Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning star in this music-fueled story of the ground-breaking, all girl, teenage rock band of the 1970s: The Runaways. The film follows two friends, Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, as they rise from rebellious Southern California kids to rock stars of the now legendary group that paved the way for future generations of girl bands. Joan and Cherie fall under the Svengali-like influence of rock impresario Kim Fowley, played by Michael Shannon, who turns the group into an outrageous success and a family of misfits. With its tough-chick image and raw talent, the band quickly earns a name for itself—and so do its two leads: Joan is the band’s pure rock’ n’ roll heart, while Cherie, with her Bowie-Bardot looks, is the sex kitten. Written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, the film chronicles Joan and Cherie’s tumultuous relationship on and off stage, as the band starts to break out.
Lots more pictures from the film after the cut! (more…)
NASTY!!! Donatella Versace applies tanning oil to her already very tanned chest while relaxing on the beach in St. Barts. Her skin looks like something out of a horror movie!
Heidi Montag – you paying attention? This could be you in 40 years!
These pictures are so disturbing! If for some reason you want to see the picture below without the star thingy click here, though I can’t imagine why you’d want to see.
Over the weekend, the singer, 23, stepped out in a purple body suit following her final performance at NYC’s Radio City Music Hall. She accessorized with a pair of black boots and circular shades.
Jon Gosselin and new girlfriend Morgan Christie have been parading around the Sundance Film Festival, raiding the gift lounges and not exactly being shy about their blossoming new relaysh.
Jon has already met Morgan’s parents—in fact, he’s been crashing with them at their Park City pad while hitting the hospitality suites. And clearly something must be going well because we hear Gosselin is ready to trade in his bachelor pad in New York City for a place in the Sun(dance)…
The once star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 was overheard at the Premium Lifestyle Group’s gifting suite at the Sky Lodge yesterday telling vendors: “Park City is my home now.”
Apparently Jon was telling one of the guys working there that he was leaving his NYC home to make the move out to Utah.
And don’t think the chatterbox stopped there. Jon was overheard again at the Lia Sophia Gift Lounge at The Lift that he had already purchased a home in Park City to live in “for a while.”
Kristen Stewart shares a whole new side of herself in the indie flick Welcome to the Rileys: her backside.
The Twilight Saga star, 19, plays a 16 year-old runaway stripper and occasional prostitute in the movie, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah on Saturday. In her first scene, she dances on a stripper pole wearing platforms, fishnets, a micro-mini skirt and a bra, and eventually offers a lapdance to costar James Gandolfini. In several later scenes, audiences catch a glimpse of Stewart’s bare rear end. Her raunchy character swears like a sailor and stashes cash in her underpants.
On the red carpet Saturday, Stewart admitted to reporters that she was a bit freaked out “the first time I put on all the fishnets…I really tried to own it though.” She shot the indie weeks before Twilight’s blockbuster release in fall 2008. “I was able to walk around the streets,” she explained. “I was literally walking down the street in cut-off shorts and a robe that was cinched. I looked like a crackhead!”
“My character’s not sultry, not sexy,” Stewart clarified. “She sort of throws herself into all her moves. I tore myself up doing it.”
And her first time up on the stripper pole — she trained with a stripper for two weeks — was a little traumatic. “I wanted to do it in my clothes,” she explained on the red carpet. Her stripper trainer ‘was like, ‘No, you don’t stick to the poll when you do that.’”
Tim Tebow has remained mostly underground since playing his last game as a Florida Gator on Jan. 1, but he still generated plenty of headlines when word leaked that he and his mother, Pam, filmed a pro-life commercial with Focus on the Family that will likely air during the Super Bowl in two weeks.
Tebow will certainly rub pro-choice advocates the wrong way with his message, but Tebow said Sunday at his pre-Senior Bowl press conference that he doesn’t mind standing up for his beliefs.
“I know some people won’t agree with it, but I think they can at least respect that I stand up for what I believe, and I’m never shy about that,” Tebow said. “I don’t feel like I’m very preachy about it, but I do stand up for what I believe. Unfortunately in today’s society not many athletes tend to do that. So I’m just standing for something.”
Pam Tebow contracted amoebic dysentery during her pregnancy with Tim in the Philippines in 1987. Doctors advised her to abort the pregnancy, but she refused and eventually gave birth to a healthy boy.
“I’ve always been every convicted of it (being anti-abortion), because that’s the reason I’m here, because my mom was a very courageous woman,” Tebow said. “So any way that I could help, I would do it.”
