Carrie Underwood is nervous she’ll make a performance fumble at this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

Said the singer, 26, who will sing the National Anthem, “My biggest fear is the words.

“Of course you know the words,” she continued to USA Today. “But if you’re going to mess up, that’d be the time, right?”

Underwood — who says she’ll be rooting for the Saints — also joked about her fave new song: “Pants on the Ground,” as performed by General Larry Platt on American Idol two weeks ago.

“As a songwriter I know we all aspire to write something that is catchy and has a message,” she said. “And I think the youth of America can learn a lot from Pants on the Ground. And they can pull their pants up… because it causes all kinds of back problems. I’ve seen the studies.”

Jenny McCarthy can’t wait to be a grandma after beau Jim Carrey’s daughter, Jane, gives birth in the next three weeks.

“I’m really excited,” McCarthy — who will host the 4th annual Saturday Night Spectacular in Miami this weekend — tells UsMagazine.com. “I think I’m gonna rock as a grandma.”

She says that Jane, who is Carrey’s daughter with his ex wife Melissa Womer, has been calling her for advice.

“She called me up saying, ‘Can I take Tylenol?’ We have an awesome relationship. I consider her my daughter,” McCarthy, 37, tells Us.

But McCarthy, who is mom to 7-year-old son, Evan, with her ex-husband John Asher, tells Us she’ll soon butt out of Jane’s life.

“Mother-in-laws can get annoying once you have a baby because they’re trying to tell you how to raise your baby, and I don’t like anyone telling me how to raise my baby,” she admits. “So I have to learn how to just stay out of it and keep my mouth shut and only give advice when needed. I think that’s what makes a cool grandma – to shut up!”

Just because she’ll soon be a grandma doesn’t mean her relationship with Carrey, 48, whom she’s been dating since 2005, is getting old.

“It’s just night and day comparison to my past relationships. I don’t think I’ve ever liked having sex with someone more than 2 years! It gets boring,” she says. “And you know it’s true love when you still get butterflies with you kiss him. I think just him being my soul mate is the key to everything.

Sour times for Snooki.

The self-described “guidette,” 21, was booed Friday morning at Philadelphia’s Wing Bowl, an annual eating contest.

As she stepped out in front of the sold-out crowd at the Wachovia Center, people began heckling the MTV Jersey Shore star (real name: Nicole Polizzi).

When her image appeared on a big screen, they began booing loudly, according to local newspaper reports.

Despite the harsh reaction, she kept on fist-pumping.

Later, while being interviewed by a local TV station, she was asked how she felt about the booing incident. She said, “It’s Philadelphia!” and gave the camera the middle finger.

After the event, Snooki Twittered that the city was “nuts” “Wingbowl Is insane!” she wrote. “Wish they had this in ny! Flyin to chi town tonight for manor! Wheww”

It was recently announced that Jersey Shore will be returning for a second season. Shooting is set to begin in an undisclosed location in a few weeks.

Reports have surfaced the cast will go from $200 to $10,000 an episode.

When it comes to being a dad, it’s no surprise Tom Brady plans to bond with his boys over football.

The New England Patriots quarterback — who welcomed 2-month-old son Benjamin with wife Gisele Bundchen — tells Extra that he is looking forward to the day he can play sports with his family off the NFL field.

“It’s a great thing to see them run around at the football game or at least one of them run around,” says Brady, referring to his eldest child, 2-year-old son John, with ex Bridget Moynahan.

He adds: “For a long time, I didn’t know when I was going to be a father, and now I have two boys.”

John, Benjamin and Gisele are all getting more face time with the proud papa, whose team isn’t competing in this Sunday’s Super Bowl.

“I like to spend time with my family and friends and get a little rest,” he tells Extra of his downtime. “Because, obviously, during the football season, there’s not a whole lot of that!”

Sure, Katie Couric may be dating a younger guy, but don’t go calling her a cougar.

“I just find it stupid, you know?” the CBS Evening News anchor, 53, says in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar when asked about the label. “I think it also surmises that the older woman is always the pursuer. That’s not necessarily true. I always say that maybe the older woman is the prey and someone else is the predator. It’s just silly.”

Even though NYC entrepreneur Brooks Perlin was 32 when he began dating Couric, she says the 17-year age is not a problem. “Except for, um, you know, he’s never been married and he doesn’t have children,” she says.

She says it’s hard being a single mother to daughters Ellie, 18, and Carrie, 14 (Couric’s husband, attorney and NBC News legal analyst Jay Monahan, died of colon cancer at age 42).

“There are times, quite frankly, when as a single mom, you feel very alone,” she tells the magazine. “Ellie was sick after Thanksgiving with a virus and strep. She had a 105 fever, and it was really terrifying. I was running around looking for a thermometer in my building at 11:30 at night, and I was getting a fan, and my doctor said, ‘You should put her in a tepid bath,’ and she was all bundled up, and her temperature wasn’t going down, and she was shaking because she was so cold.”

With her voice cracking, she continues, “In times like that, I just profoundly miss ….”

Kirstie Alley is ready to shed some light — and pounds — on her life in her new reality show, officially announced by A&E Friday morning.

Kirstie Alley’s Big Life premieres March 21 at 10 p.m. with back-to-back episodes, says the network in a statement.

Says Alley, “This show has been cathartic for me…shown me who I really am…again… and it’s really freaking funny.”

Alley’s fluctuating curves have been a hot topic. She famously dropped 75 pounds on Jenny Craig and flaunted her bathing suit body on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2006.

But late last year, she returned to Winfrey’s show to confess that she’d gained back 85 pounds, and weighed more than 200 pounds.

“It’s humiliating,” she told Winfrey. “The most painful thing for me is that I have all these people that I inspired and then I let them down.”

In addition to chronicling her weight loss battle on TV, the show will also feature her “producing a feature film, patenting multiple inventions, working hard to raise two normal Hollywood teenagers, True and Lillie [her adopted sons with ex Parker Stevenson], taking care of eight ringtail lemurs, and on top of everything, looking for love — nothing like a little pressure,” according to the release.

If she’s ever offered a hard-boiled courtroom drama, Kristen Stewart will have already done her research.

The Twilight star recently served on a Los Angeles jury where she helped decide a case involving prostitution and an undercover cop, TMZ.com reports.

Stewart, 19, was part of a 3-day trial in which a man was accused of paying an undercover cop for sex, but the defense argued that their client is not fluent in English and said that the language barrier caused a misunderstanding, according to the report.

In the end, the jury found the defendant not guilty.

But, according to E! Online, that wasn’t the end of the story. Stewart may have inadvertently caused trouble at the Los Angeles Superior Court after a security guard supposedly requested a photo with the actress. She obliged, and the guard reportedly allowed his friend’s wife to post the picture on the Internet. Now, the men’s jobs may be on the line.

“Right now my husband and the security guard are in trouble,” a person claiming to be the man’s wife posted online, after yanking down the photo, “for [the picture] having gone up … because it is confidential when celebrities are in court.”
