Brooke Mueller’s attorney denies rehab reports

An attorney for Charlie Sheen’s sick wife Brooke Mueller has clarified reports she has checked into a drug rehabilitation center in North Carolina, insisting the recovery retreat is also designed for people with serious illnesses.
Mueller was admitted to hospital last week suffering from pneumonia in both lungs, linked to a recent operation to remove her wisdom teeth.
She was transferred to an intensive care unit, where she was being treated with antibiotics. She was discharged from a Los Angeles hospital on Monday and new reports suggest the 32-year-old has checked into rehab to deal with her personal demons.
But Mueller’s attorney Yale Galanter insists her client has checked into Two Dreams, a treatment center specializing in drug and alcohol addiction, to recover from her illness and not to seek help for substance abuse.
A protective court order preventing Mueller and Sheen from contacting one another is still in effect, following an alleged domestic incident on Christmas Day, which landed the actor in jail in Aspen, Colorado.
The couple reunited briefly when Sheen was given the all-clear to visit his wife in the hospital after a judge relaxed the protection order.
According to Galanter, Mueller is expected to remain at the facility for about a week. Meanwhile, Sheen is taking care of the couple’s two kids at the family home in Los Angeles.
Mueller has been arrested twice previously, for an outstanding warrant for cocaine possession and for driving under the influence.
A hearing to review the pair’s protection order was postponed until February 8th after Mueller fell ill.
