Kelly Osbourne urges teenagers not to get tattoos

Kelly Osbourne has urged rebellious teenagers not to follow her example and get tattooed – because she hates all her ink.
The 24 year old star admits she was drunk when choosing to get most of her skin art – and now she’s sober after stints in rehab, the tattoos are just permanent reminders of bad times in her life.
In an interview for Access Hollywood, she says, “Don’t get tattoos, please, because you hate them when you get older. I hate them.”
And there’s a tattooed keyboard on her forearm, which she really can’t stand: “I can’t play the piano and I have a keyboard because I went through my weird 80s phase and I was really drunk.”

So I can’t get tattoos because you were a stupid drunk twat? Well, you’re not drinking anymore. That just leaves you being a stupid twat.

Thats awesome that she would come out and say that. I bet alot more people will be coming out to say it was a bad choice in the next couple of years as well.

I’ve been sober for all of my tattoos and have spent months planning them. If I regret them in the future- that’s on me but I’ll know that I put thought and emotion into it. I didn’t get drunk like an idiot (like her) and do something life-changing.

If you got drunk, got pregnant and regret the mistake don’t tell other women not to get pregnant because they’ll regret it like you. We aren’t all dumb like you. Some of us put thought into our life decisions.

so because she regrets hers it means that everyone will?
i’m in my 30s and am have full sleeves and then some. and i don’t regret them at all. how about this: don’t get STUPID tattoos and you won’t have to regret them!

I think it would have been wiser if she just warned people not to be drunk while getting tattooed.

Tattoos are retarded. All these kids are going to regret having cheesy shit doodled on them.
Also why is it always fucking Chinese characters? You never see sine dirty hippy with “peace” in Arabic or Russian tatooed on their arm. And it sure ain’t because they study Chinese. Too busy smokin1g.

… instead of encouraging teenagers to stay away from tattoos, you encourage them to stay away from alcohol, so they don’t become the spoiled drunk brat that you are and make poor life decisions.

The above four comments are so absolutely well written that I almost can’t believe they’re posted on the internet. Couple this with the fact that they say everything that needs to be said on the subject, and I want to give all the posters serious high fives.

I love how when stupid people do things before they think, they feel like it is their job to warn everybody before they make the same mistake.
There is nothing wrong with tattoos. I got a tattoo when I was 22 (sober, by the way) and 5 years later I am still happy I got it.
Just THINK about what you\’re getting before you get it. It\’s pretty simple.

And staying away from alcohol isn’t the answer either. Why can’t people just learn to drink responsibly?

Hysterical… she should try warning teens against getting drunk and acting like a cunt rather than squawking about tattoos.

I am a 37 yr old woman and have 6 tattoos. I absolutely love all of them. I agree with other poster\’s here that it is about thinking before you get inked! A good tattoo artist (like mine) will not even do the tattoo if you are drunk!

taking 50 vicodin a day? that’s not nearly as regrettable as getting pink angel wings on your back. kelly osbourne is def the person to take advice from, kids.
and BY THE WAY…
this bitch doesn’t have the money to get laser tattoo removal???

Lol, That is sooooo true irony, and yea, i wasn’t drunk when i got my tat’s either, it’s all on her, she’s the dumb bitch who was messed up when she got them, which is pretty retarted because by law, your not supposed to be under the influence of ANY substance when being inked, well at least here in texas, point being, she was fu**ed up when she got em, which is WHY she regrets them, and that’s not our problem, so she should have no one to blame but herself.

I have no tattoos for the simple reason that I have never fallen in love with any art (and be honest, most tattoos don\’t even rise to the level of art… freakin\’ tweety bird smoking a cigar?) and had it last. I don\’t even like some of the clothes I loved a few months ago. There\’s just no way I\’ll love something I think is cool now in ten or twenty years.
Maybe when they approve the subdermal computer display things that can be reprogrammed with new images…

Sadly, the audience she\’s addressing is too busy trying to outcool their peers to listen.

I agree with many of the comments posted… but just to add my two-cents – I have to question the reputation of the artist(s) who would place ink on anyone under the influence… most professionals I have been to (I have 10 tats and love them all) have strick policies on being 100% clear of any substance! I appreciate her willing to share her thoughts but each person needs to decide for themselves.

I regret the tattoos all of you have. What did I do to you to make you defile yourselves so?
September 7th, 2009 at 6:55 am
Tattooing is mostly about the money, so there are tattoo artists who will put ink on a stoned pig, if it pays. Bottom line: you can plan for tats all you want, I have ‘em, and they are based in insecurity and self absorbtion. That there a “commitment” argument is just tough talk garbage. If you believe something and feel it to your bones, you don’t need to put it on your skin. Everybody is free to do what they want, express themselves how they see fit. But don’t try to say that you got marked because of some deeper meaning. The fact that Kelly Osbourne has tats supports my first statement about putting ink on a stoned pig. Of course, with that said, it’s just my opinion : )

I got a big ol’ trendy tramp-stamp when I was 18. Big mistake.
September 8th, 2009 at 6:56 am
Pah! As if, she has the money to get them removed…. so why hasn’t she? Fucking loser, I’ll keep my tattoos thanks!

i think its ok to get a tatoo if it means somethings that means alot to you, but i dont think you should get a bunch cause they look cool!! its cool thats kelly thinks that some were a bad idea!!
