Kate Gosselin: The Dancing Diva?

According to sources, Kate Gosselin is acting like a “total diva” on the set of Dancing With the Stars, Page Six reports. She’s reportedly been behaving coldly towards the crew and isolating herself from other contestants.

Kate’s attitude has even caused Olympic figure skater Johnny Weir to stop talks on being on the show, Page Six reports. He apparently didn’t want to work with Kate.

“Kate doesn’t want anything to do with other contestants … While there’s a lot of camaraderie among the crew and other stars including Pamela Anderson, Kate has set herself apart… She wants to be queen bee,” a DWTS source said.

The mother of eights rep get back to Page Six, but a show source said, “She’s been rehearsing in Pennsylvania to be near her kids. For the short time she was in LA, she and the cast got along great.

The new season of DWTS starts March 22.

Portia de Rossi Is Glad She’s Not an Idol Judge

It wasn’t a love for butchered cover songs that led Ellen DeGeneres to the American Idol judges’ panel — it was the result of a simple marital directive.

“I was like, ‘Honey, that’s it. Go get another job,’” Ellen’s wife Portia de Rossi tells People with a laugh. “I’m that demanding.”

Maybe it wasn’t that simple, but de Rossi, who was being honored with the Visibility Award at Saturday night’s Human Rights Campaign Gala in Los Angeles, points out that Idol has quickly gone from guilty pleasure to a family affair. “I’m a part of American Idol now,” she says with a sigh. “I’m actually going to every taping of Idol because it’s really fun to be there and it’s fun to support her. I’m just glad that I’m not a judge.”

The star of ABC’s Better Off Ted sees the toll that Ellen’s new job takes when a contestant goes for a note that they should have passed on, or when the irascible Cowell starts to clean his claws. “It’s hard, especially when the contestants don’t do that well,” de Rossi says, “because I know that she will be struggling to think of something positive to say to them.”

The problem, according to de Rossi, is that as much as Ellen may have coveted the role, her personality is diametrically opposed to the job. “She doesn’t judge people,” the actress says. “She’s a very positive person. She doesn’t like to criticize, so it’s kind of a difficult role for her to play. She wants to give them good advice, but she also doesn’t want to be negative.”

Still, DeGeneres, who is juggling her daytime talk show with the grueling Idol schedule, is happy with her new gig. “She’s doing two things that she absolutely loves to do,” the actress says with a smile. “She’s very busy but she’s very happy being busy. She’s loving it, and I think she’s doing amazing.”

So, as Ellen strives to play the ballast to Cowell’s bombast, does de Rossi want to step into Ellen’s shoes and be an Idol judge? “No,” the actress says. “If I was up there, looking into the eyes of those young kids, I would probably be a pushover. I would be like a water-downed version of Paula [Abdul]. All I would be doing is applauding and telling them that they were magnificent all of the time.”

Rielle Hunter still loves John Edwards

John Edwards’ mistress Rielle Hunter is breaking her silence. The mother opens up for the first time in the April issue of GQ on her love for the senator, how they met, their relationship, and their two-year-old daughter, Quinn. “I feel comfortable talking now, because Johnny went public and made a statement admitting paternity,” Rielle says of breaking her silence.

“I didn’t feel like I could ever speak until he did that,” she continues in the GQ interview. “Because had I spoken, I would have emasculated him. And I could not emasculate him. He’s very supportive of me talking now.

“It’s been four years. It’s hard to know that people are out there speaking over and over and over again untruths. Lies. Consciously going out there and spinning the truth. Using me and Johnny and our relationship to make themselves look better, to play victim, or to get money.”

Rielle admits she was very intimidated the first time she me secretly with John in his hotel room.

“I had never experienced anything like what was flowing between us,” she says. “I sat on the other side of the room. I wouldn’t go near him. There was sooo much attraction and sooo much — I want to say love, but it wasn’t love at that point it was just this, this magnetic force field like I had never experienced. It terrified me. And, um, I eventually walked over to his side of the room. [laughs] He was pretty relentless.”

Their whirl-wind affair started that first night, with John contacting Rielle the next day.

“We talked on the phone almost every night for four hours. We met on February 21. On February 25 on the phone, from Des Moines, Iowa I fell in love with him. Head over heels in love. I was a goner.”

Rielle reveals she knew there were problems between John and his wife Elizabeth Edwards from the very beginning of their affair.

“He doesn’t lie to me and well, first of all, infidelity doesn’t happen in healthy marriages,” she says. “The break in the marriage happens before the infidelity. And that break happened, you know, two and a half decades before I got there. So the home was wrecked already. I was not the Home Wrecker.

She also explains that John would never lie to her because he does not fear her.

“He’ll tell me anything and everything. He has no fear that I’m going to abuse him. Most of his mistakes or errors in judgment were because of his fear of the wrath of Elizabeth…. And you know, the wrath of Elizabeth is a mighty wrath”

Despite Rielle’s opinions of Elizabeth as a wife, she says she has complete sympathy for her terminal medical condition.

“Oh, my God, I have such compassion for her,” she says. “I really do. I mean, especially when you have terminal cancer. I watched my father die of cancer. It’s heart-wrenching to me. But it’s also really sad to me, her unwillingness to take responsibility for her part in the marriage.

She admits that John was supportive when he found out the pregnancy news but on some level, “he was hoping for an abortion.”

“He was always very gracious about it,” Rielle reveals. “And he always said that he would support whatever decision I made…but he wasn’t happy about the timing.”

Does Rielle see a happy future with John?

“I do know that I love him and that love is till death do us part, and probably beyond, she says. “We have a child together, so at the very least we will be co-parents together.”

Rielle felt that love from their first night together.
“He in fact did say to me the first night, “Falling in love with you could really f**k up my plans for becoming president,” ‘ she reveals. “And of course I said, ‘If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans.’ “

Miley: My Mom Had a “Crush” on My Boyfriend Liam Hemsworth

No awkwardness here!

When Miley Cyrus first met beau Liam Hemsworth on the set of their film The Last Song, she wasn’t the only family member smitten with her new Australian costar.

“I don’t know who had a bigger crush on him at the beginning, my mom or me,” Cyrus, 17, tells Entertainment Tonight of Hemsworth, 19; her mother Tish Cyrus was an executive producer on the film.

“I was like, ‘No, maybe he’s just too pretty. I don’t want to be with someone who’s better looking than me. That’s, like, awkward,’” the star recounts.

In fact, it was Tish Cyrus who convinced her daughter to go for it.

“My mom was like, ‘No, he is cute–he is!’” Miley says.

It was also a family affair when it came time for Miley and Hemsworth to smooch on screen. “Her mom was watching,” Hemsworth tells ET of the kissing scenes. “Her grandma was also watching, which was really funny. [The grandma] was on set everyday and she’d be right at the monitor with the headphones on… She should have been directing the film. She knew more about it than anyone.”

“Intimacy’s always tough,” Hemsworth says. “I feel like it’s the hardest thing for me as an actor.”

Of admitting their real-life romantic involvement, Cyrus adds, “I was so over denying it. It’s stupid to lie about it. It’s good news!”

Jessica Simpson Says “He’ll Never Have This Napalm Again”

Jessica Simpson faced the ladies of The View this morning while promoting her new show The Price of Beauty, but there was a different hot topic the ladies wanted to focus on — John Mayer’s recent Playboy interview. As for being called his “sexual napalm,” Jessica said, “Well, he’ll never have this napalm again.”

“My phone has been ringing,” Jessica explained to the ladies of The View. “It’s more embarrassing because I’ll walk into a restaurant and I’ll notice that more men are looking at me and I feel like they’re undressing me.”

Spencer leaving ‘The Hills’ to fight cyber terror

Spencer Pratt made his name as the guy audiences loved to hate on “The Hills,” but now says he’s leaving the show to take his career in a totally new — and unexpected — direction.

“In the last few months I have discovered a new passion and new purpose to my life,” Pratt tells PEOPLE. “With this in mind, I have decided to take a break from my obligations to MTV’s “The Hills” and discontinue filming any more episodes for this current season.”

Currently studying software engineering with a focus on encryption at USC, Pratt says he’s headed to work for American Defense Enterprises in their cyber security division.

“Upon learning of President Obama’s declaration that the ‘cyber threat is one of the most serious economic and national security challenges we face as a nation,’ I have decided to refocus my energy and devote my full resources to helping America face this and other unprecedented challenges,” he says.

“My new mission is this: To do my part in maintaining the technological superiority of the U.S. military and prevent emerging technologies from threatening our nation’s security.

“With that being said, I am saddened to take this break from filming MTV’s “The Hills.” At this time, however I feel I would not be honoring my country or myself if I were to continue this endeavor when I have the opportunity and the ability to assist our nation against these prevalent threats.”

Pratt’s wife, Heidi Montag, will remain on the show. Last week she announced that Pratt would no longer be her manager, and instead she hired a Malibu-based psychic named Aiden Chase.
