Charlize Theron has opted out of the thriller “The Tourist,” to which she has long been attached, and sources say Angelina Jolie is in talks to replace her.

Jolie, fresh off an action-heavy part in “Salt,” would take on the one-part seductress, one-part action role of the title.

Production is tentatively set to begin in early 2010.

A remake of the French thriller “Anthony Zimmer” from 2005, “Tourist” centers on an American tourist who goes undercover on behalf of Interpol to entrap a former lover suspected of being a global criminal. It follows in the long tradition of innocents caught up in shady activities abroad, and also has contemporary echoes with “Taken” this past year.

It’s not the first time there’s been movement on “Tourist.” Tom Cruise had been loosely attached at an earlier point for the lead male role, but Sam Worthington will now play the part as he rides his “Terminator: Salvation” and “Avatar” hot streak.

The wait is ova – for one of the most hotly anticipated new albums in recent history, as multi-platinum, award-winning Def Jam recording artist Rihanna announces the completion of her fourth original studio album, Rated R, scheduled to arrive in the physical and digital marketplace on Monday, November 23rd.

Rated R’s first single pick, “Russian Roulette” will be launched at 11:23am EST on October 20th worldwide on http://rihannanow.com. The “Russian Roulette” video, directed by Anthony Mandler, will premiere in prime-time on ABC.

“Russian Roulette” was written and produced by fellow Def Jam artist Ne-Yo, whose long track record with Rihanna includes the #1 hit “Unfaithful” (2006, from A Girl Like Me), their Top 10 duet “Hate That I Love You” (2007, from Good Girl Gone Bad), and #1 pop/ #1 R&B “Take A Bow” (2008, from Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded). MTV viewers watched in shock on Oct. 7 as Shauvon Torres plunged chest first into the water during a Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Ruins team competition in Thailand. She was taken away in an ambulance, crying that she had popped a breast implant. Now she’s speaking exclusively to Life & Style.

“I was so afraid that if I had popped my implant, I mean, I’m in Thailand — what kind of hospital can they bring me to? Am I going to have to go get surgery right now?” Shauvon tells Life & Style.

But Shauvon reveals that her worst fears were not realized. “The doctor said I didn’t pop the implant. It looked like major muscle-tissue and nerve damage, which is why I felt so much pain.

“He told me I had to be on bed rest. I ended up flying back home and couldn’t do anything for a few weeks. Pretty much from my boobs all the way to my stomach was purple, black and blue. Thank God I didn’t end up popping it. It was so painful; it was like hitting cement when I fell. It was bad. I couldn’t even flex my chest muscles or do anything.”

Shauvon tells Life & Style she has been following doctor’s orders since leaving the challenge.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian have a very public dinner at West Hollywood’s Katsuya restaurant last night.

The couple had reportedly tried to leave the eatery via a side door, but changed their minds to come out via the front. Cibrian recently refused to speak out about his tangled love life with Rimes because he believes publicity only leads to more problems (gee, like adultery?). Seems hard to believe he didn’t know that Kastuya is a regular haunt of LA’s paparazzi!

Both stars were married when they met and have both since started divorce proceedings to end their respective marriages.
