Jennifer Garner stops by the set of “The Town” to visit hubby Ben Affleck.

Ben Affleck wrote, directs, and stars in The Town, an adaptation of the romance/heist novel “Prince of Thieves” written by Chuck Hogan.
Affleck made his directorial debut in last year’s Gone Baby Gone. I thought he did an amazing job, but it was probably one of the most haunting an disturbing movies I’ve ever seen. The scene in the end – with the house (you’ll know if you’ve seen it) haunts me to this day. It was too disturbing for words. Did you see it? What did you think?
Hopefully The Town isn’t as dark as Gone Baby Gone. I’m not sure I could handle it!

I totally agree about the movie. I hate to even think of it — it was just so devastating! Great film for film\’s sake but as for the ending — too sad for me!

That movie is so haunting in more ways than 1!
I have 2 sons and hate to even see the title. My father was a Lt. and head of CID w/the local police department for 37 years. No wonder he drank. The characters portrayed in the film (most of them) were just horrible. The house that haunts me is the one w/the upstairs where they make a delivery to.
This is a very dark movie, reminds me of Mystic River w/Sean Penn.
