Kelly Osbourne to lend her expertise to Dr. Phil

Kelly Osbourne will be joining Dr. Phil’s talk show as a special contributor, starting Wednesday, March 24, and making additional appearances through the remainder of the season.

“Kelly is an excellent addition to our show because she’s experienced a lot of what many of our younger viewers may be going through,” Dr. Phil told Entertainment Tonight. “She has dealt with drug addiction as well as addictions within her family.

“She’s also fought the battle with obesity, and the public scrutiny that often accompanies it. She is well-armed and up to the task of being our special contributor.”

Kelly has been working hard to maintain a healthy lifestyle and promote a positive body image for young women. She rejects the Hollywood ideal of being stick thin, and is an activist for women leading healthy lives.

“I am excited to be a part of Dr. Phil as a contributor for the show,” Kelly said. “It offers a great opportunity for me to bring a youthful perspective and opinion on the issues that affect our selves, our families and society as a whole, and I’m very honored to be a part of it.”

“I really hope I can use my life experiences to do some good,” she added.

For Kelly’s first assignment, she will be taking part in a panel alongside Dr.Harold C. Urschel III, founder of the Urschel Recovery Science Institute, The Insider correspondent Chris Jacobs, and California Attorney General Jerry Brown in a discussion about prescription drug use in Hollywood, and its effects on today’s teens, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Keep up the positive activism Kelly!

Claudia Schiffer is having a girl!

It’s a girl!

Claudia Schiffer, who is expecting her third child at 39, announced the baby’s sex on German TV channel RTL Monday. (Translated via celebritybabyscoop.com.)

How’s she celebrating? With a big pint of beer.

“I have cravings like any other pregnant woman, but I like to drink beer. Non-alcoholic beer!” The German supermodel said.

Schiffer — who is due in May — and her husband, director Matthew Vaughn, are already parents to two children, Caspar, 7, and Clementine, 5.

She also opened up about cutting back on work after wedding Vaughn in 2002 and becoming a mom.

“I used to work every single day and travel round the world. I worked weekends, I never took one second off. When I met my husband I said, ‘You know what, this is important. I’m not going to work weekends any more,’” she explained. “And when I had kids, I became even more careful. Modeling work is fine because you can do one day here, two days there — you’re never long gone.”

Schiffer has said she “loves being pregnant.

“You can do whatever you want. You don’t feel guilty, because I used to feel guilty about having a day off,” she said.

“And, you know, something really strange happened to me. Before my pregnancies, I was someone who had to watch their weight. I had a personal trainer, I was working out, I would never eat anything sweet,” she continued. “Anyway, I got pregnant and when I was breastfeeding it just came off. I can eat whatever I want. If I don’t eat enough, I will lose weight.”

Taye Diggs on His Son’s Numerous Nicknames

His birth certificate may read Walker Nathaniel Diggs, but Taye Diggs and wife Idina Menzel are calling their baby boy anything but his given name.

“I’m worried that he doesn’t know his name because we have so many nicknames for him,” the Private Practice star told Ellen DeGeneres during a Friday appearance on her show.

Often referring to the 6-month-old as Skywalker, Walkman, Walkathon, and Little Papa, Diggs’ favorite seems to be Swirl.

“Because he’s chocolate and vanilla swirl … and then on the back of his head he’s got a little swirl,” he explains, adding, “I love him so much!”

And Walker isn’t the only one with a new moniker — Diggs laughs that his own first name is a thing of the past. “These days my name has turned into, ‘Honey, could you just,’” he jokes.

“‘Honey, could you just get me some tea? Honey could you just get the baby seat?’ It’s always right when I’m about to sit down. ‘Honey, could you just…’ ‘Yes, baby!’ ‘Honey, could you just…’ ‘Yep, I’m right there!’”

Pro: Kate Gosselin Will Be “First to Go” on DWTS

Who will win Dancing With the Stars this season?

Professional choreographers Dan Karaty and Stacey Tookey agree: Nicole Scherzinger.

“I will be shocked if Nicole doesn’t win,” Karaty, who has worked with Jessica Simpson and Sarah Jessica Parker, tells UsMagazine.com about the Pussycat Doll, who earned the high score of 25 points out of 30. “As expected, she gave a great performance and she is far and away the best celebrity dancer out there.”

Tookey, who counts Madonna as one of her clients, says Scherzinger has a “huge advantage” as a pop performer.

“She has experience learning choreography and is extremely comfortable on stage,” Tookey tells Us. “Nicole and Derek Hough’s performance was hands down the best of the evening!”

As for who Scherzinger’s top competition may be, Tookey thinks Pamela Anderson (21 points) and Olympic figure skater Evan Lysacek (23 points) will make it to the finals.

“Although Evan needs a lot of work in terms of personality, his dancing was very good,” Tookey says.

Karaty even thinks Bachelor Jake Pavelka (20 points) may go far “because his partner, Chelsie Hightower, will get him through.”

In terms of partner chemistry, Karaty also enjoyed watching Maksim Chmerkovskiy and sportscaster Erin Andrews (21 points), who “had a connection that everyone could feel.”

Despite 80-year-old Buzz Aldrin’s lowest score of the night (14 points), the worst dancer — and the star both pros predict will be the first voted off the hit ABC show — was Kate Gosselin.

“Kate delivered the most embarrassing performance of the night,” Karaty tells Us. “She showed zero ability, will or desire. She needs to go.”

Tookey commends the mother of eight for her “courage and effort” but adds she was “completely unnatural and uncomfortable the whole time” and has “no doubt” she’ll be the first to go.

Kim Kardashian & Reggie Bush Taking Step Back in Their Relationship

Another week, another split rumor for Kim Kardashian and her NFL beau Reggie Bush.

The couple, who started dating in 2007 and broke up briefly in 2009, haven’t ended things – but they are taking a step back in their relationship.

“They are trying to decide what to do right now,” a source tells People. “Reggie has issues with her busy life and schedule and she can’t give it all up.”

But this couple isn’t calling it quits yet.

On Monday, Bush flew to Miami and spent the day with Kardashian. Says the source: “It was super cool between them.”

After reconciling in Sept. 2009, Kardashian told People that her time apart from Bush would ultimately help them grow stronger as a couple. “I think sometimes people need to take a break just to take time off to see how much they need each other and how much they really are compatible,” she said at the time. “We just made the decision that we want to make it work, and the time off was really beneficial for the both of us.”

Kardashian subsequently bought a house for herself in Beverly Hills, and the couple considered moving in together.

“She’s totally happy and fine with everything,” the source says. “Kim and Reggie are best friends; they really are. It’s just more that he can’t deal with her life and all the fame she’s gotten. She and Reggie started dating before she even had her show. They are working on seeing what they both want.”

Reps for both Bush and Kardashian did not return calls for comment.

Miley yes, Conan no on American Idol

American Idol fans will get a look at teen idol Miley Cyrus, but forget about seeing late-night victim Conan O’Brien on the hit show.

Miley will be the special guest on Tuesday’s Idol, mentoring the remaining 11 contestants — even thought most are older than the 17-year-old star! Miley, whose movie The Last Song opens March 31, is also set to sing her new single, “When I Look at You.”

On the elimination show the next night, Miley’s best friend, Demi Lovato, will perform with her boyfriend, Joe Jonas, but deposed Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien won’t appear on the show anytime soon. Conan was invited by producers to be on the “Idol Gives Back” episode, scheduled for April 21, which this year will benefit the United Nation’s Foundation Fund for Haiti, the Children’s Health Fund and other charitable groups. But NBC is saying no to the charity appearance because Conan cannot appear on TV until May, according to the agreement he reached with the network when he was fired from Tonight.
