Trouble-prone teen Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out school — but that’s the least of his problems. The gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters seem to have walked out of the pages of Percy’s Greek mythology texts and into his life — and they’re not happy. Zeus’ lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now, Percy and his friends must embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true thief, save Percy’s family, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Last night I went to a screening of this movie with my two boys, who had both read the book. They were so excited, while I was thinking I was in for just another banal childrens movie. I was happy to find that I was wrong. I completely enjoyed this film!

I should have known I would love it, since I’m a huge fan of director Chris Columbus. He has worked on some pretty amazing movies, such as Gremlins, Goonies, Home Alone, Stepmom and two Harry Potter films (to name a few).

I thought Percy Jackson started off a bit slow and clumsy, but ended with a bang. The movie definitely got better as it went along. I was pleasantly surprised to see cameo’s by actors like Uma Thurman (as Medusa),  Steve Coogan (as Hades) and Rosario Dawson (as Persephone).

The special affects were great, and some scenes actually gave me chills.

I thought the story was good (although a little sketchy at times). There were definitely some scary scenes, which makes this movie unsuitable for children under 7 (in my opinion). There was also quite a few funny scenes in the movie – which made the movie move along really well, I think. I think this movie will do really well – it has all the pieces it needs to succeed.

BOTTOM LINE: If you’re looking for a good family film this weekend, I would really recommend this film! I thought it was a great movie, and I think I enjoyed it as much as my boys!

Sources tell E! exclusively that supermodels and reality-TV staples Heidi Klum and Paulina Porizkova have just signed deals today to guest star on the hit ABC series. A rep for ABC confirms this new to us.

So who are Heidi and Paulina playing?

According to sources, they’ll be playing themselves in an episode tentatively slated to air in March. And sorry, Desperate dudes, but it’ll be solely a female affair.

In the episode Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker), who is a former model, and Angie (Drea de Matteo) run into the Project Runway host and former America’s Next Top Model judge in New York City. The storyline will take place in NYC but the episode will be shot here in Los Angeles.

I’m told Heidi and Paulina’s deals just closed today, so the ink is still drying. This is arguably Desperate Housewives‘ splashiest/sexiest guest-star casting yet, though there have been some seriously fine actors to come through Wisteria Lane, including Alfre Woodard, Nathan Fillion, Neal McDonough, Dougray Scott and John Slattery.

In a shocking new interview with Steppin Out magazine, Hailey Glassman, 23, goes into graphic, alleged detail about having sex with the 32 year-old father of eight. “He was so small I didn’t think he would cheat on me,” Glassman claims.

“He’s hung like a nine-year-old boy,” she snipes. “I’m serious. This is true,” she adds, even claiming he measures up to “3 inches.”

The angry ex-girlfriend surmises that “anybody who sleeps with him will notice. It’s very noticeable. It’s so tiny, tiny, tiny that I would laugh about it with my mom.”

But Gosselin didn’t think it was very funny at all. “He said, ‘You know how subconscious [sic] I am of down there,’” Glassman recalls. She admits she wasn’t very sensitive about the topic. “I would tell him to his face, ‘I don’t think you would cheat on me because you’re so small.’ I would tell him that all the time.”

“Having sex with Jon was bittersweet,” she snipes.

Lady Gaga has broken her silence on the death of designer Alexander McQueen without saying a word. On Friday, the eccentric singer tweeted a photo of herself and McQueen in a loving embrace as a tribute to her friend, who was found dead a day ealier of an apparent suicide.

Gaga was McQueen’s muse, with the singer wearing dozens of his designs at events like the MTV Video Music Awards.

She even paid homage to the fashion icon in her catchy ‘Bad Romance’ video last year — strutting around in a pair of McQueen’s infamous lobster claw heels and runway designs.
