At the center of what’s quickly shaping up to be a bitter split between golf legend Tiger Woods and his humiliated wife, Elin, are the couple’s two innocent young children — daughter Sam, 2, and son Charlie, 10 months. As someone who’s lived through a similar nightmare, Ivana Trump says Tiger and Elin should be grateful their children are too young to comprehend the extent of their father’s cheating — or a potential battle over their custody. “Thank heavens they’re too young to really understand what’s happening,” Ivana tells Life & Style. “They can’t read, and they won’t be watching the TV coverage.”

“Tiger knows Elin is planning to divorce him,” an insider in the golfer’s camp tells Life & Style. “He’s trying to come to terms with it.” And when Elin leaves, she appears determined to take the kids with her. Elin has decided to seek full custody and bring up the children without their father’s involvement, new reports say. Several other reports have suggested that once her split from Tiger becomes official, Elin may want to take the kids home to her native Sweden, perhaps as early as this holiday season. And if that’s what she wants, it’s likely she’ll be able to. “What normally happens is that the judge rules that [the mother] can go wherever she likes as long as it doesn’t cut the father out of the children’s life and make visitation difficult for him,” celebrity divorce lawyer Raoul Felder tells Life & Style.

Still, the next several months could get rocky for them since Tiger’s not about to let his kids go without a fight. Quietly, the golf star “has been exploring his legal options about keeping his children in the state of Florida,” the insider says of Tiger’s intent to fight for the children.

In a sad twist of fate, Brittany Murphy expressed her happiness and hopes for the future, just weeks before her shocking death. “I’m looking forward to enjoying the holidays, first and foremost,” the beaming brunette told In Touch on December 3 at Tiffany Saidnia’s Tt Collection Pop Up Boutique, adding that she wanted to spend Christmas in a “snowy, cold climate” like New York.

In her long-term plans, the Clueless starlet also wanted to create a big brood with her husband of two years, director Simon Monjack. “I am looking forward to having children soon. However many God is going to bless us with, we will be happy,” Brittany gushed, patting her stomach.

“We have a beautiful puppy now, she’s our little puppy person and no matter how many children we have she’ll always be my first daughter,” she told In Touch. I can’t wait to give her brothers and sisters, but I’d like to raise my children in an East Coast environment. An environment that has the change of seasons.”

The actress was thrilled about recent projects, including indie film Across the Hall. “Life is starting again in a different way for me as far as my career is concerned, and that’s exciting,” she said.

Brittany’s life was cut short when she died of cardiac arrest in her LA home at age 32 on December 20.

Her Clueless costar remembers her friend as a woman who was full of life. “I am deeply saddened by Brittney’s death,” Stacey Dash tells In Touch exclusively. “She was a bright shining light and I am sorry that we will not get to watch her grow. As an actress she was an inspiration. So good. I will always remember her laugh, it was infectious.”

TMZ has learned Brittany Murphy’s autopsy is complete. There were no signs of foul play, we’ve learned, and there was nothing that pointed to a cause of death. The cause of death has been “deferred” pending other tests.

Sources say the L.A. County Coroner will wait for the toxicology report, as well as the histopathology (study of her organs and tissues) and neuropathology (study of her brain).

One source said the body appeared “normal.” In addition, we’re told she did not appear overly thin — in contrast to some photos that surfaced several weeks ago. There was no evidence of trauma to the body.

We’re told the Coroner will not determine cause of death until the other reports are submitted — in 4 to 6 weeks.

One issue the Coroner is interested in — what prescription drugs were in Brittany Murphy’s system.

Another couple from The Hills is reality-TV history. Brody Jenner and Jayde Nicole have broken up after about 15 months together, a source close to Jenner confirms to UsMagazine.com.

Nicole, 23, hinted at the split on her Twitter around 8pm Dec. 18 with a wistful entry: “‘Sometimes when you truly love someone you have to let them go…..’ I never really understood that quote until now.”

The night before, however, the former Playboy Playmate was feeling festive. A source tells UsMagazine.com that Nicole “celebrated her breakup” with a 12-strong crew of girlfriends at Hyde Lounge in West Hollywood.

Her single-lady party continued on Dec. 19, when the model hosted a shindig at Chicago’s Manor nightclub. An insider at Manor tells UsMagazine.com that Nicole was “telling everyone” about her Dec. 17 breakup. “She made it sound like it was his doing, saying, ‘He said he needs time to ‘find himself. I don’t have time for that.’” Her ex Jenner, she told friends, has “gone to Australia” for some soul-searching.

Jenner himself Tweeted about starting “a new life” Down Under on Dec. 19. “So I decided to stay in Australia BY MYSELF!!! Hahaha this is Crazy.. Might just stay here and start a new life.”

Despite the sad news, Nicole wasn’t in a gloomy mood at Manor, the source says. “She didn’t seem bothered by the recent breakup at all. She spent the entire night downing Jager shots and flirting with all of the guys.”

Indeed, her Tweets from that night bear that out. “Rocking out at Manor” she wrote a 1:33am on Dec. 20. “Jager time!”

By 11:30am, she was feeling the effects of all those Jagermeister shots: “8 hours of sleep, too much jager= not good.”

On the just-concluded fifth season of The Hills, Nicole and Jenner argued about his flirty relationship with aggressive ex-girlfriend Kristin Cavallari. “Everything was totally fine before you came here, so you need to go back to wherever it is that you came from,” Nicole sniped at Cavallari in one heated exchange on the show.

Awkward alert: all three are signed on to shoot the sixth season of The Hills early next year.
