Rachel Weisz: Botox “should be banned” for actors

Rachel Weisz

Rachel Weisz is no fan of botox.

“It should be banned for actors, as steroids are for sportsmen,” the Mummy actress tells UK Harper’s Bazaar.

“Acting is all about expression; why would you want to iron out a frown?” continued Weisz, who won an Oscar for The Constant Gardener.

She is a fan of a more laid-back look.

“I love the way girls in London dress. It’s so different to the American ‘blow-dry and immaculate grooming’ thing,” says the English-born Weisz.

An inside look at the Jackson children

The Jackson children

At the Michael Jackson memorial Tuesday, the world met – and was deeply moved by – the King of Pop’s 11-year-old daughter, Paris, who gave an unplanned, emotional tribute to her father.

For most of her life, Paris, and her brothers Prince Michael I, 12, and Prince Michael II (a.k.a. “Blanket”), 7, were carefully shrouded from the public eye, often emerging with their father wearing colorful masks. So, who are the Jackson children?

According to family friend Gotham Chopra, the late star’s eldest son Prince is a “fun kid” who “has a lot of energy.” He describes Paris as “very thoughtful, very caring, and very sensitive” and quiet Blanket as “a lot like Michael.”

As PEOPLE reported in 2007, by all accounts, the kids are bright, well-behaved and seemingly well-adjusted. A spokesman from the National Zoo, who accompanied the family on a visit, told PEOPLE at the time, “I was struck by how considerate and nice and normal they all were.” Jackson’s longtime bodyguard Miko Brando recently echoed that sentiment. “They are well-mannered, well-behaved kids,” he said. “They are really level-headed.”

A Normal Dad
It may seem like a contradiction, given their father’s staggering fame and highly scrutinized lifestyle, but many say that as a father, Jackson was nothing but normal and loving. “There were a few times he brought his kids to work,” says tour dancer Christopher “Kriyss” Grant. “You could tell by the way they looked at him that they adored him.”

Adds Jackson’s former publicist Raymone Bain: “They were Michael’s first priority.”

Looking forward, Prince, Paris and Blanket will continue to be well cared for. “The Jacksons have come together and are really loving the kids,” says Chopra. “Cousins and puppies are [around in] full-force, and the kids are enjoying [it].” And no matter what the public may have thought about Jackson, adds Bain, “his children will be his greatest legacy.”

Jennifer Aniston is open to dating Gerard Butler

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston may be dating Bradley Cooper but sources says she is still “open” to dating her new co-star Gerard Butler.

An insider says if Aniston and Cooper’s relationship doesn’t pan out, then the actress may pursue a romance with Butler. “If that (Cooper) doesn’t work out, she would certainly be open to dating Gerard,” the source says.

Aniston and Butler have been flirting on the set of Bounty Hunter. “They flirt, but it’s pretty innocent,” the insider adds. “In the future, love could blossom.”

Miley Cyrus: ‘I’m really into high fashion’

Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus might just be a teenager, but that doesn’t stop the Disney star from having grown-up taste when it comes to fashion. For the August issue of Elle, the Hannah Montana star goes high fashion glam and dishes on everything from her new clothing line with Max Azria to her crooked teeth.

The star tells Elle of her new Walmart collection with Azria, “Literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don’t have it available.”

The collaboration will hit Walmart stores in early August, but Miley is already playing favorites, citing the jeans as her “favorite part of the entire line.” Although, when it comes to denim shopping for herself, the young star knows no limit, “I would pay $500 for the jeans that we make for $20. I’m really into high fashion.” And with a glamorous life filled with premieres and parties, it’s almost hard not to be. “The most fun thing about prom is having that one special night when you dress up and you feel like a princess, and honestly, I get to do that one night a lot,” says Miley.

But, even though she is a superstar, she still has to listen to her parents. “My dad won’t let me fix my teeth or cut my hair. He loves it. He’s like, ‘It’s you!’” says Miley, who has no problem with her dad’s rules. “I like these crooked. I love my teeth.

Amy Adams talks with Bon Appétit about food and her upcoming role in food’s biggest summer film, Julie & Julia

amy_adams_bon.jpg

In her new movie, Julie & Julia, Amy Adams takes to the kitchen as Julie Powell, a frustrated government employee whose life changes when she vows to cook and blog about all the recipes in Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking.

When Amy signed on for the role, she was not an experienced chef. But she learned: “I learned how to poach an egg, which sounds easier than it is. How to cut a tomato and an onion properly was a big deal. I made lobster thermidor, hollandaise sauce, mayonnaise, trussed chicken. I also learned to make an omelet without using a spatula.”

Amy is co-starring in this summer’s biggest foodie blockbuster alongside Meryl Streep
But first, the Oscar-nominated star spills her biggest food secrets to Bon Appétit:

  • When eating out with her cast mates during the filming of the movie, Amy’s favorite food was hamburgers with red onion from Peter Luger in Brooklyn. She admits, “I love raw onions—though they’re not so good for your partner.”
  • What she keeps in her fridge – “I have a lot of hot sauce. When everything else is gone from the refrigerator, hot sauce always remains.”
  • What Amy does for fun: “One of my favorite things to do is cook and have friends over.” Her favorite recipe to cook at home? Brussels sprouts!
  • Her idea of a romantic meal – “Anything that my fiancé [actor Darren Le Gallo] cooks—because he doesn’t cook that often.”
