Tyra Banks is ditching her trademark weaves for the season 5 premiere of her CW talk show, airing Sept. 8. She will reveal her “natural hair.”

“This season on The Tyra Show we’re taking it to the next level and getting more real than ever before by encouraging women everywhere to own and rock what they’ve got and be proud!” she says in a press released. “For the season 5 premiere, I will be doing just that – no fake hair, I’m rocking my REAL hair. This will all be going down on September 8, 2009, which we’re declaring National Real Hair Day! We welcome everyone to go natural with me!”

It’s a boy for Tom Cavanagh! The actor and wife Maureen welcomed a son, James Joseph Cavanagh, on Aug. 5, People has learned exclusively.

Baby James – who weighed 7.8 lbs. and was 20 inches long – joins older siblings Thomas Patrick, 2, and Alice Ann, 3 ½.

The former Ed and Love Monkey star and his wife, a photo editor at Sports Illustrated, have been married for five years.

Cavanagh, 45, was recently on TNT’s Trust Me opposite Eric McCormack and is currently prepping to star in Hairbrained.

Jessica Simpson isn’t trying to fill Paula Abdul’s vacant judge’s seat on American Idol.

The New York Post reported Monday that the singer’s father Joe is pushing producers to cast Simpson as a replacement for Abdul.

But Simpson’s rep tells Usmagazine.com: “There is absolutely no truth to this.”

She is currently shooting her VH-1 reality show about beauty overseas. The show airs in 2010.

Meanwhile, Abdul still remains jobless.

She will not be guest-starring on Ugly Betty, as had been rumored, the Los Angeles Times confirmed over the weekend. (She had been in talks to play a temp who befriends Becki Newton’s character Amanda at Mode magazine.)

Kelly Osbourne admits she is nervous about her upcoming Dancing With the Stars debut.

“I am so excited, but I cannot tell you how terrified I am,” she said on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS-FM radio show Monday. “Dancing is something that I’ve always really wanted to be able to do, but never had the confidence and the technique, if you know what I mean. I’m not very graceful, so it’s just something that absolutely terrifies me, and it’s the main reason that I kind of wanted to do it. I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do something that scared me, and I don’t think anything could scare me more.”

She said she’ll find out her partner on Friday, but she doesn’t care who she winds up with.

“I’m just excited to be a part of it,” she said. “A couple of years ago, I was in Chicago on [London's] West End and I was originally meant to be Roxie but when it came down to doing the dancing, I couldn’t learn the dancing in time because I can’t dance, so I went and did Mama Morton instead.”

Though some of previous contestants have had a dancing background, “there is a good percentage of them who don’t and it’s fun,” said Osbourne. “You make mistakes, you learn and it’ll be like a team of people going on a journey together, so it’ll be fun.”

She said she doesn’t care if she wins, either.

“I’m not doing this to try and prove that I’m better than someone else at something,” she said. “I’m doing it because it scares me.”

She said she’s “excited” to get in shape too.

Said Osbourne, “My body is going to get sick and be toned.”

Refreshed from a recent trip to the Four Season’s Puta Mita Resort in Mexico, Tori Spelling, accompanied by hubby Dean McDermott, opened up to OK! about her delicate relationship with estranged mother Candy Spelling in an exclusive interview.

“I definitely want to reconcile with my mother, but that’s the wrong word,” Tori confessed to OK!. “There’s nothing that really happened that made us fight. It’s just time, distance and media that have come between my mom and me.”

Speaking to OK! at the grand opening of A Hollywood Spectacle earlier this week, Tori explained, “I just think that as long as we both keep it private from here on out, reconciliation is imminent. It will totally happen and I hope that she wants that.”

Candy claimed to have e-mailed prior to missing Stella’s first birthday party, but Tori was almost brought to tears as she discussed how she holds out hope for her mom to come around for her own children.

“I am proud of my kids, but I also want to make my mom proud of me. I’m still a momma’s girl at the heart of the situation,” Tori dished to OK!. “I look forward to the relationship that Liam and Stella will have with their grandmother one day and I’m confident that it will happen.”

And if Candy calling her daughter a “middle-aged woman” was meant as a put-down, Tori doesn’t seem to be taking the comment too seriously. “When you’re in your twenties, you can still wear things like this and then I become a mother of two and wear these six-inch Fendi heels and I’m falling all over the place,” she joked to OK!.

All kidding aside, husband Dean spoke candidly about his own relationship with his now-deceased father and how he can relate to his wife’s heartbreaking situation.

“I know the hurt because I have gone through it,” Dean revealed. “I know what it’s like to hold out hope and for it to not pan out and to get your feelings hurt again and again. After a while, at the end of the day, you really have to protect yourself and see that it’s not healthy for us… Your family can cause you a lot of pain and heartache.”

Brad Pitt won’t be joining the cast of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes after all.

London’s Daily Mirror reported that he is set to arrive in London this week to begin filming scenes as Holmes’ nemesis Moriarty. He is expected to shoot all over the city, including the Royal Victoria Dock, Pontoon Docks, Pinewood and Chatham Docks in Kent, the paper claimed.

Ritchie – who last worked with Pitt in 2000′s Snatch – decided to add Pitt to the cast, which includes Robert Downey Jr as Holmes and Jude Law as Dr. Watson – after seeing the first edit, according to the report.

But a studio rep tells Us: “The report in today’s London Mirror is completely inaccurate. Brad Pitt is not joining the cast of Sherlock Holmes and we’re extremely pleased with the production of the film. As planned, it will be released on Christmas Day, 2009. In order to complete the movie, we’ve scheduled a few days on set to shoot a couple of additional scenes, obtain pick-up shots, and perfect some of the visual effects elements, all of which is standard filmmaking practice.”
