A representative for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has confirmed KE$HA’s claim to have vandalized the famous Hollywood sign was a hoax.

The pop star released an internet video last week which appeared to show her defacing the L.A. landmark with a group of friends, throwing spray-painted bedsheets across the large white letters to spell out ‘Ke$hawood’.

Ke$ha insisted the joke was real in a post on Twitter.com, stating, “HwOOD $IgN I$ oFFiciaLLY My bIZnatCH!(sic) Look at the sign LA!”

But a spokesperson for the LAPD tells Life & Style magazine, “If someone had seen the Hollywood sign (had been) vandalized, it would have been called in to the LAPD, but we never received a call.”

A Beyonce concert in Brazil ended in terror when gunmen opened fire on fans outside the venue.

The Crazy In Love hitmaker took her I Am… world tour to South America last week, kicking off the dates with a string of shows in Brazil.

But Beyonce’s final Brazilian concert in the city of Salvador on Wednesday night was marred by violence when youths outside the Parque de Exposicoes venue began shooting at fans leaving the arena, according to Britain’s Star Magazine.

Police reportedly returned fire but no one was injured during the incident.

Kim Cattrall would have been “fine” without ‘Sex and the City’.

The 53-year-old star – who won her role in the series about a group of four friends in New York at the age of 42 – claims that although the show turned her from a jobbing actress to a household name, she would have been happy without the success it has brought.

She said: “If it hadn’t come along I think I’d have been alright too. I’d have a really good, strong, journeyman actress career. That would have been fine.”

Kim – who plays Samantha Jones in the show and its spin-off movies – even said she didn’t take to the script when she first read it, saying she saw only a “miserable” woman and a group of people she “didn’t care” about.

Despite eventually signing on for the series, Kim admits she thought it was a “scary” thing to do.

She explained: “When you sign a contract to do a series, you’re effectively signing away six, possibly seven, years of your life based on 30 pages of dialogue. That’s a little scary.”

Eric Dane is “excited” about becoming a dad.

The ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ star has promised to go into the delivery room to look after partner Rebecca Gayheart when she goes into labor in approximately three weeks.

He said: “I’ll be in the room. I’m going to stay close to my wife and make sure that she’s alright. I’m really excited. I’m also very interested.”

Despite knowing they are expecting a girl, the Hollywood couple are holding off naming the baby until she arrives.

Eric admitted: “Rebecca wants to wait until she sees her before we give her a name.”

However, when they do name her, Eric has admitted they will not be giving their daughter an unusual name.

He said: “We went straight down the middle with this one.”

Recently Eric claimed he was particularly happy when they found out the gender of their baby, saying: “It just makes sense that I’m having a girl. I don’t know what it is, but I am excited it’s a girl.”

With a hit movie and an Oscar nomination for Precious under her belt, Gabourey Sidibe’s dreams are coming true. But there’s one thing she hasn’t gotten: Her dream date.

Sidibe had previously sent out a half-joking public plea to Justin Timberlake to be her escort at the Academy Awards on March 7.

“I want to make Justin Timberlake and [The Hurt Locker actor] Anthony Mackie fight it out for the honor of being my date,” Sidibe told the Canadian entertainment TV show eTalk. “I’m just going to throw them in the ring and make them do it!”

But apparently the throw-down didn’t happen. Instead, Sidibe will be accompanied by someone even more special to the actress. “I’m bringing my mom,” she told PEOPLE Thursday at Eve Ensler’s annual V-Day luncheon to raise awareness about violence against women.

With her date dilemma settled, Sidibe is now focusing on what to wear. “My stylist sent me sketches, but I haven’t looked at them yet,” she says. “I certainly won’t go for a daring dress. I don’t like to do more than one color, or stripes, or patterns. I’ll certainly pick something classic.”

Charlize Theron, Rosario Dawson and Jane Fonda also attended the event in L.A. Thursday, where Sidibe performed a reading from Ensler’s new book, I Am an Emotional Creature. But the busy nominee said she wasn’t nervous to be performing for the esteemed audience.

“I’m not necessarily nervous about them, but I’m nervous because I’m tired,” she confessed. “I haven’t taken a day off since Sundance 2009!”

Next up for Sibide after picking a gown for the Oscars is planning a vacation. “I want to go some place where there’s a beach,” she says, “and no one knows who I am!”

The 82nd Annual Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, March 7, and televised live on ABC beginning at 5 p.m. PT/ 8 p.m. ET.

Rumors that started from a report back in October that Josh Duhamel cheated on his wife Fergie with a stripper named Nicole Forrester has now been called out by Gossip Cop as untrue.

The publication claimed their investigation proves parts of the story and had Nicole on their side as proof.

But now the media outlet has followed up with a story that Nicole is pregnant with Josh’s baby.

Gossip Cop can confirm exclusively that when Nicole was asked by the National Enquirer if she was pregnant she told them she was not — multiple times.

Now Nicole is trying to set the record straight.

“Yesterday I was horrified to learn the National Enquirer ran a story saying I was pregnant,” she told Gossip Cop. “This is NOT true. I told the National Enquirer this was NOT true a week ago and again on Monday of this week. Apparently, because of mistakes I made in the past they feel I’m fair game and can print whatever lies they want just to sell magazines – I want this to stop now. Too many people have been hurt by the past, especially my children.”

“A couple of weeks ago I was hounded by a reporter at my job and home, then ambushed and bombarded with questions. I was scared and flustered and told him what I felt I needed to to get him to leave. I then called him from the safety of my home and told him I was NOT pregnant. A few days ago I learned they were publishing the story and I again called the reporter to tell him I was NOT pregnant and to publish a story was irresponsible and harmful. He told me he told his editor previously and would again call them.”

“I received many calls about this yesterday and I am tired of having to defend myself and repeatedly insist this story is NOT true. This has not only hurt me but other innocent parities, including my children, who have to deal with the bully tactics of other children – that is not fair.”
