Kristen Stewart: Shooting New Moon Nearly “Killed” Me

b5k45l1.jpg

It wasn’t easy shooting Twilight sequel New Moon for Kristen Stewart — especially when her character Bella has to tell Jacob (Taylor Lautner) that she still longs for vampire Edward (Robert Pattinson).

She tells MTV News New Moon “is the one book in the series that I was intimidated by — in a good way. That’s the best feeling to start a movie with. But probably, my favorite line in the book is when I have to say to [Jacob], “It’s him; it’s always been him!” Like, I have to say that. Yeah, it killed me, it killed me.

“Just like everything in our movie, it’s such a heightened version of reality. It’s like, people don’t just break up [in the "Twilight" films] — they break up and it literally kills you,” she adds. “It’s not like you just say, ‘Oh, I’m really depressed and crying.’ Everything is supposed to be a fantasy version of that. So I always had a really hard time figuring out, ‘Am I doing enough? Do I look like I’m going to die?’”

Lautner agrees, telling MTV News that New Moon is “very complicated. There’s a lot of heartbreak, there’s a lot of things going on. Edward leaves at the beginning, she goes into this depression, I come to try and bring her out of it.”

“Then I go through my own issues, and then she leaves me. It’s all over the place, and there’s a lot going on, and there’s many of those scenes that you described.”

His favorite scene to shoot?

“Well, we call it the break-up scene — but it’s the scene right after she sees me shirtless and I’ve cut off my hair, all different for the first time,” he says. “I have to tell her that we can’t be friends anymore.”

Says Stewart, “He attempts to break up with me — but it doesn’t work out.”

Cheadle’s ‘Madness’ marches to FX

cheadle.jpg

FX is hot on hoops, having picked up a drama project from exec producer Don Cheadle that chronicles the glory and the seedy side of college basketball.

“March to Madness” comes from scribe Joel Silverman, while Pete Segal (“The Longest Yard”) is set to direct. Also attached to the project alongside Silverman, Segal and Cheadle are former college basketball coach Dave Miller and Segal’s producing partner, Michael Ewing.

“March” will revolve around a corrupt college basketball program that cheats its way to the “March Madness” NCAA basketball tournament. Project will be told through the eyes of the college coach, whose idealistic approach to the job has slowly been eroded by the compromises he’s forced to make.

The creatives behind the hourlong drama are intimately familiar with the subject. Silverman spent several years as a sports journalist, covering beats including ACC basketball for outlets such as the Washington Post. Miller’s career includes serving as an assistant basketball coach at USC, Arizona State and Texas.

“March to Madness” is among the scripts still in contention at FX, which has been aggressively ramping up development in recent months. Among dramas in the works, FX has already ordered the series “Lawman” and greenlighted the pilots “Terriers” and “Lights Out.”

Multiple Gossip Girl insiders confirm to EW.com’s Ausiello Files exclusively that the CW phenom is currently shooting an episode for its upcoming third season in which Ed Westwick’s legendary lothario kisses another man.

So who’s the lucky guy? And what are the circumstances surrounding the same-sex smooch? EW.com has all the spoilery details…First things first: Sorry to disappoint, but no, it’s not Chace Crawford. Westwick’s “romantic” interest is up-and-comer Neal Bledsoe (CSI: NY, Guiding Light), who’s guest-starring in episode 6 as Josh Ellis, NYU’s head of freshman affairs.

What do we think about that?

Elizabeth Banks is known for quirky, funny roles in movies like Zach and Miri Make a Porno, but for her next movie, she’ll be teaming up with cinematic heavyweight Russell Crowe and all his Oscar gravitas for drama The Next Three Days.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the film is based on Pour Elle, a French thriller, about a man who tries to save his wife after she’s arrested and convicted for a murder she says she didn’t commit.

Russell and Elizabeth will star as husband and wife in the movie, which will be directed, written and produced by Paul Haggis, the Oscar winner behind 2004’s Crash.
