Lindsay Lohan’s Shocking Confession‏

FP_IMAGE_4307444/FP_SET_4306845

In the wake of the shocking deaths of actress Brittany Murphy and heiress Casey Johnson, many are concerned that Lindsay Lohan may be next on the celebrity deathwatch list — and will suffer the same tragic fate if she doesn’t get help immediately. Lindsay, 23, seems to be aware of her destructive behavior. Around New Year’s, she tweeted, “2010 is about moving forward, not backward. Leaving the bad people, habits and negative energy behind — time to make changes — right!?!?” And in recorded phone calls in 2009 to her father, Michael Lohan — which were obtained exclusively by In Touch — Lindsay admits that her partying was once so out of control, she nearly died. “In Miami, Mommy threw me in the cab, and I stopped breathing for 10 seconds,” she reveals in one call to her dad. “They read me my last rites.”

Lindsay’s friends are not the least bit surprised to hear that she put her health at risk. “She used to stay up all night doing drugs and drinking vodka with a bunch of downers,” a pal tells In Touch. “She would start off with one or two pills, and would take more until she calmed down.” Her family is of little help, too. While Lindsay has criticized Michael for making passionate public pleas for her to seek treatment, her mother, Dina, rarely acknowledges Lindsay’s problems. Lindsay has always maintained that her relationship with Dina is rosy, but in one of the recorded phone calls, she reveals that she’s bitter that her mom is more interested in reaping the benefits of her fame rather than caring about her. “I hate her,” Lindsay seethes. With her real friends MIA, her father estranged and her mother seemingly unwilling to accept Lindsay’s issues, the insider says, “It leaves her without anyone who really cares for her in her life.” And that could end up being a recipe for disaster.

Jennifer Lopez on the cover of Elle Magazine

elle_jlo_cover

ELLE’s February cover girl on motherhood, heartbreak, and the future of her caree.

On why she never considered in vitro fertilization, like her character in The Back-Up Plan:

“When it comes to family and relationships, I’m quite traditional. Just because of the way I was raised. And I also believe in God and I have a lot of faith in that, so I just felt like you don’t mess with things like that. And I guess deep down I really felt like either this is not going to happen for me or it is. You know what I mean? And if it is, it will. And if it’s not, it’s not going to.”

On the merit of her romantic comedies:

“I think Maid in Manhattan and Monster-in-Law are very layered movies. And that’s why they’re so successful. People don’t like shitty romantic comedies. Nothing that’s shitty is going to make $100 million.”

On hosting a dinner for Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor:

“She didn’t realize what she was going to symbolize. And it’s always scary to be thrown into it–that’s what I felt like when I did Selena. You’re thrown out there, and all of a sudden you’re not anonymous. You are now known. And that’s a lot to handle. It’s scary at first. Then you get used to it. And so she was in that moment of her life where it’s just like, What the hell? Everybody’s clapping for me. People are writing about me, talking about me, I’m on TV. She was just a judge in New York.”

On competing with twenty-something pop idols as a 40-year-old mom:

“This is what I do—what, because I have kids and a husband now I’m not supposed to be me? I’m a more heightened me if anything. Hyper J.Lo. Everything I wanted before, I want twice as much now. And that doesn’t mean material things; it means to explore more, to think more. Being an artist doesn’t start because you’re 21, and it doesn’t end because you’re 51. You are who you are until the day you die.”

Tiger Woods Has Been Staying With NY Billionaire‏

ny_usweekly_cover

As speculation continues to grow on Tiger Woods‘ whereabouts, the new issue of Us Weekly reports that the golfer, 34, has been staying with his billionaire pal Jim Dolan, the controversy-prone CEO of Cablevision and owner of Madison Square Garden and the New York Knicks.

“Jim reached out to Tiger,” one knowledgeable source tells Us Weekly adding that Dolan invited Woods to hide out at his $13.5 million fortress-like waterfront estate — the main house of which is a 10,000-square-foot colonial mansion — on New York’s Long Island a week after his sex scandal broke.

“Tiger’s been seeing a shrink who goes to Dolan’s house,” says the source.

Though an MSG spokesperson denies Tiger is at Dolan’s home, telling Us, “It is categorically false and preposterous on its face,” father of five Dolan, who has talked about conquering his drug and alcohol addictions after a rehab stint in 1993, has a history of helping troubled athletes, including basketball player Vin Baker, who battled alcoholism.

The source adds that Dolan has even opened up his fleet of jets to the golfer, whose own plane ferried Woods’ wife Elin from Switzerland back home to Windermere, Fla., Jan. 1.

“He’s the one keeping him under the radar,” says the source. “Jet-setting everywhere. I know Tiger’s flown on Jim’s jet from Florida probably three times.”

The source adds that Nike, one of the few Tiger sponsors that hasn’t dropped him as a spokesman, let him use their jet for at least one trip. (Nike did not return calls for comment.)

Jennifer Lopez believes she’s Oscar worthy.

nyf diane von furstenberg 080908

Jennifer Lopez has lashed out at Oscar voters for not nominating her for her role in El Cantante.

Did anyone even see this movie?

The singer/actress felt let down when her name wasn’t among the hopefuls for the 2008 Academy Awards – and can only imagine the experts didn’t get around to seeing her turn as salsa star Hector Lavoe’s wife Puchi.
She tells the upcoming issue of Latina magazine, “I feel like I had that (Oscar role) in El Cantante, but I don’t even think the Academy members saw it. I feel like it’s their responsibility to do that, to see everything that’s out there, everything that could be great.”

Lopez admits she would have loved to have accepted her first Oscar from a hospital bed after just giving birth to her twins Max and Emme.

She adds, “I had just given birth on the 22nd (February), and the Oscars, I think, were a day or two later. I was sitting there with my twins (and) I couldn’t have been happier, but I was like, ‘How dope would it have been if I would’ve won the Oscar and been here in my hospital bed accepting the award?’ – ‘Thank you so much! I just want to thank the Academy!’”

And she still has her sights on an Oscar: “Things will happen when they’re supposed to happen. I have the utmost faith and no doubt that it will (happen) one day.”
