Lindsay Lohan: My Dad “Threatened to Kill” Mom
Lindsay Lohan continues to fight back after her father Michael shared old phone chats between the two of them with the press.
Her medium? Twitter, naturally.
“He’s a deadbeat dad. He’s disgusting to do this,” she wrote Thursday morning, noting, “he needs help.”
Her dad’s phone-tape leaks Wednesday, she says, “really hurts my mom for me and my siblings.”
The 23 year-old actress recalls the troubled home life and marriage between her father and mother Dina. “She blames herself for staying w/him for so long,” she says. But Lindsay begged Dina not to leave, she says, because “he always threatened to kill her if she did.”
Her father, she adds, would often disappear for several days — “cheating on my mother” and “abusing substances.”
The troubled star laments “that I even have to share this w/everyone, but I haven’t had a real relationship w/Michael Sr. In years . . . I just hope I can show others how to be strong through times and to be able to stand up for yourself and loved ones no matter what!”
In the tape Michael released Wednesday, his eldest daughter is sobbing, “No one cares about me . . . It’s about how they feel, not how I feel. It’s not about me. It’s never been about me, unless I fight for it.”
Lohan has been campaigning in the press for Lindsay to get treatment for drug and alcohol abuse.

Most abusers always threaten the one’s they abuse because that is their way of keeping all the power. I honestly think that yes, her father is a douche bag, but the messages he released do have some validity to them. Lindsay’s rantings were a severe cry for help. Of course, we’ll never know if the message was doctored, but I believe she needs help immediately. Also, in Dina’s message, it seems as if she finally admitted that Lindsay has a problem. It believ that that was the first time Dina admitted that.
