What would SYTYCD be without Mia Michaels!?

We’re about to find out, unfortunately.
Mia Michaels turned to Twitter (ala Paula Abdul) to resign from So You Think You Can Dance. Mia has been with the show for 5 years, and in my opinion is the best choreographer they have on the program. I’ll be really sad to see her go!
“I AM OFFICIALLY AN ADORING FAN OF SYTYCD….THANK U FOR 5 WONDERFUL YRS…TO CREATE MOMENTS AND MOVEMENT FOR THE WORLD TO SHARE WITH ME WAS A GIFT…THANKS SYTYCD AND LOOK FORWARD TO WHATS AHEAD FOR ME…LOOKOUT WORLD!!!!!”
Neither Fox, nor Mia’s reps have commented on the news – and ICYDK is officially hoping this isn’t true. Stay Mia, stay! Mia’s dance routine’s are inspirational – and emotional and beautiful!

wow, I hope that’s not true. Mia is an incredible choreographer – love her routines! I think Tice d’Orio (sp?) is my favorite though.

Mia provided many of SYTYCD’s best choreographed dances. She will surely be missed.

Hopefully she is leaving for her own show, with nothing but Mia Michaels dancing. She was the whole reason SYTYCD existed, for me at least. She is amazing and will be missed.

Please, please say it\’s true. I\’ll be the first one to go out on a limb here and admit I hate Mia. I don\’t like her personality, and don\’t think much of her as a choreographer either.

She may not be the most technical, or innovative as far as the moves go. But one this is for sure. She puts a lot of emotion in those dances and it really tugs on many peoples heartstrings. It stirs something deep within the soul that might otherwise remain buried. Just sayin’
