Robin Wright Penn, whose relationship with Sean Penn has been on-again, off-again for the several years, says she has no plans to reconcile with the actor.

“I’d been stagnant,” the actress, best known for roles in The Princess Bride and Forrest Gump tells More magazine for its September issue, on sale Aug. 25. “I think I’ve always been waiting for things to happen. Now I’m like, ‘I’m okay – I know the direction, whoever’s on board can go with me.”

One person who won’t likely be onboard is Penn. Together since 1989 and married in 1996, the couple endured a roller-coaster relationship only to file papers of legal separation not once, but twice – only to patch things up again as recently as May.

But that was then, not now. “I hit that crossroad a while ago,” Wright Penn says. “I know what I don’t want.”
 What she does want is to re-activate her career. “There’s no limbo anymore,” she says. “There’s no time. I’m too old for this s—.”

Regarding her much-discussed marriage, friends tell More that what the couple had was a “peculiar chemistry. For her part, Wright Penn tenders no regrets.


”I, we, have two amazing children we raised together,” she says. Daughter Dylan Frances, 18, is headed off to college, with son Hopper Jack, 16, preparing to follow suit – which will leave mom with an empty nest.

“At least twice a week, I pull over and sob,” she says. “My baby is leaving. It’s an emotionally full time, but it’s not sad. I can’t wait for Dylan to go [out and] live. That’s what makes me cry.”

First Victoria Beckham, then Mary J. Blige — and now Shania Twain? We’re hearing that the country superstar might take a seat next to Simon Cowell as a guest judge at upcoming American Idol auditions.

Twain may fill Paula Abdul’s vacant spot on the judging panel in Chicago on Aug. 30-31.

Blige teamed up with the Idol crew in Atlanta, while Victoria Beckham filled in for Abdul in Boston earlier this month.

Bradley Cooper and his Code 39 costar Renée Zellweger said “adios” to Barcelona and returned to the United States, where the two spent their weekends at separate events.

On Saturday, the actress attended the premiere of her new movie, My One and Only at a private estate in Wainscott, N.Y., sans Cooper, who was in New Jersey at Alyssa Milano’s wedding. The actor is friendly with her groom, David Bugliari, a Hollywood agent.

Zellweger kept tightlipped about her blossoming romance with Cooper. (When asked about her trip, she only quipped, “time to go!) But the actress did take her parents along to the screening and dinner, which was held at The Blue Parrot in East Hampton.

While in Spain last week, Zellweger and Cooper were spotted at the luxury Hotel Arts Barcelona – where they got cozy. Cooper kept his arm around her, while Zellweger tucked her hand into his back pocket.

“They make a great couple,” a friend of Zellweger told People last week. “They get along well; they have fun together, and they’re really happy.”

In light of Kourtney Kardashian’s pregnancy, Scott Disick, 25, has changed, says her sister Khloe.

Though the couple split in February after she suspected him of cheating, “he’s always been obsessed with Kourtney,” Khloe told Usmagzine.com Sunday at a pool party at Wet Republic in Las Vegas to promote their new E! show Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami.

These days, “he’s more — well, I don’t know if a man can be maternal, but he’s definitely becoming more maternal,” Khloe added. (“Paternal,” Kourtney, 30, corrected her.)

She said she isn’t sure they’ll wed.

“I feel like there’s just so much in my mind, and I have so much to plan and think about for the baby,” she said. “I will worry about myself later.”

As for her pregnancy, she said, “I feel good.”

She said she hasn’t had any weird cravings. “I have more healthy cravings than my normal eating habits,” she said. “I crave fruit and smoothies. I mean, I definitely eat junk. Yesterday, I laid in bed and ate Pinkberry and Twizzlers and Mexican food. I mix it up.”

Kourtney – who is due in December – said she’s gained about 10 pounds so far.

“I’m embracing it,” she said. “I like when my body changes. I like seeing it. I run around naked all day at home. I think it’s like a beautiful thing.”

She said she doesn’t know yet if she’s having a boy or girl.

Though filming on their new Miami show has wrapped, “we’re taping season four of Keeping up with the Kardashians which we’ve already filmed a little bit for and we start fully taping in September,” Kourtney said.

TMZ has learned Khloe Kardashian underwent a minor surgical procedure early this morning to remove a potentially cancerous mole from her body.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ, “Khloe was at her dermatologist for a mole removal … she has a history of skin cancer and got one removed today.”

The procedure, which took place at the Santa Monica Medical Center, is practically painless and we’re told she’s already back out on a press tour for her new show.
