Joe Jonas has made amends with ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift, confessing the couple “recently reconnected” – more than a year after she publicly chastised him for dumping her over the phone.
The Jonas Brothers singer dated Swift for several months in 2008 but their break-up was far from amicable – the country sensation went on national TV in November that year and blasted Jonas for the 27-second chat, which ended their relationship.
Swift even used the heartbreak as inspiration for her song Forever & Always.
But Jonas insists the former couple is back on friendly terms – and he’s rooting for Swift to claim gold at Sunday’s Grammy Awards.
He tells E! News, “We’ve actually recently reconnected, which is good. I hope she gets a Grammy. She deserves it.”
Swift is nominated for eight awards. The star will also perform at the Los Angeles event.

50 Cent has put his flashy jewelry away for safe keeping – because he no longer needs to remind people how rich he is.
The In Da Club rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, is known for his elaborate jewels and is rarely seen without his gold and diamond-encrusted necklaces, earrings and rings.
But he surprised TV audiences on Tuesday night when he appeared on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson minus his bling.
Explaining his new look, 50 Cent said, “I was trying to send a signal with the jewelry and now I don’t need that.”

Taylor Swift has shattered Britney Spears’ first-week download record after fans raced to get hold of her new single Today Was A Fairytale.
The country music sensation now holds the record for the best download debut by a female artist after the new song was picked up 325,000 times in the past week – 39,000 more than Spears’ Womanizer in 2008.
Billboard chart compilers at Nielsen SoundScan have confirmed the tune from the singer’s new film Valentine’s Day will be Swift’s first number one on the Digital Songs countdown; it will also debut at two on the Billboard Hot 100. Both charts will officially be released on Thursday.
Ke$ha’s TiK ToK is the only song that stands in the way of a Swift number one debut. The dance track will claim a sixth successive week at the top.
The record for the biggest opening week belongs to the Black Eyed Peas, who debuted Boom Boom Pow in April 2009 with 465,000 downloads.
The track went on to spend 12 weeks at the top of the pop charts.
It has also been a good week for downloaded tracks performed at George Clooney’s Hope For Haiti Now telethon on Friday night – Billboard.com reports 334,000 downloads have been registered in less than two days of availability.
Jay-Z, Bono, The Edge and Rihanna’s Stranded (Haiti Mon Amour) was the event’s biggest hit with 131,000, while Justin Timberlake and Matt Morris’ cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah comes in second.

Jon Voight has branded rumors of an impending split between daughter Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt as “nonsense”.
The Oscar-winning actor – who has a notoriously difficult relationship with Angelina – insists the couple are staying together and there is no truth in the recent claims suggesting otherwise.
When asked about the break-up rumors, Jon replied: “Nonsense. It’s all made up stuff.”
At the weekend, it was claimed Brad and Angelina – who raise six children together – were set to separate after signing legal papers which equally split their $330 million fortune and custody of the kids.
However, sources say that while the couple – who have been dating for five years – did sign the papers, they only did so as a precaution.
One source told Life and Style magazine: “Brad and Angelina had a meeting with a top law firm in Los Angeles in December, where they worked out terms of a legal document similar to a pre-nup. The couple signed the document in early January. They agreed to share their money and assets and custody of their six children, all of whom would live with Angelina in the event of their parents’ break-up.”
But those close to the couple are adamant they have no intention of separating.

Melanie Brown can’t wait to see the story of her life with the Spice Girls turned into a major musical.
Music mogul Simon Fuller, who managed the band, has confirmed reports he’s developing a London stage musical based on the story behind the all-conquering girl group, comprising of Brown, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm.
He’s developing the Viva Forever! spectacular with Mamma Mia! producer Judy Craymer – and Brown hopes she won’t have to wait too long before the show hits the West End stage.
She explains, “All five of us (girls) are so excited about it, we really are. We’re in the early creative development stages just now, so I can’t really tell you much. We’ve actually teamed up with Judy Craymer, who did Mamma Mia! She’s great. And it was Simon Fuller’s idea, so he’s also a genius.”
No date has yet been set for the launch of the production, but Brown is hopeful they can put it in motion quickly: “I’d love if it was in three months to be honest.”
