Russell Brand has fueled reports he’s ready to settle down with girlfriend Katy Perry after splashing out $3.52 million on a new Los Angeles lovenest.

The Forgetting Sarah Marshall star is alleged to have proposed to Perry last week after spending the run-up to the Christmas holiday together in his native Britain.

The couple spent Christmas Day oceans apart as the singer jetted back home to L.A. to celebrate the festive season with her family, while Brand remained in London.

But the funnyman appears to be making moves to relocate to California permanently – he’s placed his home in north London on the market for $4 million and purchased a 1920s-style house on the West Coast.

The lavish four-story home boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a powder room and an outdoor swimming pool.

Scarlett Johansson is hoping to ring in 2010 on the couch at home – because she’s “so over” partying on New Year’s Eve.

The Lost in Translation actress refuses to spend the last night of the year at a loud party, and plans to celebrate by sharing a pizza and a kiss at midnight with her actor husband Ryan Reynolds.

She tells OK! magazine, “We’re both working on New Year’s Day anyway. So, we won’t do much. You know, pizza would be nice, a little champagne. Maybe watch the Twilight Zone marathon. That’s always a favourite for me.”

“Going from one party to the next and surfing to find the right thing, and being in a taxicab when the clock strikes – I’m so over that stuff. At the ripe old age of 25. Michael Lohan’s ex-fiancee Erin Muller has accused the celebrity dad of physically abusing her throughout their relationship, detailing at least 12 allegations over the last two years in new legal documents.

Lindsay Lohan’s father has been locked in a war of words with Muller for the past few months, which has seen both parties arrested on separate occasions.

Lohan was arrested earlier this month after Muller claimed he had broken a restraining order against him by contacting her, while she was questioned by authorities in November after allegedly kicking him in the head during a heated dispute.

The born-again Christian filed a police complaint against Muller on December 21st, stating he wanted to press charges against her for reportedly pulling a knife on him in another fight in September.

Now Muller is retaliating to have the harassment charge dropped – in papers filed in Nassau County, New York on Monday, she claims Lohan has a history of domestic abuse.

According to the documents, obtained by TMZ.com, Lohan “slapped Erin in the face twice” on 9 December, 2007, and “punched Erin in the mouth” in February 2008 in a fit of jealousy.

Two alleged incidents in May 2008 state Lohan “kicked Erin Muller in the ribs” and “kicked (Muller) in the vagina, bruising it and causing substantial pain”.

Lohan has yet to respond to the allegations.

Kourtney Kardashian’s relationship with Scott Disick has always been a wayward one – but is she better off being a single mom?

According to a Kourtney pal, when the reality starlet was just a few weeks shy of popping out her first child (Mason Dash Disick, born Dec. 14) she was shifting boxes and doing chores – all while Disick said on his rear and looked on.

“It was shocking,” said our source. “Here was Kourtney almost nine months pregnant doing all this and he didn’t offer to help her.”

And even Kourt’s own sister Khloe is done with Disick.

“He’s brainwashing you!” Khloe warned her older sis on a recent episode of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” before telling Disick that he “is disgusting.”

Stepfather Bruce Jenner also recently went on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show and said that the family was “working on Scott” and that he was “a work in progress.”

Kourtney called off her engagement to Disick in February after she reportedly suspected him of being unfaithful, but in August announced that she was pregnant with her first child and Disick was indeed the baby daddy.

At a Malibu party a few weeks earlier, Pop Tarts overheard the Long Island native talking about their romantic reunion and needless to say, he was well – pretty obnoxious.

“I could puke on myself and still be good looking,” Disick said, adding that Kourtney ordered him to stay on his “best behavior” if things were to work out between them.

Brooke Mueller has not gone into hiding after her Christmas Day incident with husband Charlie Sheen. Mueller, who tearfully told a 911 dispatcher that Sheen was threatening her with a knife on Dec. 25, was out and about in Aspen, Colo. (where the alleged incident took place) on Monday, E! News reports.

The 32 year-old attended a cocktail party at her mother’s home and hit celeb hangout Caribou Club and “stayed until closing time,” a source tells E!.

Reportedly wearing jeans, green sweater and no makeup among a more decked-out crowd at Caribou, “Brooke was low-key,” the source continues to E!. “She was talking to friends and walking around the small club…you could barely tell it was her.”

Not that there weren’t recognizable stars in attendance: Paris Hilton, Doug Reinhardt and Gerard Butler were all at reportedly Caribou that night, but Mueller stuck with her friends. Her twins with Sheen, Bob and Max (born this year), were spotted playing in the snow with their nanny earlier that day. 44 year-old Sheen, meanwhile, has returned to L.A.

Sheen was booked for suspicion of second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief and was released on $8500 bond Friday evening. He faces two to eight years in prison and a $2000 to $500,000 fine. Prosecutors likely won’t decide whether to file charges against Sheen until Feb. 8, when the actor is scheduled to appear in court.

New court documents reveal a heated custody battle between Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin, who has petitioned for sole custody over their son Tripp — the grandson of former Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Bristol’s early November request for sole custody was made public after a Superior Court judge ruled last week against keeping the court proceedings closed, the Associated Press reports. A temporary order had authorized the use of pseudonyms while the court was considering the request, which stated that no good “could result to the child by an onslaught of media.”

Johnston, 19, had pushed for open court proceedings.

“I feel more comfortable in a public courtroom which will help everyone stay civil and be on their best behavior,” he said in a statement.

Johnston is seeking shared custody and denies Bristol’s claims that he has avoided his parental responsibilities, according to the Associated Press.

In addition to sole custody, Bristol — who called her ex’s recent Playgirl magazine nude photo shoot “risque” — requested child support and asked that Johnston’s mother, Sherry, not be allowed unsupervised visits with their son following her drug arrest earlier this year.

“The best interests of the child compel the conclusion that Bristol should be awarded 100 percent legal and physical custody of Tripp, with visitation rights in favor of Levi,” Bristol’s attorney Thomas V. Van Flein said in the papers.

Bristol and Johnston broke off their engagement shortly after 1-year-old Tripp was born in December 2008.
