More people should be outraged by Roman Polanski, rather than stand behind him! (I’m talking to you Penelope Cruz and Adrien Brody!)

Detained Academy Award-winning director and convicted sex offender Roman Polanski may have the support of some famous faces in the film industry, but don’t count Jamie Foxx among them. According to the actor, he only needs to imagine the 1977 case against Polanski is a personal one to find his feelings.

“If it had been my daughter who was barely a teenager — my daughter is 15 — Roman Polanski would be missing … period,” Foxx stated in an interview with Parade magazine. “It wouldn’t even get to the court case. But, that’s me and I wouldn’t want anyone else to follow that because you should let the justice system work it out.”

Foxx went on to explain that while his perspective might have been different had he known the director personally, as do many of his Hollywood peers, ultimately he believes “this whole issue is bigger than Roman Polanski.” So big, it forces Foxx to confront his own complex sense of revenge.

“Revenge is a tough thing,” “The Soloist” star said. “When it comes to someone bringing harm to your family, it’s hard to think about turning the other cheek. When I hear about things that we allow to go on in our society where women are harmed, I just knee-jerk. I’ve said some things publicly that my publicist keeps telling me I should keep to myself. I don’t know if that’s my Texas upbringing, but there comes a point where you just say, ‘OK, that would be my tipping point. What would I do?’ Some of things I’ve said I’d do to sexual perpetrators were pretty graphic. But I also read some stories of people taking the law into their own hands, which is bad too. So it’s tough to know how far you’d go.”

Actor Taylor Lautner flew to Chicago at the special invite of Taylor Swift. After their passionate scene in the movie “Valentine’s Day,” both Taylors wanted to renew their acquaintance. Lautner flew with his father and spent two nights with Taylor Swift at her hotel. Lautner was given a tour of the windy city by one of Swift’s bodyguards, and then was taken to watch Swift play a sold out performance at the Allstate Arena where Lautner watched lovingly from the wings. After spending such a short time together, Swift flew to Minneapolis to continue her tour, and Lautner flew back to Vancouver to finish filming his role in “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.”

It’s time for The Notebook fans to grab a box of tissues and plan for their Februaries and romance-filled Valentine’s Day dates. Cinematical has just received this exclusive snuggle-centric poster for Dear John, which just so happens to be the latest adaptation from Notebook scribe Nicholas Sparks. Directed by Lasse Hallström (helmer behind The Cider House Rules) Dear John stars Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried, and will be hitting screens on February 5.

This time around, Sparks’ story focuses on a soldier home on leave (Tatum), and the “idealistic college student” he falls for during her Spring vacation (Seyfried). Over the course of seven years, they must face his increasingly dangerous deployments, seeing each other face-to-face rarely, but keeping the affair alive through overseas love letters that “eventually triggers fateful consequences.” War movies might be the sore vein to tap in Hollywood, but something tells me this flick will fly free of those restraints.

TMZ has learned Jon Gosselin has been ordered to return $180,000 in marital funds, which were removed in violation of an arbitrator’s order.

According to Kate’s lawyer, Mark Momjian, “The remaining sum of $55,000, which Ms. Gosselin used for household bills and expenses relating to the children, will be subject to further determination by the arbitrator at a later date.”

Jon is required to repay the loot by October 26 — the next hearing — or appear before the judge for a contempt proceeding.

The judge also ordered Kate to provide an accounting of past expenses — also due by Oct. 26.

Kate says, “As difficult as this has been for me, I am pleased that the Court has ruled fairly on behalf of myself and my children. Now that this matter has been ruled on, I look forward to returning to private arbitration, as we have agreed to do, to resolve any remaining issues.”
