Tom Cruise and Reese Witherspoon are in talks to sign on for cowboy movie ‘Paper Wings’.

The romantic tale would see Tom play a rodeo champion who falls in love with a new country singer, played by Reese.

The project has been on the cards for some time and was with New Line studios before it arrived at Sony Pictures.

No director has yet been found for the movie, but Will Smith’s Overbrook Entertainment is working on the production side of the project.

Tom’s career has been quiet following on from 2008 war movie ‘Valkyrie’, which was widely panned by critics. It would be the first time he played a cowboy.

Oscar winner Reese has also taken some time away from Hollywood. Although she voiced the part of Ginormica in animated movie ‘Monsters vs Aliens’ in 2009, her last big role was in comedy movie ‘Four Christmases’ in 2008.

Amy Winehouse wants a baby.

The ‘Rehab’ singer has reportedly been open about her plans to start a family with Blake Fielder-Civil – her ex-husband who she recently reconciled with – though her father Mitch Winehouse believes it is unlikely she will start a family in the near future.

Mitch told Pulse magazine: “She’s become so broody. She loves kids – especially all our little cousins. She’s been talking about having a baby and is now at the age where she wants to have a baby. But I can’t see her settling down with 15 children just yet.”

Amy, 26, has also been speaking about her love for Blake – who she has nicknamed ‘Sailor’ – admitting she finds it tough being apart from him at present.

Attacking critics of her reconciled relationship, she tweeted: “i love my husband Blake an it aint wrong! marry for life. miss kissing ya s-a-i-l-o-r (sic)”

Amy recently bought a house in Camden, north London to share with Blake and Mitch believes people would be surprised if they knew how down to earth and home loving his daughter is.

He said: “Amy’s Jewish background is full of hidden stories. No one knows that she speaks Yiddish. She has a very good grasp of the language. She also loves to make chicken soup as it helps to relax her. She loves Jewish food.”

Fashion-forward pop star Lady Gaga is following in the trendsetting footsteps of superstar Madonna – she’s reportedly in talks to design her own range of sunglasses.

The Material Girl announced plans to team up with Dolce & Gabbana for a specially-branded MDG collection of shades last week – and now GaGa is rumored to be doing the same with designer Linda Farrow, reports WWD.com.

The London-based label recently launched sunglasses created by singer Roisin Murphy.

Former American Idol contestant Sanjaya Malakar has been fined for speeding after he was pulled over in his car near Seattle, Washington.

Malakar was stopped by Washington State Patrol officers at around 2.30am on Tuesday after he was clocked racing down the highway at 110 miles-an-hour.

The 20 year old was cited and fined $411.

After months of speculation by the media, singers Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato are opening up about their feelings for each other.

“We’ve been best friends for the longest time and now we’re just kind of taking the next step and it’s been really fun. We’re having a great time,” Joe tells Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS FM radio show. “I guess we kind of figured that one day it would happen but we didn’t feel like it was the right time.”

Demi added, “Being best friends for a while, over time feelings grow, and for me, as much as I wanted to deny it, the feelings were always there.”

Demi will join the Jonas Brothers for “Camp Rock: The Final Jam” July 13 on Disney.
