Avril took to her personal website to confirm that she is in fact separating from husband, Deryck Whibley:
Deryck and I have been together for 6 and a half years. We have been friends since I was 17, started dating when I was 19, and married when I was 21. I am grateful for our time together, and I am grateful and blessed for our remaining friendship. I admire Deryck and have a great amount of respect for him. He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note.
Thank you to all my family, friends and fans for all your support.

According to an Us insider, Whibley, 29, “is crushed” by her decision.
“She dumped him and told him she was leaving him. She wants to move on,” another source told the new Us Weekly, adding that Lavigne forced him out of their $9.5 million, 12,000-square-foot estate in L.A.’s Bel Air. “Divorce papers will be filed any day now.”

Dang homegirl! I’d be happy with two $20′s, let alone all that!
Liv Tyler stopped by a Chase Bank ATM in Los Angeles, California for a little cash refill on September 17, 2009. Tyler flashed a rather large wad of bills protruding from her wallet on her way back to the car.

Michelle Williams confirms she split from director Spike Jonze in the October issue of Vogue.
“The timing was impossible,” she admits. “I thought falling in love again was the only thing that was going to save me from the pain. This erroneous idea: It just makes things more complicated.”
Jonze is the first man Williams dated after the devastating death of ex Heath Ledger, with whom she shares a three-year-old daughter, Matilda.
Williams says dating as a single mother played a part in the breakup.
“I obviously don’t know how to do it,” says Williams, who began dating the Where the Wild Things Are director in July 2008.
Jonze and Williams worked together on indie flick Synecdoche, New York in the summer of 2007. In September of the same year, Williams and Ledger called it quits.
Ledger died in January 2008 of an accidental drug overdose, which Williams still struggles with.
“I was holding it together by a string and a paper clip in the fall and winter,” she tells Vogue. “I didn’t know if I could keep it all together … You console yourself by saying it’s all a deepening process. But it’s weird. After the first year, the pain is less intense — it’s less immediate. But the magical thinking goes away too. And that’s a whole new reckoning.”
Here’s the first teaser trailer for Valentine’s Day, the movie with a million and one celebrities! Of course I’m going to see it, I love ensemble movies!! (And Bradley Cooper?! Hello!!)

Crowds gathered in the Spanish city of San Sebastian today as fans jostled to catch a glimpse of Hollywood A-lister Brad Pitt.
But the hunky actor, who is in town to promote his film Inglourious Basterds, was barely recognisable, hiding his chiseled features behind a bushy, grey-flecked beard and moustache.
Brad further played down his good looks by donning a huge pair of sunglasses and an unflattering flat cap.
The dad-of-six is in town with director Quentin Tarantino to attend the 57th San Sebastian International Film Festival, held today.
The film, which is described by Tarantino as ‘a spaghetti western but with World War II iconography’ was released last month and was accepted into the main selection at the Cannes film festival.

It was the only U.S. film to win an award at Cannes this year, earning a Best Actor award for Christopher Waltz.
Brad, who travelled alone leaving his brood and partner Angelina Jolie in France, visited the northern Spanish city of Aviles earlier this month.
The 45-year-old is said to be interested in supporting a building project which will boast an auditorium, sight-seeing tower and exhibition center.
It is intended to revive the town’s fortunes and is scheduled to open in 2010.
Keen architect Brad is already involved in a project which aims to rebuild homes in New Orleans after it was struck by Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Aviles mayor Pilar Varela said: ‘He is interested in supporting the project, the cultural as well as the architectural aspects.’

Well, if you looked like that – wouldn’t you check yourself out too?
Did I mention that I met him? Dang, he’s hot! So much hotter in person! The whole time I was talking to him – I kept thinking “am I blushing? Can he tell I’m losing it?”. Sooooo hot! Pictures of me talking to him.
And what does Kellan have to say about all this attention from us older women? (I’m 32, which compared to most of his fans probably categorizes me as “older”.)
“It has been strange, not because of the attention, which is of course flattering, but because of the age ranges. It’s from young teenagers all the way to their 40-year-old mothers! Those Twilight moms have made me blush more than once with the fan mail and the packages that they send.”
I have to say I can’t WAIT for New Moon. I’m not so bad that I’ve actually bought my ticket already (most Fandango-type websites are selling out their New Moon screenings already!) but believe me, I’ll see it within the first days of it’s opening.
