Bachelorette’s Jillian: I Was “Tearing Up” Over Other Women

Jillian Harris

Bachelorette’s Jillian Harris says she cries over reports that her fiance, Ed Swiderski, slept with one woman and tried to bed another days after proposing to her on national TV.

“I’ll admit, I was tearing up with my dad this morning,” Harris, 29, told The Province newspaper Thursday. “I would never do anything mean-spirited in my life. I’ll never say a mean thing about one of those girls even though I’m very confused why they would do something like this…. I just don’t really get it, but that’s part of what I signed up for and I just need to hold on tight and get through it.”

Harris still denies that Swiderski was two-timing her with Lindsey Johnson and Bethany Steffen, as both women exclusively reveal in excruciating detail in the newest issue of Us Weekly (on stands now).

“It’s actually very sad for me and for Ed and I’m sure for the two girls involved, who I’m sure are very regretful for saying these things that aren’t true,” she says.

Harris swears she was “in the loop like you would not believe” about Swiderski’s relationship with Johnson and Steffen, who she writes off as ex girlfriends who still have feelings for him. (Us Weekly reports that Johnson slept with Swiderski a week after he proposed to Harris, and Swiderski attempted to bed Steffen, texting her: “Bring beer and condoms!”)

Swiderski is “so open,” Harris swears. “Of course he’s had exes. I’m very aware of that. I think there were definitely some feelings there when he left for the show … and that’s human nature and I understand that.

“I feel very sorry for the girls who are broken-hearted, because I know how that feels,” continues Harris, who was dumped by Jason Mesnick on Season 13 of The Bachelor.

“The way that they have dealt with it, to bring up things from the past that don’t apply to my relationship with Ed, it’s making them, I believe, look a little bit foolish….” she goes on.

Despite admitting tears, Harris says Swiderski’s dalliances are “not important to [her].” She says she still plans to move to Chicago next month to be closer to her fiance.

“I am not affected by this at all,” she says. “We really plan on trying to get out of the limelight and trying to get on with our lives. It’s been a hard couple of days but … it only made us stronger and it’s only made us communicate with each other more.

“We’re doing fine,” continues the Vancouver-based restaurateur. “It’s hard because I’m just a regular Canadian girl.”

Nadya Suleman scores a victory against Gloria Allred

Nadya Suleman

The epic battle between OctoMom Nadya Suleman and Gloria Allred rages on — and this time it’s Octo that scored the victory.

The Fourth District Court of Appeal just overturned a prior ruling which appointed an independent guardian to watch over the OctoKids’ estate — a move Allred and a guy named Paul Peterson helped engineer.

The appeals court ruled Peterson — a former child actor who filed the petition to protect the scratch the OctoKids are going to make for their reality show — had no legal standing.

Your move, Allred.

Jackson Toxicology Report — Propofol Plus …

Michael Jackson

Multiple law enforcement sources tell us the toxicology report in the Michael Jackson case shows Jackson had a lethal amount of the anesthetic Propofol in his system — but that wasn’t the only drug.

We’re told the toxicology findings show there was also alprazolam — also known as Xanax — in Jackson’s system. Xanax is used to treat anxiety.

But our sources say Propofol was — as one source put it — “front and center in terms of why [Jackson] died.”

Cocaine a factor in the death of Billy Mays

Billy Mays

TV pitchman Bill Mays took cocaine just days before his death, contributing to his fatal heart attack, according to an autopsy.

Mays, 50, the bearded man with the booming voice best known for his ubiquitous OxiClean ads, was found dead June 28 in his Florida home.

“From the presence of metabolites of cocaine and the absence of cocaine itself, it was concluded that Mr. Mays used cocaine in the few days prior to his death but not immediately prior to death,” says a statement from the Hillsborough County, Fla., medical examiner. “Cocaine can raise the arterial blood pressure, directly cause thickening of the wall of the left ventricle of the heart, and accelerate the formation of atherosclerosis in the coronary arteries.”

Mays was pronounced dead after his body was found in his bed by wife Deborah Mays. Early speculation focused on a bump to his head during a rough landing of a flight the day before into Tampa. But the coroner had found no sign of head trauma.

Tiffani Thiessen will not be on the new 90210

Tiffani Thiessen

Just because Tiffani Thiessen went to her high school reunion, that doesn’t mean she wants to go back to high school! After the much-anticipated Saved by the Bell cast reunion, Tiffani tells In Touch exclusively that going back to her 90210 days is not in her cards. Formerly the scheming Valerie Malone on the high school drama, Tiffani tells In Touch, “I feel I have moved on in another direction. But the show is great.”

The star said she has new work to focus on in her post-graduate life, with a role in the USA Network’s series White Collar. “I am blessed to have a job,” she expressed, but said it will be difficult to be taping in New York, far from her husband Brady Smith in LA — whom she’s never been apart from in their four-year marriage. “It’s going to be really hard, but we are going to try and make it work and be back and forth. Luckily, I don’t have to work every day.”

Steven Tyler broke his shoulder

Steven Tyler

As In Touch reported yesterday, Aerosmith’s front man, Steven Tyler, fell off the stage during his performance at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota on Wednesday night.

The singer is currently nursing a broken shoulder, after being airlifted to the Rapid City Regional Hospital. A spokesperson for the band announced that their planned show in Winnipeg, Canada, on August 7, has been postponed while Steven recovers from the accident.

I’m just glad he’s okay, he’s a legendary performer and awesome in concert.

Dean McDermott: I’d Love to Be on Dancing with the Stars!

Dean McDermott

Dean McDermott — known to take on anything from scuba diving to racing motorcycles on his and wife Tori Spelling’s Oxygen reality show Home Sweet Hollywood — is not one to turn down a challenge. But this time, his new goal might be a surprise.

“I’d love to be on Dancing with the Stars,” says McDermott, who is the Grand Marshall of the Los Angeles Ride for Autism this Saturday. “It looks like the scariest thing in the world.”

Why DWTS? “I’m a huge fan of the show and it looks like a lot of hard work,” says McDermott, who has been rumored to be a possible contestant on the show. “I tend to gravitate towards anything that’s a challenge.”

As for his dancing skills, McDermott admits to PEOPLE that he might be in for an uphill battle. “I have no dancing skills whatsoever except for the improv stripper moves which Tori thinks I’m pretty good at,” he says with a laugh. “I’m 6′ 3” with size 14 feet, so I’m like a giraffe. My dance partner would be stepped on constantly.”

Luckily, he already has one fan. “I’d be so psyched if he was on the show!” says Spelling. “I’d be in the front row every week. I think he’d be amazing.”

This weekend, Spelling will accompany her husband as he hits the road on a Suzuki Boulevard M109 cruiser bike at the Ride for Autism. “I’m thrilled,” says McDermott about being chosen as the Grand Marshall for this year’s event, which will feature a record-breaking 600 riders. “I was inspired by Jenny McCarthy, whom I did a movie with. After reading her book about her struggle when her son was diagnosed with autism, I felt I wanted to be involved and raise awareness.”

The couple has donated a custom Spyder women’s bike with their autographs to help raise this year’s goal of $200,000.
