On being BFF with Billy Joe:

“I watched Billie Joe [Armstrong] the other night doing three and a half hours and then three hours at Madison Square Garden, and then have a cigarette, which pissed me off. So I’ve been talking to him every night — like, he’s my new BFF. Billie Joe Armstrong is my new BFF. It’s awesome. Nobody gets him. Like, he’s a very peculiar person and I’m really very meat-and-potatoes, way more than people think. So, we sort of negate each other’s … what other people perceive of us.”

On the Taylor Momsen Twitter feud:

“Oh, I would NEVER pick on a little girl! No, no, no. Somebody fucking — I would never Twit THAT. It didn’t make sense to me. Somebody took my picture down as well. I would never pick on a child. That’s stupid. I’ve been around for a long time and she can fucking — I don’t own blonde hair.”

On what she’s doing in NYC:

“Oh, I’m moving here! I am moving here! That’s what I’m doing here. That’s what we’re doing. I’m just getting my daughter into a school here and then we’re recording.”

Jon and Kate Gosselin’s marriage fell apart in October 2008, and he was living separate from Kate and the kids as early as January 2009, according to a new interview in In Touch weekly.

“Many people think that everything moved too fast, that I was out partying too quickly. But Kate gave up on the marriage last October, and the divorce will be finalized by Sept. 30,” he said during an Aug. 2 interview in New York.

The episode of “Jon & Kate Plus 8” that featured the Gosselins renewing their marriage vows in Hawaii aired Nov. 17, 2008; the In Touch interview doesn’t address whether TLC was aware that the Gosselin’s marriage was on the rocks and TLC didn’t comment.

Jon went on to say that he and Kate flew to Utah on Jan. 1, and on Jan. 12, Kate flew home by herself (with security) and Jon stayed behind. “That’s when I started to just hang out and meet people, and feel free,” he told the magazine. “Not too many girls, just with my guy friends. I couldn’t do that for nine years. When I came back on the 17th, Kate and I weren’t talking. So I just said, ‘I’m moving out of the house,’ and that was it.”

Jon, clearly, has moved on, at least romantically. Although he’s been linked with several different girls, he tells In Touch he’s in love with Hailey Glassman, the daughter of the plastic surgeon who performed Kate’s tummy tuck.

“She is a really cool person. We both like snowboarding and sports. She is like the female version of me. She is so caring, kind and open. She is beautiful and glowing, and I love her to death.”

On June 4 – eight days after he popped the question to Jillian Harris on The Bachelorette finale – Ed Swiderski slept with former girlfriend Lindsey Johnson, according to the new issue of Us Weekly (on newsstands now).

A day later, he tried to bed a different woman, Bethany Steffen, texting her to “bring beer and condoms” over to his place, Steffen tells Us.

The humiliated women are speaking out now to warn Harris, 29, about her new fiancee’s two-timing ways.

Says Steffen, “Ed’s not worth my time, but if I can help someone avoid heartbreak, I’m gonna do that.”

According to Us Weekly, Swiderski had been dating both Steffen and Johnson behind each other’s backs prior to filming The Bachelorette in late March (the finale, taped in May, aired July 27).

Even while he was on the hit ABC show he texted Johnson that Harris wasn’t his “type” and that he prefers “all blondes,” she says. “I love you,” he also wrote her.

Us Weekly reports that he lied to Harris when he said he had to bow out of episode five because he thought he’d lose his job as a Chicago Microsoft consultant.

While away, both women say they slept with Swiderski.

He then told them he was off to “a business trip in Texas,” when in reality he returned to film episode seven of The Bachelorette and declare to Harris that he had “reprioritized” when it came to work and romance.

Of the women’s claims, Harris tells Extra, “It’s not possible… This is a bump in the road and we’ll get through it.”

But Steffen warns Harris, “Lindsey and I are both smart girls, and Ed just has this way of making people believe what he wants. Jillian needs to be careful.”

Adds Johnson, “I feel gross, used and completely violated. It shocks me that he was able to do something like that to me.”

Paula Abdul is out.

After eight seasons, she confirmed late Tuesday that she is leaving the hit Fox show American Idol.

“With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to Idol,” Abdul, 47, Twittered. “I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day one become an international phenomenon.”

“What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me,” she added. “I do, without any doubt, have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.”

Her announcement comes weeks after her manager hinted the singer-dancer was leaving the show because there was no contract on the table.

In a statement Tuesday, a Fox TV rep said: “Paula Abdul has been an important part of the American Idol family over the last eight seasons and we are saddened that she has decided not to return to the show. While Paula will not be continuing with us, she’s a tremendous talent and we wish her the best.”

Added host Ryan Seacrest (via Twitter): “I am shocked and saddened about Paula.” He said he “cant’ imagine” a judge’s panel without her.

With Abdul’s exit, the number of judges returns to three, with Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi, who announced Monday she will be returning.

Taping begins Thursday.
