Michael Douglas has broken his silence about his son Cameron’s recent arrest on drug dealing charges.

According to a statement from Michael’s rep: “The family is devastated and very disappointed in Cameron’s recent behavior. Any family who has dealt with substance abuse knows how devastating it can be.”

Cameron, who was caught with methamphetamines, is currently behind bars at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, after violating the terms of his home detention by allegedly asking his girlfriend to smuggle heroin to him inside his mother Diandra’s NYC apartment.

A preliminary hearing is set for September 10. If convicted, Cameron faces a minimum of 10 years in prison.

Jessica Simpson has been caught in another earthquake.

After feeling the jolt of a 6.6 earthquake that hit early Tuesday morning, she Tweeted that she felt another tremor – which measured 6.7 on the Richter scale – Wednesday.

“We just had another earthquake,” she Twittered, adding that hairstylist Ken Paves “fell to the ground. We couldn’t stop laughing. He flew out of his boots. SO funny!!”

Despite the bumps, Simpson seems to be having a nice visit as she films her new VH-1 TV show The Price of Beauty, which follows the singer, 29, as she tours seven countries to document what beauty means to women around the world.

So far, she has met with Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori. As cameras rolled, Simpson and Riyo walked around a park Tuesday, talking about what beauty means in Japan.

“It was very exciting to work with Jessica,” Mori tells Usmagazine.com. “She is a beautiful and friendly girl. She was always smiling and seemed very happy. The interview was in English, and it was fun to talk about Japan with her. She is enjoying herself.”

She is expected to continue filming this week as she hosts a fashion show in Japan. BFFs CaCee Cobb and hairstylist Paves are accompanying her on her trip.

Victoria Beckham must like sitting in that fourth judge’s chair.

After serving as a guest judge last Friday for opening American Idol auditions in Denver, she has arrived in Boston for callbacks. (This is the point of the show where judges give singers a golden ticket to advance to Hollywood.)

Last week, Beckham told Ryan Seacrest she wanted to play off Paula Abdul’s judging style. (Abdul was known to be the most supportive of the judges.)

“I want to be nice to people,” she said. “I know how it feels to stand there and be judged … I don’t want to shatter anybody’s dream, but at the same time there’s nothing wrong with constructive criticism.”

She also said she didn’t feel guilty about replacing Abdul, who announced earlier this month that she was leaving the show after eight season amid salary disputes.

“I’m a spiritual person and I believe that you get back what you put out there, and I hope she does something that is bigger and better,” she said. “There’s something great for her around the corner, I’m sure.”

While she may be top-billed in the new movie Bright Star, Australian actress Abbie Cornish first rose to prominence in the U.S. two years ago, when she costarred in the real-life domestic drama involving the then-married Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon.

Cornish, now 27, and Phillippe, 34, met on the set of the movie Stop-Loss, and today they share a home in Los Angeles – “where it was love that brought me here, not work,” she tells W magazine for its September issue. “I think the city feels and looks a little bit different because of that.”

While Witherspoon has publicly called divorce humiliating and isolating, Cornish – whom W says was “cast as the culprit” – looks back on the period when the spotlight first fell on her as “a really difficult time for me.”

Suddenly, she said, she was forced to enter a realm of paparazzi and tabloid coverage “that I’d never been exposed to. In a normal successful career, someone usually learns these things bit by bit. For me, it was like night and day. I woke up one day and there was this whole new thing I had to process and deal with.”

Since then, she has moved in with Phillippe and spends time with his and Witherspoon’s two children: Ava, 9, and Deacon, 5.

As for whether or not she’s engaged to Phillippe: “No,” she answers. Then, when asked if there are plans for their relationship to head in that direction, Cornish says, “I don’t know.” Following a tense laugh, she suggests to her interviewer, “I think I’m nearly ready to go on to another part of the conversation.”

Move over, Robert Pattinson, it seems Taylor Lautner is taking over your Twilight spotlight – and your leading lady.

“I love that kid,” Lautner’s New Moon love interest Kristen Stewart, 19, says in Entertainment Weekly’s Fall Movie Preview issue, on newsstands Friday. “I would do anything for him. I would kill for him, literally.”

But the 17-year-old heartthrob – who originated his role as Bella’s bestie Jacob Black – nearly lost his starring shot in the blockbuster franchise’s follow-up, until Stewart stepped in.

“It’s completely understandable why they wanted to make sure he was right,” says Stewart, who with New Moon director Chris Weitz, encouraged Lautner’s casting. “He was so young, 16, so I got it. But I knew he had [to do] it. Just because of how I felt around him. I literally saw Jacob in him.”

To further secure his role, Lautner famously gained more than 30 lbs. for New Moon. “Now I’m a big bad wolf!” he says.

Jennie Garth has the answer to Hollywood’s hottest mystery.

For months, speculation has swirled around the romantic life of Twilight star Robert Pattinson. Is he dating his onscreen leading lady Kristen Stewart? Or is he with Nikki Reed? And what about his Remember Me costar Emilie de Raven?

Well, Garth – whose husband, Peter Facinelli, costars in the vampire series – says that she knows the truth about Pattinson’s love life.

Speaking to reporters at the Save the Children’s Back to School Program last week, the 90210 actress said Faccinelli comes home and tells her the scoop about his costars. But Garth isn’t spilling any secrets.

When asked who Pattinson is really dating, she played coy. “I can’t say,” she answered laughing. “That will be breaking my promise to my husband. But I do know.”

More than two months after his daughter’s death, Mike Tyson says he’s still “going through a process [and] trying to heal.”

“I am in denial, because I don’t know how to handle it,” Tyson tells Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t know what to do or say.”

The boxing champ’s 4-year-old daughter Exodus died May 26 after accidentally strangling herself on a cord from a treadmill at home in Arizona.

Tyson describes the tragedy as “a dark moment in my life,” adding that he beat “myself up over my daughter” and stayed in his home depressed.

“I am working with dealing with it,” he tells the TV show. “I have become a member of an exclusive club no one wants to join. I have been told the pain never stops but you get over it.”

One way Tyson has been coping – getting back to work, which includes an appearance on the new FOX series Brothers. Says Tyson, who also delivered a hilarious turn in this summer’s big-screen hit The Hangover, “[Acting] keeps me functioning as a healthy human being.”
