“Jennifer’s Body” Bombs!
I don’t know why, but I’m really surprised by this! With as much advertising as they threw at us, I thought for sure there would be flocks of teenage boys and girls lined up to see this movie. But believe it or not, the movie was a HUGE FLOP on opening night!
Jennifer’s Body, written by Juno’s Diablo Cody, and starring red-hot (right now) Megan Fox and the awesome Amanda Seyfried came in fifth place with only $2.8 million! The animated kids movie Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs took the #1 slot with $8.1 million!
Jennifer’s Body is only expected to bring in around $7 million over the weekend, which by Hollywood standards is considered a massive flop.

for some reason, with all the promotions and premieres, i thought this movie came out at least a month ago already.

i imagined that this would be one of those movies like that lesbian zombie one that jenna jameson was in, that only perverts go and see

I saw this movie and actually liked it a lot. I think it was wrong of them to market it as a horror/comedy since there weren’t that many funny parts but was more of a traditional horror/thriller movie.
And I wasn’t surprised at how poor it did, the theatre I saw it in, it was on the largest screen but there were only about 10 people in the theatre and when we left, there was a longer line to get into the next screening of The Informant then the next screening of Jennifer’s Body.

I’m sure many teenage boys and girls would line up for this movie, except they weren’t allowed to watch it? It’s a R movie.
