Simon Monjack tells UsMagazine.com it wasn’t easy for him to read his late wife Brittany Murphy’s final autopsy report, which was released Thursday. He says he and the actress’ mother Sharon “both sobbed and sobbed. I haven’t gotten out of bed yet. I pulled the report away from Sharon because I thought I was going to have to sedate her.”
Despite the anguish, he tells Us he found “solace” in the report because it reaffirmed what he had been insisting all along – that his wife never abused illegal drugs. (The report stated that she had “elevated levels” of Vicodin and drugs from over-the-counter cold medicine in her system.) “She never did anything that she was accused of!” he tells Us. “We never hid anything. And that’s been the case with everything in our marriage. Maybe with her death, people will start to realize – yes, we had a lot of prescriptions around, but if you look at some of them, they date from 2001!”
As for doctor’s reports that Murphy’s death could have been prevented, Monjack tells Us, “Any death could be prevented. It’s a tragedy.” Monjack says he had no idea that his wife was suffering from pneumonia which, exacerbated by multiple drug intoxication, caused her to die Dec. 20 at age 32. “Like all deaths, I go over and over and over it,” he says. “She was dead within two hours of waking up, saying ‘My chest is tight. I can’t take a breath!’ But that was part of her normal menstrual cycle. It was the perfect storm.”
He tells Us he wishes people would leave him alone and “stop coming out with these ridiculous stories” about their marriage. “Our marriage was dogged by these ridiculous rumors. Brittany’s life was dogged by ridiculous rumors, and the truth always wins out,” Monjack tells Us. “I hope people have the sense to really understand that everything was beautiful and wonderful in our relationship and so pure.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson has been married 15 years, but her husband Donn was the last thing on her mind when she kissed a 25-year-old college student while partying in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, last month.
“Vicki was extremely outgoing and having a great time, like a sorority girl,” University of Manitoba student Mike Pullin tells Star about his wild night with Vicki. “We clicked immediately and danced to rock ‘n’ roll by Bon Jovi and Journey. She was living it up. She kept talking to me. She was a big flirt.”
When Mike bought a round of tequila shots for their group, Vicki gave him a very special thank you — a big kiss on the lips! As the two continued to drink they grew closer — and so did their lips. Before long, they were full-on making out!

Debra Danielson — the mother of 18-year-old “Teen Mom” Farrah Abraham — struck a plea deal after she was accused of choking her daughter … and as part of the deal, she wants her knives back.
Danielson agreed to a deferred prosecution at Pottawattamie County court in Iowa today — meaning if she has no other legal issues and complies with her probation, the case will be dropped.
She also pled guilty to a lesser charge and got a suspended sentence of 30 days in jail. As part of the plea deal, the prosecution had to return two kitchen knives that were seized as evidence.
Danielson was arrested last month after she allegedly choked her daughter Farrah, who appeared on the MTV show “Teen Mom.”
