(Blind Gossip) There was a well-known entertainment pair at the Academy Awards who sat together, occasionally holding  and laughing together. What a nice couple! Not. They actually can’t stand each other and haven’t lived together in months. However, as one of Hollywood’s perceived stable couples, they are not yet ready to explain to the world that their long-time (by Hollywood standards) relationship is over. Certainly not in such a public setting. And if one of them had showed up solo, or with another escort, it would have brought up too many questions. So it was easier just to go together, pretend that everything’s great, and to go their separate ways after the big event… each to a new boyfriend.

My guess? Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick. They seem to have very little spark whenever they are together!

What the cameras didn’t see, was the huge fight that left the female hysterical and in tears. The male found an old flame whom he agreed to have lunch with this week and it started a huge argument in front of several other stars. This left his lady love so upset, she threw her drink on him, screamed and stormed off to call her publicist. Not Zac and Vanessa.

My guess? Nicole and Joel? I’m stumped!

Corey Feldman — who starred in eight movies with the late Corey Haim — is mourning the death of his longtime friend, who died Wednesday at age 38.

In a statement on his blog, Feldman, 38, writes:

“I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren’t even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived.”

In 2007, Feldman appeared with Haim in the A&E reality show The Two Coreys, but it was canceled in 2008 after two seasons. The same year, Feldman said he was no longer speaking to Haim until he got sober.

Corey Haim had been suffering from flu-like symptoms for several days before finally stumbling in front of his mother at her Los Angeles apartment early Wednesday morning, a coroner spokesman confirms.

“Some time after midnight, he got up, he was dizzy and unsteady on his feet and knelt down,” L.A. County Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter tells PEOPLE. “His mom helped him to a bed and he became unresponsive in about a minute or so. She dialed 911 and he was pronounced dead at a local hospital at 2:15 a.m.”

The death of the former ’80s heartthrob at age 38 has been ruled inconclusive pending an autopsy and toxicology test. But Winter says, “LAPD believes it was a possible drug overdose.”

Haim had been living with his mother as she battled cancer, Judy Haim tells RadarOnline. “I am a cancer victim and Corey was helping me at home,” she said. “He was a good boy. I’m devastated by his death.”
