding romantic relationship, though Simpson recently said they were just friends.

“I can’t find good enough words to speak about Billy,” Simpson said. “He’s a very, very dear friend. For him to give his time and his talents and share them with me, it was a great experience. And I hope we can do more music together.”

“Who We Are” is the theme song for The Price of Beauty, in which Simpson travels the world looking at what is considered beautiful in various cultures. The show was inspired by her weight controversy last year, when, she said, “if I put on 10 pounds, it was the end of the world.”

Looking back on those days, Simpson said then-boyfriend Tony Romo helped her through the worst of it.

“Tony was so great and so supportive and never ever made me feel like I wasn’t sexy,” she said. “I was embarrassed by what the world was saying, but I still had my friends and loved ones and family who appreciated me.”

Does Gabourey Sidibe need to lose weight to gain roles?

Gabby Sidibe’s performance in Precious earned her an Oscar nomination for best actress this year amongst Sandra Bullock, who called her “exquisite” during her acceptance speech, and Meryl Streep, making her a top star. But, PopEater reports that industry insiders are saying Gabby will need to lose weight if she wants to stay at the top.

“I’m not saying it’s correct, but it’s a simple fact that she will have to lose a lot of weight if she wants to keep getting parts,” a casting director told PopEater. “The same thing happened to Nikki Blonsky from Hairspray. Everyone said how great she was, and she hasn’t worked since.”

Friends of Gabby say she doesn’t feel pressure, but also point out that parts aren’t exactly being thrown her way.

Time will tell, but hopefully Hollywood will give Gabby a chance!

Jesse James: Sandra Bullock ‘Takes My Breath Away’

Jesse James may be a tough guy who builds motorcycles and performs death-defying stunts, but he’s not above the pomp of the Oscars – or being a plus-1 to the night’s most celebrated actress, his wife Sandra Bullock.

“It’s awesome,” he told People of being her date as they made their way into the Governor’s Ball at the Hollywood & Highland Grand Ballroom after the Oscar ceremony Sunday. “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to support my wife and her work. She does it all the time for me. She goes to Mexico, to the desert, to the hospital – a lot – to support me and my work. The least I can do is put on a suit and support her.”

James may be more comfortable in his garage than on the red carpet, but he was bursting with pride as he checked out his wife and her shimmering, gold-beaded Marchesa gown.

“She’s beautiful. She’s amazing. She takes my breath away,” James said. “Sometimes I look at her and I do, I just lose my breath.”

Watching Bullock, who won a Best Actress award for her role in The Blind Side, clutch her new gold statuette, James added: “I’m so proud of her. Nobody deserves this more and works harder. She’s old-school Hollywood – just gracious and a star who’s so much better than you expect them to be.”

Bullock, who told reporters backstage after her win that she was ready for a meal, got her wish at the Ball, where she dined on a smoked salmon and potato pancake appetizer and chicken pot pie.

What could make a night that included a smitten date, a dazzling dress, an Oscar win and chicken pot pie even better? “I just want to go home and be surrounded by everybody in my family,” Bullock told People. “That will make it all the more special.”
