Tom Brady: ‘Back to Drawing Board’ for Baby Name

90504A1_BUNDCHEN_B-GR_04

When it comes to picking out a name for their week-old baby, Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen are still huddling.

The couple had already settled on a name months before Bündchen, 29, gave birth to a boy last Tuesday, but then she had a change of heart.

“It’s kind of back to the drawing board,” Brady, 32, said in an interview on WEEI Sports Radio. “We thought we had a name picked out for about six months and then about two days before he was born she said, ‘I don’t like that name anymore.’”

And Brady, who quickly returned to work as quarterback of the New England Patriots, says the couple will need more than the little time they can currently scrape together to have a serious discussion about the matter.

“She makes all these decisions,” Brady joked, adding, “I haven’t been home all week. We have about seven or eight choices. I have got to be home for more than just two-three hours so we can talk about it.”

His only condition? “It will probably be a traditional [name],” he says. And though he doesn’t mind choosing a Brazilian name, in honor of his wife’s heritage, “I certainly want a name that I can pronounce!”

Sienna Miller: Plus-Size Models Are “More Beautiful” Than Skinny Ones

91204X5_MILLER_B-GR_03

Don’t count Sienna Miller among those who think that the skinniest girl in the room is always the prettiest.

The British actress shared her enthusiasm for “plus-sized” models with a New York magazine reporter on Sunday. “I sincerely believe that that’s more beautiful than someone who is poker-thin. I really do,” Miller, 27, said of voluptuous women.

The actress — currently performing on Broadway in After Miss Julie, wishes she had more curves herself. “I would love to have boobs to go with my hips, but I don’t,” she says. “That’s just not the way the cookie crumbled.”

And Miller seems to have had somewhat traumatic experiences as a model herself. Before she made it in film, she found work posing at photo shoots: “I was, like, the short, funny one that they booked to make the other girls laugh and to make them look taller,” she laments.

He writes on his personal Twitter.com page, “In La. Held by customs for an hour – because of “previous convictions” then stepped into a a drizzlin (sic) grey-scape. It’s like being 16 again.”

Alicia Keys wears pants for protection

91122A1_KEYS_A_B-GR_02

Alicia Keys picked up her trademark trousered-look as a teen – so she wouldn’t be mistaken for a prostitute in her native New York.

The R&B star never exposes her legs, in public or onstage, a fashion habit she picked up years ago for her own protection.

She tells the New York Daily News, “When I was young, it was for protection. It was about being able to walk the streets in a comfortable way. This was the 42nd Street of pimps and prostitutes. So if you put on a dress, you’d instantly be looked at as an object. It made me shy away from that. Besides, pants are just as sexy.”

Brad Paisley had a painful start in music

Brad Paisley hasn’t always been a music success story – one of his first live performances left him bruised and humiliated.

The singer thought he’d scored a big break when he was asked to sing the national anthem before an ice hockey game in his native West Virginia – but the performance didn’t go according to plan.

Paisley reveals, “Before I had a record deal, I was in West Virginia and they asked me to sing the national anthem at a minor league hockey game. They had the mic in the middle of the ice. I had to go out in the dark and then they were going to put the spotlight on me. When I walked out, I slipped, and I’m on my butt and then the spotlight hit me, looking like a crime scene.”

Leona Lewis believes in aliens

91122A1_LEWIS_L_B-GR_02

Leona Lewis believes in aliens.

The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer is concerned for the future of the planet and believes it will only be saved when occupied by other “life forms”.

She told The Sun newspaper: “We’ve done so much damage I worry the world will have to end and start again. It will be the next people who occupy the planet who will learn from our mistakes. People are too selfish to stop the things that have caused global warming now. But the universe is too big for us to be the only life forms.”

The vegetarian singer – who performs ‘I See You’, the theme song from new blockbuster science fiction movie ‘Avatar’ – hopes to meet an extra-terrestrial, especially if they are like the otherworldly Na’vi who appear in James Cameron’s movie.

She added: “I hope aliens are like the Na’vi. I really like them. They care about the things I’m passionate about – nature, the planet, the environment. This song required a powerful performance so I had to find an emotional connection. I found one to them.”

Leona is not the only star who believes in aliens.

Robbie Williams is fanatical about extra-terrestrials and regularly takes late night trips in the hope of spotting UFOs.

The ‘Angels’ hitmaker claims to have had three close encounters of the third kind over the years and believes in ghosts.

He said: “People will think I’m mental – which I am!”

The BBC defends Lindsay Lohan

91212M2_LOHAN_B-GR_04

Bosses at Britain’s BBC TV network have come to the defence of Lindsay Lohan after she was accused of exaggerating her good work on a recent trip to India.

The Mean Girls star flew to New Delhi last week to shoot a BBC documentary about poverty and human trafficking and within hours of arriving she had updated her Twitter.com blog page with news of her good deeds.

Lohan wrote, “Over 40 children saved so far… Within one day’s work… This is what life is about. Doing THIS is a life worth living!!!”

But Lohan’s comments attracted criticism from charity organisers who conducted raids which saved dozens of kids from illegal sweatshops, with a spokesman for Indian campaign group Bachpan Bachao Andolan insisting Lohan wasn’t “even in the country when this raid happened.”

A spokesman for the BBC claims Lohan was merely commenting on recent events – not claiming responsibility for the good work.

The rep says, “Lindsay Lohan has just completed filming in India for a BBC Three project on child trafficking. We would like to stress that she did not say she was present at the raid, this is a misinterpretation. She was merely referring to a raid that happened connected to child trafficking – the subject of the programme.”
