Jennifer Carpenter is treasuring her time with husband and ââ¬ÅDexterââ¬Â co-star Michael C. Hall ââ¬â especially in light of the news that the actor has been undergoing treatment for Hodgkinââ¬â¢s Lymphoma.
ââ¬ÅHeââ¬â¢s great,ââ¬Â Jennifer told AccessHollywood.comââ¬â¢s Laura ââ¬ÅDish of Saltââ¬Â Saltman at Accessââ¬â¢ 4th Annual ââ¬ÅStuff You Mustââ¬Â Golden Globes gift lounge at the Sofitel Hotel in LA. ââ¬ÅVery lucky [he] caught it early ââ¬â itââ¬â¢s 98 percent curable, so itââ¬â¢s basically choosing the treatment and sticking with it.ââ¬Â
Now, she said the star is on the road to a full recovery.
ââ¬ÅAfter two rounds of treatment, he was in complete remission. Heââ¬â¢s just finishing up to make sure it stays that way,ââ¬Â Jennifer said. ââ¬ÅHe wanted to let everybody know and heââ¬â¢s been receiving so much support and good thoughts. Thatââ¬â¢s been the kick that he needed to just finish it up.ââ¬Â
And she added that the illness has brought the couple ââ¬â who play brother and sister on the hit Showtime series ââ¬â closer together.
ââ¬ÅItââ¬â¢s always felt like an opportunity to get closer and Iââ¬â¢m just so impressed with him and anyone whoââ¬â¢s had to go through it,ââ¬Â she said, becoming visibly emotional. ââ¬ÅEvery secondââ¬â¢s special with him, it sounds corny but itââ¬â¢s true. Iââ¬â¢m very lucky.ââ¬Â
