Jennifer Love Hewitt says it isn’t tough going to work, even though she recently split from her Ghost Whisperer costar Jamie Kennedy.

“It’s fine,” she tells USA Today. “Everyone’s a grown-up. It just is what it is.”

On Tuesday, the actress, 31, releases her new book — The Day I Shot Cupid: Hello, My Name Is Jennifer Love Hewitt and I’m a Love-aholic.

Weird timing?

“It’s not the ideal situation, but the thing I’m really happy about is that I never say in the book that I know how to find perfect love or how to be in the perfect relationship,” she says. “I’m thrust back into the dating world as the book is coming out, so I feel more than ever that people will know I’m kind of with them in the trenches.”

She says it isn’t tough being single again.

“It’s what life handed me, and I’m OK with it,” she says. “I know wholeheartedly that I’m a really good partner. I think I’m a really good girlfriend, and I think that I could be a really good wife. I know that I love being able to give my love out to someone. I know there is somebody great out there for me.”

Though she’s been dubbed a “serial dater,” she says she isn’t “that different from a large group of people out there who are better and happier when they can spend time with someone.”

Despite unsuccessful relationships with everyone from John Mayer to Scottish actor (and former fiance) Ross McCall, she says: “I’m a hopeless romantic. I love love. My middle name is Love. Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday. I want to have a family and children. I am a sucker for every romantic comedy that comes out.”

Her tip for getting over a guy?

“You can allow yourself 72 hours of wallowing time,” she says. “Then you’ve got to get into the gym, stop eating the ice cream and move on.”

Shannen Doherty wasn’t the judges’ favorite on Monday’s Dancing With the Stars premiere (she scored an 18), but she said hitting the dance floor was still special.

The reason: Her father, who lost his ability to speak after suffering a massive stroke last year, was in the audience.

“It was beyond emotional,” the 90210 alum, 38, told UsMagazine.com after the show. “It was amazing to have him here. I had eye connection with him throughout my routine and to see the pride and the love in his face was overwhelming to me. He is determined to come back every Monday, and it’s been great for him tonight.”

She told Us she was “so nervous” when she did the Viennese Waltz, but “I got through it. And I didn’t fall!”

Which fellow contestant surprised her partner Mark Ballas the most? “I thought Pam [Anderson] was awesome!” he told Us. “She hit it out of the park.”

Reps for Sandra Bullock and Jesse James have been interviewing divorce lawyers, according to TMZ.com.

Bullock’s front-runner: Lance Spiegel, who has handled divorces for Charlie Sheen, Heather Locklear and Michael Jackson, according to the site.

James – who will not be initiating the divorce – also is having his business people contact several lawyers, TMZ claims.

No papers have been filed yet.

Last week, James, 40, publicly apologized to Bullock, 45 — to whom he has been wed for nearly four years — after tattoo model Michelle McGee claimed she had a fling with him as Bullock filmed her Oscar winning role in The Blind Side last year.

Friends tells UsMagazine.com they doubt Bullock will reconcile with James.

Says one pal, “Knowing the kind of person she is, I’d be shocked if she contemplated going back to him.”

A source told X17online: “Paris and Doug looked like they were on a honeymoon. They would be on the beach for hours, just staring into each other’s eyes, kissing and laughing. At dinner Doug’s mom was overheard referring to Paris as her, ‘daughter-in-law’ and it’s pretty clear that Paris’ family feels the same way about Doug.”

While enjoying the break the couple reportedly went scuba diving through local ship wrecks as well as enjoying the facilities of the estate, including a private swimming pool, tennis court, fitness centre and cinema.

Paris, 29, has previously talked of the possibility of her and Doug, 24, marrying this year.

She said: “I wouldn’t rule out a wedding in 2010. With how amazing everything is going between us, I see a very bright and happy future.”

After a night out in February with Doug and her parents, Paris tweeted about how pleased she was at how well they got on.

She wrote: “What a fun night! My mom and Doug were so cute dancing together! I love how my parents love my love! We all had a blast! Great night! (sic).”

The former ‘Baywatch’ actress – who boosted her modest bust to a DD cup size – now thinks she should have left her boobs as they were.

The 37-year-old brunette star said: “I had breast surgery over 10 years ago, taking me from a 32B to DD, which took a bit of time to get used to. I didn’t want to go as big as that. It’s nice that I don’t have to wear a push-up bra any more, but I could have left myself alone.”

Carmen has also revealed her top beauty tip to get smoldering eyes – fake lashes.

She added: “I love using fake lashes when I’m on stage to create a dramatic look. But during the day I like to wear Giorgio Armani Eyes To Kill Mascara in Black.”

Carmen also recently decided to thin out her hair extensions after deciding her locks were looking too big.

She said: “I get my hair extensions done professionally, but when I was in Greece recently for a photo shoot, they looked too much so I got a hairdresser to give me thinner ones. Now they look very natural.”
