Pal: Sandra Should “Smack” Jesse “Upside the Head”

Sandra Bullock “waited so long to find true love” before wedding Jesse James in 2005 at age 40, her longtime costumer Joel Voorhies tells UsMagazine.com.

Voorhies worked with Bullock, now 45, on 23 of her films, and says the low-maintenance star “would often grab the needle and thread for me!” Voorhies spoke to Us’ Deputy News Editor Natalie Thomas for an exclusive interview about Bullock, who hasn’t been seen in public since last week’s reports of James’ affair with tattoo model/stripper Michelle McGee. He praises his pal as “loyal to a fault. [She] believed that people are honest and true.”

When Bullock began dating James in 2004, “there was something new about her,” Voorhies observes. “She got a little more girly. One of the things she’s known for is being one of the guys– and he’s a guy’s guy.”

Pre-James, Bullock dated such actors as Tate Donovan and Ryan Gosling but “wasn’t a serial dater,” Voorhies says. Monster Garage star James “was a breath of fresh air. He had his own thing going on and they didn’t step on each other’s heels. They were such a nice couple.”

He adds, “for her to marry someone at 40, it’s a big deal…She was head-over-heels. He was the one. And maybe he still is.”

Voorhies attended the “lovely” July 2005 wedding. “There was fried chicken, she wore Angel Sanchez and cowboy boots. It was this down home, normal thing. She danced with the little kids. Everyone knew everyone — no Hollywood types. It was about sharing this relationship with everyone else.”

These days, the Oscar-winning star has gone into deep seclusion and is “completely sealed off,” another friend tells Us; on Wednesday, unconfirmed reports claimed she had returned to Los Angeles following a retreat in Austin, Tex.

“This is probably one of the most devastating pieces of information she’s ever gotten,” Voorhies says. “I don’t think she’s sitting around balling her eyes out. She’s probably trying to be proactive. I would hope she gave him a good smack upside the head, at least!”

Should she opt to divorce, Bullock has another thing to consider: her three stepchildren, including little girl Sunny, 6, with whom she’s particularly close. “She’s not going to walk away from those kids,” Voorhies says. “That’s who she is. She will not divorce everyone in the family. She would maintain a relationship on whatever level that was best for the kids.”

“Don’t feel sorry for Sandy,” he says. “Sandy is one of the most intelligent, thoughtful, strong women. Everybody gets hurt. She will rise above it. She will make a decision that will work for her. This moment in time does not define who she is.”

PETA targets Jessica Simpson over snake skin

To Jessica Simpson, fashion is only skin deep!

PETA is calling out the Price of Beauty star, 29, for wearing exotic skins. The animal rights organization is also criticizing fellow snake-skin lover Catherine Zeta Jones as well as Victoria Beckham, Sarah Jessica Parker, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton for having scales in their ensembles.

In an effort to get A-listers to stop, Joaquin Phoenix is hosting a new PETA video — one of his first video appearances in months — on the skin trade that exists with such animals as alligators, lizards and snakes. (Watch the video here. Warning: the content is graphic and disturbing.)

“Did you know that mother snakes keep their eggs warm by wrapping their bodies around the eggs and then shivering to generate heat?” Phoenix, 35, says in the video short. “Exotic animals are mostly unknown to us, and so is what they suffer before being turned into belts and bags?”

Phoenix — who had fans scratching their heads last year when he began making bizarre public appearances, claiming that he quit acting and was becoming a rapper — isn’t the only star PETA is thanking for his work for the ethical treatment of animals.

The organization commends that British comedian — and vegetarian! — Russell Brand for opting to wear fake snake.

PETA tells Us that they are sending their latest video to Simpson, Beckham, Parker and the other stars cited in the hopes they will change their fashion choices.

Sources – Michelle McGee Isn’t Jesse James’ First Mistress‏

Sandra Bullock’s husband Jesse James cheated on her with other women besides tattoo model Michelle McGee, multiple sources tell the new Us Weekly. “This is just the first person who has gone public,” one source tells Us Weekly. Adds another, “This is not an isolated incident. When Sandra is away, he gets bored.” In fact, James’ infidelity has been an open secret among employees at his West Coast Choppers bike shop in Long Beach, Calif. “Everybody knew,” one source tells Us Weekly. James, 40, would regularly post Internet ads looking for “hot, tattooed biker chicks with big boobs,” says a source. Adds another, “He sees their photos, answers the ads and invites the girls to his office.” How could Bullock, 45, be in the dark about her husband of nearly five years? “He is a whole other person when they’re together,” says a source. Adds an insider, “She was completely duped.”

How Miley Cyrus Found Love When Her Boyfriend Opened the Door

Miley Cyrus’ boyfriend, Liam Hemsworth, opened the door to the pop singer’s heart – literally.

When the couple, who have been dating about 10 months, first met on the Tybee Island, Georgia, set of The Last Song, “he opened the door for me,” Cyrus tells Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen DeGeneres Show set to air March 31. “I was like, I have been in L.A. for three years and I don’t think any guy has actually opened the door for me.”

That polite gesture made quite the impression on the 17-year-old: “I was like, wow, that is super impressive. I actually turned to the director and said, ‘He’s got the job.’ He’s hot and he opened the door. Excellent.”

There were some early stumbling blocks, admitted Cyrus, who said she was taking a hiatus from dating when she met the Australian actor, 20.

“We started filming and at one point the chemistry was kind of awkward,” she said. “We were both like, I liked him a little bit, he liked me a little bit but it was awkward.”

But Cyrus finally informed Hemsworth: “Okay, you’re going to be my boyfriend,” and it’s been a smooth ride ever since – so much so that DeGeneres presented the happy couple with a set of bikes.

Taylor Swift Sees Two Boys in Two Days: Cory & Taylor

A flirty outing at a bowling alley followed by lunch with a handsome ex who happens to play a werewolf: Is Taylor Swift’s social life heating up?

On Tuesday, the Grammy award winner was having a ball during a group date, which included best bud Selena Gomez, at a Studio City bowling alley. One big reason? She was getting close to Glee star Cory Monteith, who had “great chemistry” with the country singer, an eyewitness tells People.

“While everyone in the group seemed to get along great and had fun, Taylor received a lot of attention from Cory,” the source says. “Several times while they chatted, Cory pulled Taylor close to him and gave her a big, loving hug. Taylor seemed to love the attention and was beaming.”

The two were first snapped together at Clive Davis’s pre-Grammys party in January, and it seems Monteith is still scoring points with Swift, 20. “Cory definitely seems to be Taylor’s type – tall, dark and handsome,” the source says.

Swift’s lunch date on Wednesday – former flame and Twilight hunk Taylor Lautner – certainly fits that description. Joined by Swift’s mom, the exes grabbed lunch at The Farm in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

“The two looked very excited to see each other and seemed to have a lot to catch up on,” an eyewitness tells People.

“Telephone” producer: Lady Gaga reminds me of Michael Jackson!

Songwriter and producer Rodney Jerkins is very happy with the reception that his Lady Gaga/Beyoncé collaboration “Telephone” is getting — and he recently shared some of the hit single’s behind-the-scenes secrets with In Touch.

The song was originally intended for Britney Spears.
Rodney: I started working together with Lady Gaga about two years ago, and we were actually just writing together for other artists. When we first started writing, we definitely had it in mind for Britney — then Gaga wanted to keep it for herself.

Beyonce wanted to keep her verse “street.”
Rodney: The Beyoncé collaboration idea happened after Gaga did “Video Phone” with Beyoncé. Gaga asked me, ‘What do you think about Beyoncé being a part of “Telephone”? And I’ve worked with Beyoncé on almost every one of her projects, so I was like, “Yeah, let’s do it!” I think that 20 years from now, we’ll look back and say that in the new-millennium era, Beyoncé was the premiere female artist. I think her working with other female artists [Beyoncé has also had duets with Shakira and Alicia Keys] shows that she’s not so egotistical that she’s not going to work with anybody. She looks at it as her lending her talent to them, and them lending her talent to her. When I got on the phone with Beyoncé, she was telling me she wanted her verses to have a hood, street element, and I actually was caught off-guard. I wondered, “How am I going to do that? How am I going to make a disco/techno record and create a hood, street anthem vibe for her verse?” But once I got to the studio, it just kind of came to me.

The song has a link to another diva duet.
Rodney: I think the most ironic thing about this situation is that when I created this track back in 2008, I purposefully used a harp sound in the beginning of the track that I also used on [Brandy/Monica No. 1 duet] “The Boy Is Mine” back in ’98. It’s kind of ironic that I used the same sound with Lady Gaga and Beyoncé and got the same type of results.

He was as surprised by the video as everyone else.
Rodney: When you create a song, you usually have your own visual interpretation of what it’s supposed be, but with most creative people, the videos never really match the concept of the song is about. I like the fact that Lady Gaga is very creative and serious when it comes to doing what she feels in her heart and wants to do. Beyoncé and Gaga both creatively pushed the buttons, they both went at it with a “no fear” attitude. There are a lot of jaw-dropping moments!

Gaga reminds him of another pop icon — and it’s not Madonna.
Rodney: We haven’t seen an artist like Gaga in a long time — we haven’t seen an artist that really has no fear. I remember Michael Jackson used to tell me he was crucified for doing “Thriller,” but he had to do what he felt was needed at that time. I’m just happy to be part of history. The “Telephone” video broke records from getting so many views so fast. I’ve always wanted to leave my stamp on music, and to be able to say that I worked with Michael Jackson [on "You Rock My World"] and now I’m working with Lady Gaga, who’ll probably go down in history as one of the best female entertainers of all time — it’s amazing!

Tyra Banks looks tired sans makeup

Tyra Banks was joined by a friend as she made her way to lunch in New York City, New York on March 25, 2010. The supermodel proved that she is a natural beauty by going sans makeup, but she certainly looked a bit tired without that extra polished look!
