Anne Hathaway and her boyfriend Adam Shulman spent the morning furniture hunting for their love nest in West Hollywood, California on February 3, 2010. Anne was not thrilled to see the shutterbugs and shared her feeling with a simple hand gesture while waiting in a store for Adam who has an unknown injury to his arm.

No, I am sorry to disagree with you. She doesn’t belong to the public. She may have a career that is paid for by the public, but she has a right to have some privacy and not have cameras follow her all the time. I assume you have a job, Gigi. Does your boss “own” you when you are not at work?

Or…could it be that the cameraman actually deserves the finger or worse? We’ve all seen video footage of a paparrazzi feeding frenzy. They are aggressive, rude, persistent and will say anything to provoke a reaction. This could be her reaction.
She is not giving the finger to the public. She is giving it to one person….who happens to have a camera.
