As the days tick down to the town closing for the holidays, the company has picked up “Cancun,” an action spec by Eric Champnella and Grant Thompson.
The project is acting as starring vehicle for Taylor Lautner and is the first project from the newly established production shingle he shares with his dad, Dan Lautner.
Dan Lautner is in discussion to produce the movie with Temple Hill’s Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen, who forged a relationship with the actor whom they worked on Summit’s “Twilight Sage: New Moon.”
The story follows an out-of-place college kid who travels with a girl to Cancun on a break. While there, the girl and her friends are taken hostage by a drug cartel and he is forced to save them. The story is designed to take advantage of Lautner’s martial arts skills, which he showed off when he hosted “Saturday Night Live” this past weekend.

Jersey Shore lovebirds Sammi “Sweetheart” and Ronnie tell Life & Style exclusively they’re still going strong! “I’m in it for the long haul,” Sammi says. “We live about an hour apart, and I try to see him as much as I can.” Ronnie is just as smitten. “We’re still sticking strong,” he says.
Sammi, 22, confides she was hot for the beefy hunk from the get-go. “I would say it was love at first sight,” she says. For his part, Ronnie, 23, initially came into the show single and looking to stay that way. “I thought she was cute, but I wasn’t really interested in anybody in the house,” he says. “But the night we went out — the first night we did end up getting together — she came down the stairs and caught my eye!”
But the duo haven’t had the easiest courtship. There was the love triangle with Mike “the Situation,” whom Sammi kissed on the second episode before hooking up with Ronnie. “I never had strong feelings for Mike,” insists Sammi. “I just thought he was cute at first. The Situation still thinks he has a chance with me even though he doesn’t.” Ronnie isn’t worried, though. “I didn’t really find him to be a threat,” he tells Life & Style.

Jamie Jungers insists her relationship with Tiger was based on more than just sexual attraction. It was a romance, she says, one that left her heartbroken. On Dec. 11, Jamie sat down with Life & Style to tell her side of the story:
When we met, we had a good connection. But I knew he was married. I asked him, “How’s your wife?” and he said, “Good. She’s in Sweden visiting her twin sister.” I found it extraordinary that he was so matter-of-fact about it.
He was very well-endowed — above average. I would rate him an eight out of 10 in bed. He’s good. He used to call me “Jamie Juices” or his “little coffee cup.” We never used protection. We just got caught up in the moment; we didn’t discuss it. When we’d wake up in the morning, he’d turn on cartoons. He loved watching cartoons and eating stuff like cereal and Popsicles. He was kind of like a kid in that way.
I broke up with him, but I still love him and miss him. Would I take him back? Probably not. I’d have a hard time trusting him again. I think he deserves what he’s getting.
