Looks like there is a small glimmer of hope for Tiger Woods and his dwindling endorsement deals. After speculation that TAG Heuer had ended their partnership with the pro golfer, the Swiss Watch company has now decided to stand by their man… just not as close as they were before.

In a posting on their Web site, they declare, “TAG HEUER stands with TIGER WOODS.”

The statement continues to say that the company will continue its relationship with the pro golfer, but “will respect his desire of privacy by modifying his role in the coming months’ marketing programs.”

Tiger became a TAG Heuer brand ambassador in 2002 and the relationship between the golfer has been (up till now) lucrative and beneficial to sports watch company.

“The partnership with Tiger Woods will continue,” President and CEO of TAG Heuer Jean-Christophe Babin, said in a statement on the Web site, “but we will downscale the use of his image in certain markets for a period of time, depending on his decision about returning to professional golf.

“We will continue to actively support the Tiger Woods Foundation.”

While Kate Gosselin was busy on The Jay Leno Show and not changing her last name, ex-hubby Jon Gosselin tried to trade in his car last Friday — the day the parents’ of eight divorce was finalized. Jon attempted to make a profit by trading in his BMW for a Subaru plus an additional $4,000, TMZ reports.

An employee at Auto Exchange USA in Lancaster, Pa., told TMZ Jon arrived at the car lot wanted to trade his 2005 BMW M3 for a 2008 Subaru STI and the additional money.

However, Jon’s plan to come up with some extra dough failed. His beloved Beamer was not worth as much as he hoped, and Jon aborted his mission sans the Subaru or the $4,000.

The Lancaster, Pa. car lot is ironically the spot where Stephanie Santoro used to work, the babysitter Jon had an alleged affair with.

Jon may be in for some more bad luck when his former mistresses combine forces in a reported TV interview.

Kate Major, Hailey Glassman and Stephanie are currently in discussions to sit down as a group and tell the world their side of the Jon Gosselin story, HollywoodLife.com reported earlier this month.

“I think the truth is going to come out,” Kate, the former Star reporter who left her job after falling for Jon over the summer, told Hollywood Life.

“We are all meeting together for the first time very soon and all three of us are going to publicly talk,” Kate explains. “The interview is being arranged as we speak.”

Even after his tragic death at age 50, the scandal that surrounded the life of the late Michael Jackson is still very much alive. Newly released FBI files reveal that a stalker, Frank Paul Jones, wrote a letter on July 6, 1992, threatening to kill Michael Jackson, and then-President George H.W. Bush, TMZ reports. “Michael [Jackson] I will personally attempt to kill, if he doesn’t pay me my money,” the person states in the letter released by FBI.

In regards to threatening the president, the crazed individual wrote, “I decided that because nobody is taking me serious, and I can’t handle my state of mind, that I am going to Washington D.C. to threaten to kill the President of the United States, George Bush.”

Jones was arrested on May 22, 1992 outside the White House, according to TMZ. He was released on June 4, 1992, and one day later made threats to kill Michael.

In at threatening letter to MJ he wrote, “I’ll commit mass murder at a Michael Jackson concert if necessary, in an attempt to murder Michael, then you will have to deal with my situation in the public eye.”

The death threat seemed to revolve around an unidentified female linked to MJ.

He said, “I’m 33 years old and never had a real relationship in my life. I can’t even slow dance.”

Many of the letters were written to local newspapers. The FBI says that Jones was charged with extortion, pled guilty and was sentenced to prison in 1993, according to TMZ.

Jones believed he was married to Janet Jackson, law enforcement sources told TMZ. Jones also made threats to kill Janet and even stalk the Jackson family home in Encino.

In the psychotic letters, Jones wrote “The situation … is centered around her confused sexuality.” He goes on to say if she does not “overcome” her issue over sexuality, “I’m gonna try to kill every homosexual on the face of the earth. If I can’t save my wife, they can’t be saved.”

Amy Heckerling – who directed the late Brittany Murphy in the 1995 comedy classic Clueless – tells UsMagazine.com she is “shocked and angry” after the actress’ sudden death at the age of 32.

“She was a young girl, and I don’t know why nobody was watching out with what was going on with her,” Heckerling tells Us.

Heckerling says she noticed that the actress lately “seemed a little too energetic. I think everybody did.”

Murphy’s frail frame at the Dec. 3 opening of Tt Collection’s Pop-Up shop in Los Angeles caused many to wonder whether she suffered from an eating disorder. Her husband, British screenwriter Simon Monjack, denies she had any issues. (Notes from an investigator with the Los Angeles coroner’s office revealed Murphy consumed “some noodles, leftover Thai food, Gatorade, water and tea with lemon” the night before her Dec. 20 death.)

Heckerling hadn’t seen Murphy in a year or so — and she didn’t know anything about her last film, from which she was reportedly fired (Murphy’s rep says the actress and the studio “mutually parted ways”).

“I was not around the last movie,” Heckerling tells Us. “I can’t say that I noticed anything that led me to believe, ‘Oh my god, this person is messed up.’ But one hears rumblings. It’s a small town, and you hear from other people on other crews, but that’s all rumors and stuff.”

A shocking number of strong prescription meds were found on Murphy’s bedroom nightstand after her death, according to the investigator notes.

“I just feel like I can’t say, ‘Oh, she was on drugs,’” Heckerling says. “I didn’t work with her the past couple of years, and I know she was enjoying people treating her like she was the beautiful girl. That’s where I get angry at what Hollywood does to young girls.

“This town has a very strong idea of what girls are supposed to look Like, and they all try to fit into a certain mold, and it’s not healthy,” she adds. “That’s what is tragic about Brittany.”

After Murphy filmed 2002′s 8 Mile, “I was feeling — maybe not just then at that particular time, but over time — that she was maybe being pressured to be a certain body type and a certain kind of actress as far as playing the sexy, blonde, thin girl,” Heckerling says. “And that she was buying into what she was supposed to be, rather than just being a wonderful, innocent young girl.”

“She’s all over the magazines like, ‘Look, she had a makeover and now she looks hot!’ But I didn’t think so,” Heckerling goes on. “I mean, yes, she does look beautiful all the time, but I didn’t like that she was being forced into that.”

No one ever intervened about Murphy’s weight loss over the years.

“I mean, you tell people you think they’re getting thin or whatever, but not, ‘Hey, what’s going on?’” the director explains. “It just seemed like she was blowing up, being on every magazine and being treated as though she had suddenly become beautiful. And I think she was feeling very good about that. I’m just not happy with Hollywood.”

Murphy was “a wonderful actress and a sweet lovely,” Heckerline tells Us. “She was like a puppy. She was so sweet and lovable.”

She hopes young girls can learn a lesson.

“I think girls have to have a stronger sense of who they are and not give in to all the pressures,” she says. “It’s a hard thing to do.”

Creed frontman Scott Stapp and his wife, Jaclyn, are expecting their second child together next July, the singer’s rep tells UsMagazine.com.

“When Jaclyn told me we were having another baby, I was overwhelmed with joy and again reminded what this life is for,” Stapp, 36, tells Us. “We are so thankful for God’s blessings.”

The two, who wed in February 2006, have a daughter, Milan, 3, and son, Jagger, 11.

This past October, Stapp and his band released their first album in eight years, Full Circle. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
