Tila Tequila is defending herself on the Internet, fighting off claims she ignored warning signs in the days leading up to Casey Johnson’s death

“I was the ONLY one who was constantly checking on my Wifey cuz I knew something was wrong,” she wrote on Twitter on Thursday. “I was out of town 2 meet my Brother. I have all the text messages to prove it!”

Since Johnson was found dead on Monday, people close to her have criticized the MTV star, claiming she was a bad influence and exploited Johnson – before and after her death – for attention.

But on her official blog, Tequila says Johnson actually planned “to start a new life with me.”

“Casey cut out a lot of ‘bad’ people from her past to be with me cuz I was a good influence on her,” Tequila insists. “We were so in love.”

Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood are engaged, a source confirms to People.

The shock-rocker reportedly proposed to the True Blood actress while he was performing on stage in Paris on Monday, according to reports. Rumors have been swirling for days about the famously on-again, off-again couple’s engagement.

Reps for both Manson and Wood have remained mum on the subject.

Manson, 41, began dating Wood, 22, in 2006 but the couple broke up in 2008. They briefly reconciled, then split again before getting back together.

Last year, Manson revealed that he was so devastated over his breakup with Wood that he obsessed about the actress and called her incessantly. After they worked things out, Manson was quoted by the Herald Sun as saying that Wood has helped him be a better person.

“Me being me at my best is what I need to be,” he said at the time. “That really paid off because I’m back with Evan.”

Wood, for her part, described Mason to Elle magazine in 2007 as a “lovely, really human and just amazing. It may surprise you just how healthy and loving our relationship is.”

Manson was previously married to burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese.

Once again, Britney Spears‘ love life is a circus. The pop star spent the holidays sans boyfriend Jason Trawick, checking into L.A.’s Mondrian hotel on Dec. 28 with her mom, Lynne, to clear her head…and change her locks. “Their relationship is in big trouble,” a source close to the couple tells OK!. “This is the first stable romance she’s had in years and it looks like it’s over.”

Friends saw this coming — especially since Britney, 28, is not happy with the fact that on Dec. 23, an L.A. judge continued to grant her dad, Jamie, conservatorship over her.

“Jason’s original role was to help Britney get her life back together. Because that dynamic was in place from the beginning, he was controlling her a bit, giving her the guidance she needed. But she’s over it. She straightened up and is fed up with Jason telling her what to do.”

FAMILY FEUDS

Spears family insiders also blame Britney’s problems on the tension between her parents. Divorced since 2002, Lynne and Jamie still have their issues.

“The fighting has taken its toll on Britney,” says a source. “She’s begging Lynne to move on. Over the holidays, she put her foot down when she heard Jamie yelling at Lynne on the phone”

Jason, however, has sided with Jamie. The source adds, “Britney and Jason had a huge blowup before New Year’s because Jason defended Jamie. She couldn’t believe he would think Jamie had a leg to stand on.”

THEIR JEALOUS STREAKS

Another cause for the couple’s conflicts: Jason, 38, was jealous of Britney’s bodyguard Edan Yemini. Confirms an eyewitness, “[Edan's] been with her for more than a year accompanying her to every city and country. We think he’s in love with her.”

And Jason does not like the competition, says another source. “Jason — in business as well as in his personal affairs — wants not one cutting in on his dance.”

Britney has a jealous side as well.

“She checked Jason’s BlackBerry and would give him hell if he contacted a female. One of the last straws was when she called one of the women and it was a business contact. Jason was so embarrassed and had to apologize.”

Not surprisingly, Jason suggested that they “take a break” and has told friends they have agreed to see other people. Nonetheless, they have left the door open to rekindle their relationship, and friends are hopeful.

“They’ll get it worked out because they really do love each other,” says a pal, “but it’s going to take time.”

BEHIND HER DARK ‘DO

On Dec. 28, she checked into L.A.’s Mondrian hotel a blond but emerged with jet black locks hours later.

“When Britney changes her hair,” says a friend, “it is very telling.”

In fact, it seems every time Brit has a crisis, her hair undergoes an extreme makeover (recall the post K-Fed head shave in 2007?).

NYC psychologist therapist Rachel Blakeman (who has not treated Britney) says a woman often changes her hair “to control something when other things are out of control. It can also be an imagined life-changing event, as though she is a new person as a result of the new color.”

Tiger Woods’ 15th woman — Sandra Bullock?

George Lopez presented the Favorite Movie Actress award at Wednesday night’s People’s Choice Awards, saying, “I have the honor of naming the five white women in America that Tiger Woods has not slept with.”

After naming Bullock, 45, the winner, she took the stage and joked, “It’s only four women up here who have not slept with Tiger Woods.”

“Just kidding. I’m so just kidding,” she continued while making a funny face.

Bullock — whose movie, The Proposal, also won Best Comedy Film — also joked about wearing the same side-parted hairstyle as Nicole Kidman.

“I’d just like to say Nicole and I deliberately did our hair the same today,” she quipped as cameras flashed to Kidman, who placed her hands over her face.

Bullock then turned serious, fighting back tears.

“Life is hard sometimes, but we get through with laughter,” she said. “To my Dad — I hope you’re feeling better. And my husband, who is my boyfriend, who makes me feel like this every single day. He allows me to leave the house and he keeps things settled until I get back so I get to do what I get to do.”

Stephanie Pratt reached a plea deal with Los Angeles prosecutors in her DUI case Thursday.

The Hills star, 23, was sentenced to three years informal probation, completion of a 12-week alcohol education program, as well as three Alcoholics Anonymous meetings a week for eight weeks, and will pay a fine.

DUI charges were dropped in exchange for a no contest plea to one count of misdemeanor “exhibition of speed.”

On the issue of whether she attended rehab, “Ms. Pratt voluntarily sought help from a doctor regarding substance issues but the doctor recommended that she didn’t need rehab,” Pratt’s lawyer Jon Bryant Artz tells People.

Following her Oct. 18 arrest, in which she was pulled over after attending Holly Montag’s birthday party, Pratt said the incident “was the worst thing to happen to me and, at the same time, it was the biggest blessing” as a life lesson.

Another possible delay in a hearing between Brooke Mueller and Charlie Sheen’s lawyers is proving to be quite frustrating.

“Brooke and Charlie are not allowed to have any contact with each other at this point,” Mueller’s lawyer Yale Galanter, tells People. “Brooke wants to get back with Charlie so we are anxious to meet in court.

As of now, the new court date is 9 a.m. Jan. 20, but we are hoping that will change and be this coming Monday.”

Galanter filed a motion in the Aspen court last week to modify the protective order put into place after Sheen’s domestic violence arrest on Christmas day so his client and her husband can meet and attempt to resolve their differences.

“The judge is this case is involved in a jury trial,” Galanter tells People. “We are hoping it concludes early, and if so, we could be in front of the judge on Monday.”

Whew! After experiencing what doctors are calling a seizure, former child-actor Gary Coleman was released from the hospital last night in L.A.

TMZ reported his release, saying he is doing fine.

Gary was taken to the hospital yesterday after one of the people with him says he suffered what looked to be a seizure and was unresponsive. He was staying in a hotel in L.A. while promoting a new movie he’s in.

TMZ reports that the seizure may have been connected to the dialysis treatments Gary is undergoing — he’s had two kidney transplants.
