A new portrait of the future king, Prince William, taken only last month, shows him with a good covering of dark hair.

It is all the more striking because it was taken just before his royal tour of Australia, where a gust of wind left onlookers in no doubt about his thinning crown.

The image is one of several appearing in Hello! this week after they were sold to the celebrity magazine for an undisclosed sum in aid of charity.

But while some make it look as if William has dyed his hair, it appears the change of colour may be down to either lighting or computer trickery because in other pictures his familiar dark blond locks are on display.

The cover picture, showing the 27-year-old prince with his hands in the pockets of his jeans, smiling cheekily at the camera, was taken by a former drug addict and rough sleeper and is the first official royal portrait to be taken by a non-professional.

Jeff Hubbard, 53, was eventually helped by Crisis, the national charity for single homeless people, and now has his own flat in East London.

The charity persuaded William to let himself be photographed by Mr Hubbard. A double portrait signed by both men will be displayed at Somerset House in London from March 10 as part of the exhibition A Positive View before being auctioned for the charity.

Although the money from the sale of the photos to Hello! will go to Crisis, there will be concern that William is allowing his ‘image rights’ to be used for commercial advantage.

Members of the Royal Family have been repeatedly criticised for offering tame interviews or pictures of private events for commercial gain to Hello!.

The Queen’s grandson Peter Phillips was lambasted for selling the photographic rights to his 2008 wedding for a reported £500,000. The Duchess of York has also featured in lucrative spreads, as has Princess Michael of Kent and the Countess of Wessex.

Megan Fox has attacked her colleagues in a tell-all interview in W magazine, reported entertainment media on Wednesday.

When asked about trust in the film industry, Fox said: ‘I don’t trust people in this industry, but I especially don’t trust girls in this industry, because it’s incredibly competitive, and I’m just not interested.’

The actress’ next film will be the thriller Passion Play, which also stars Mickey Rourke, Bill Murray and Rhys Ifans.

After slamming her fellow actesses, Fox went on to say that despite her on-again, off-again relationship with Brian Austin Green, she is interested in becoming a mother.

‘I’m really maternal… I worry that because I’ve always wanted (kids) so much, as the world goes sometimes, I won’t be able to have them, even though I would be able to provide them with such an amazing environment,’ Fox told the magazine.

Fox was also asked about modelling lingerie: ‘There are some women you could put in underwear and photograph them, and it looks really classy and it doesn’t necessarily provoke a pinup image,’ said Fox. ‘But with me it does, immediately, as soon as I’m in underwear. I’m a Vargas girl,’ she said referring to Alberto Vargas, a famous Peruvian painter of pin-up girls.

Contrary to the circulating rumor, Blake Lively won’t be shedding her clothes for Playboy magazine. A representative for the Serena van der Woodsen of “Gossip Girl” star has thrown cold water to the so-called “100% fabricated” story. As quoted by Gossip Cop, the rep stated, “Nothing about that is true. There’s not one ounce of truth to it.”

In the denial, Lively’ representative unraveled that National Enquirer, the tabloid running the baring all story in the first place, knew it was a false one but chose to publish it anyway. The rep furthermore insisted that the 22-year-old’s cover shot for the February issue of Esquire magazine “is the sexiest you are going to see her.”

The tabloid publication noted the TV star herself has been considering to pose naked after making “The Private Lives of Pippa Lee”, adding it is part of her plan to break away from her “Gossip Girl” image. The source said, “The show has been a hit with teens, but she says she doesn’t want to get lumped in with the Jonas Brothers! Posing nude would certainly distance her from her tween fans and put her in the adult world.”

The Enquirer went on to report that her family has been at odds on whether or not the leading lady of “Green Lantern” should do the photo shoot. “Blake’s mom has been in the business a long time, and she knows Kim Basinger and other actresses really benefited from posing for ‘Playboy’ early in their careers,” the source claimed. “But her dad Ernie is old-school. He says, ‘Over my dead body!’ ”

Bruised and beaten, arm in a sling, neck in a brace, Arthur Poppington (Woody Harrelson) sits in front of court-appointed psychologist Ellen Park (Sandra Oh).
