Drew Barrymore rambled on stage when she won a Golden Globe for her work in the HBO mini-series Grey Gardens.

Backstage, she was asked how her character would Edie celebrate? I’ll dance around tonight by myself and freak out,” reports USA TODAY’s Donna Freydkin.

How did she prepare for the Globes? “The thing I didn’t do getting ready was prepare a speech.”

She added, “I thought I was going to pass out on stage.” Her support system? “I have a great date. Thank you, Justin (Long).”

In one of the funniest moments of the night….

Big Love’s Chloe Sevigny won a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series. As she walked on stage to accept her award, a stage escort accidentally stepped on the train of her rose sleeveless Valentino gown with ruffles — and it ripped.

She shrieked.

“I can’t believe you just ripped my dress!” she said as she tried to compose her speech.

Seemed like she was having fashion issues all night.

She complained on NBC’s pre-show that the red carpet needed a “tarp” because her dress was getting wet from the rain.
