Candy Spelling confirms exclusively to Life & Style that she and her daughter Tori are mending their relationship after a three-year-long feud. “I’m very happy to say that Tori and I have taken it to where I think we both want it,ââ¬Â Candy tells Life & Style. ââ¬ÅWe are communicating.ââ¬Â
The public feud started on Toriââ¬â¢s 2006 VH1 sitcom So NoTORIous and the fighting only intensified after patriarch Aaron Spellingââ¬â¢s June 2006 passing.
So what sparked the long-awaited reunion? In September, they were both suffering from health issues: Tori, 36, had a stomach condition while Candy, 64, underwent back surgery. ââ¬ÅShe was in the hospital when I was in the hospital,ââ¬Â Candy explains.
Now Candy, who stars in E!ââ¬â¢s new reality series, Bank of Hollywood, which premieres Dec. 14, had even more incentive to make a speedy recovery ââ¬â finally coming face-to-face with her 18-month-old granddaughter. ââ¬ÅI did meet Stella,ââ¬Â Candy continues. ââ¬ÅStella and Liam [Toriââ¬â¢s 2-year-old son] came over to my house, and then shortly after they went on a road trip. But I’m anxiously waiting for them to come back again.ââ¬Â
